Everyone is ok, but i think charge is the more adaptable moveset.

I'd have to say charge. I deal the most damage using charge attacks.

Now, I know my Kanetsugu has a Special moveset, however I rarely use his specials. I use his charge attacks more than anything.

In fact, I rarely use ANYONE's specials, save for Yukimura and Keiji (horse-calling).

I'm pretty much the same as my sister.

I find charge attacks to be much more effective than the regular S-string.

Take Kanetsugu for example. His charge attacks equipped with the ice element make him pretty much awesome.

And like my sister, I don't use specials much except for horse calling with Yukimura and Keiji.

Well, I actually use Magoichi's and Masamune's specials a lot when I play as them. But I don't find other characters' specials useful.

Well the only characters in my opinion who had decent/good specials were Sakon and Hanzo.

I'd say Charge and Special because it is what makes it different from the DW series ^^

Specials are a lot more useful in SW3 now, the button press work better than holding R1....

I say charge and special, but I still like normal.

I think all are equal. SW does a great job of balancing all of it's different move-sets out, and there are characters of each type that are really badass, especially when complemented by a good special skill. DW on the other hand has terrible balance issues in most of it's titles.

I agree. Each characters' movesets has their own strength and weakness, and each of their weapons' attack power are reasonable.

Example: Gracia has a horrible S-string, but she makes up for it with her specials and horse moveset and her Musou.

All of the characters in SW are no stronger and no weaker than each other. Some of those with strong S-strings and T-strings have low travelling speed or slow activation time. These tiny things balance out the characters. DW, on the other hand, makes it VERY obvious that a moveset is significantly weaker than another. The only DW game that actually balances these out is DW6 (except for that bow moveset. That was broken.)

:ot:

So, I'm going to say that the best moveset is the Special moveset. All characters wielding them have been balanced out in SW3 and SW3 Z. And a lot of them wielding it are slightly stronger than other characters (except for Aya). Gracia now has a decent S-string and T-string, while making her Specials slightly weaker. Mitsunari now has improved Specials and dicarded the bombs. Noh is the only character without much improvement.

They did Noh pretty wrong. She fights exactly the same as in the other games. Her bombs seems out of place to me though.

I have to go with special attack.
- A balance of Charge and Normal components
- Good Special attack (R1 attacks)

Though in WO I would choose : Almighty+Hideyoshi

Spoiler: click to toggle

My favorite is Charge because there's so many types of effects you can have on the enemy and they are fun to use! Some have really good range too. C2 charge I rely on a lot when fighting enemy officers and C3 is really helpful for clearing crowds.

Kai and Mitsunari, love them both, Kai more!
I like Noh but it's getting boring now, all those games using the same thing!

Charge because it stems off to Tadakatsu, Nobunaga, Yoshimoto, and Motochika's weapons... I am only mentioning Yoshimoto just to add some diversity....

Definitely charged. They are best for crowd clearing and defense-breaking; and since it does not use Musou, it can be used repeatedly.

Nobunaga does become a Charge-Type when you do his R1 completely charged up. So technically, he is both.

They should make a character that can switch moveset types! That would be cool! OuO

I like special because most of the special attacks are useful and are just fun to look at. But for some reason i get the feeling that special type characters are quick attackers compared to other fighting types.
