Dynasty Tactic 1 and 2 today! how different are they...? the design are the same... is DT2 like a expansion to DT1? Anyways I got this reserve a week ago, the guy promise to get it to me... anyways he didnt have it so I check another store, It had DT1 but it's 25$. I ask them if they can get it and they ask is it for PSP? they never heard of Dynasty Tactic (their chinese) I went another store because it use to have DT2 but it disappear! I ask but the guy never heard of it either... I search my first 10 mins and found DT1! then it took me 20 mins to go through the whole store 5 times in the ps2 section to find DT2! I went through Samurai Warriors 2 Empires and I found a created character call Koei Warrior! ahaha... oh man.... both games are 8$ used! It's such a good deal!

I've often kept an eye out for them and at one stage even thought I'd be able to purchase it as I found the cover for it a game shop, but they didn't have the damn disk to go with it. Anyway, today I finally got a copy and had a bit of a run through with it before. So far my first impressions are reasonably good. The range of tactics is a little overwhelming so far even for me who has played the likes of Shining Force and Fire Emblem often. One thing that stands out to me so far is a more realistic and historically accurate feel as compared to the likes of Dynasty Warriors & Kessen II. Not sure how much I'll like it yet, but so far I'm intrigued and will look into it further.

It had more depth in it, a lot more clips and story paths, and was just great. You could get almost any officers, as any of the 3 forces (no Lu Bu in DT1), and the whole map allowed you to get good officers as well. In it, as Shu, I always sent Liu Bei up to Gongsun Zan's terrtory to get Gongsun Zan and Zhao Yun as soon as the 2nd Chapter began. In DT2, for 1 there was no need for that, but it likely wouldn't give you a choice. DT1 is simply more flexible. Could be annoying though. I remember on more than 1 occasion in a Shu campaign, Cao Cao got Zhao Yun, who has good stats, so it made it a bit harder. I ussually got Gan Ning though, which is also odd, but still. As I said, more flexible in DT1, which makes it generally more interesting, but a bit more complex.

It was easy, since you just sent Liu Bei out to recruit him or something. The problem is that it got annoying if you'd be playing as Liu Bei or something and Cao Cao would randomly have Zhao Yun and other Shubies or something.

I consider myself lucky. Anyway I played and finished the in-game tutorial. So far, not so good. To be honest, I found it a little boring. Well it's probably just because I don't like the turn-base gameplay and I've played Kessen III which has a real-time gameplay that makes it more enjoyable. Maybe I should spend more quality time with the game, to decide whether I like the game or not!

Like some other users have said, it is extremely rare and I just had to jump on the game when I found it. I'm glad I did. It's not as complex as ROTK, but it's not as simple as DW. It's in the middle, and I like that. I beat the Liu Bei Prologue, and I am now playing as Sun Ce. I really like the battle presentation and the turn-based gameplay. I like all of the tactic cutscenes, I thought those were done VERY well. The only thing that annoys me is some of the VAs from DW do different voices here. Dong Zhuo's DW VA does Lu Bu? Cao Ren's DW VA does Guan Yu? WTH? But I'll get used to it. At least some are the same, like Zhang Fei's. He does an amazing job in this game. The character models I've seen were generally well done. I'm used to seeing the DW character models, so I was a little thrown off with some of them. I hate how Huang Gai looks, but on the other hand, I think that Zhou Yu's DT2 look is the best look he has between both franchises. So basically it's a mixed bag. I haven't done much though. I'm at the part where you conquer all of the Wu territory and one of your generals rebels and you have to re-take the city.
	Last 5 Movies I've Seen: 1 - Earth vs. The Spider (3/5) 2 - Ginger Snaps (5/5) 3 - Tokyo Zombie (4/5) 4 - Surrogates (4/5) 5 - 13: Game of Death (3/5) (* = one of my Favorite movies)

It can be very frustrating and sometimes just drags on though, so you need to be patient a lot of the time.

KW's Zhou Yu Posts: 2,353 Group: Members Member #64 Joined: September 11, 2005	i love Dynasty Tactics! Excellent game that will make you think twice of where to move and not move. Excellent strategy game and i gotta say it's one of the best series of Koei. Hopefully they'll make a Dynasty Tactics 3 in the future.
