Can't blame KOEI lol cause those online games are kinda different... But no worries, it wont spend us too much money because I believe Nobunaga's Ambition and Uncharted Waters Online are never going to come to NA and EU... The highest possibilities is Dynasty Warriors BB only. So t here's only 1 online game in English so no worries

There's always a big "if" when it comes to whether or not KOEI games are going to be released outside of Japan or even Asia. The one thing we have in our favor is that the DW and SW series have done reasonably well over in the west. Whether or not that's reason enough to ship DWBB or Rot3K Online over seas is another story. I should hope we'd at least get one of them. They both look pretty interesting. I could always use another MMO to get into since FFXI gets old sometimes... |

Theres around 4% chance ROTTK Online will come out of Japan. Probably around 30% chance DWBB will be released out of Japan. Around 2% DWBB will be released into EU. *sigh* |

Maybe we should come up with another petition requesting that Koei release DWBB and ROTK online outside of Japan, since we got another one going already...
|
![]() Disclaimer: I do not own the above image. Gwang Ryeol needs more love! Omg! I just discovered that Guan Yu is in the latest volumes of the Planet Blood Manga series! Ppl, go check it out now! Okay...either the character is Guan Yu or a rip-off of Guan Yu...but he resembles him too much to Not be Guan Yu! | |

From what I know it looks like theres a pretty good chance DWBB will be released due to its' popularity, though ROTTK Online will probably be just for Japan like the other ROTTK games. |

I've never played ROTK games but it looks to me that this game only bares its name and that's it. More or less, it kind of looks like an Asian version of World of Warcraft. Or something similar to games like Silk Road. What's up with Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Quan? Maybe they represent the Dynasties you can align yourself with instead of actually controlling said characters. While DWBB is simply just Dynasty Warriors with online capabilities, ROTK online looks like your typical MMORPG. I think on the official site it states it as an MMORPG. While its chances are seemingly low on coming outside Asia, I just hope it does. It might since it does feature DW character models but I shouldn't hold my breath huh? Well, at least DWBB seemingly does have a better chance of reaching across the Pacific. |

There are only a few differences with DWBB and DW itself. 1) The way better CAW feature which they feel reluctant to add into the actual games itself. 2) You don't just choose a stage and play it, it's an RPG. 3) It is more like Empires then DW itself. Though I think it won't be that good on a PC, probably hard to control. While ROTTK Online just seems like a waste of time, effort and money. |

You can use a gamepad on the PC. DW's already made the leap to PC and supports PS2-like gamepads like the AIRFLO controller. |

A couple brief news stories I found about this game... http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=57940 http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=6866 Though they are a bit old I can't find any contradictory info (I only know english though) to them. Various game sites also say this is a release for the PS2 and the PC. I don't know if Koei will push it for the XBox360 or PS3 or what. Perhaps it will be PC exclusive outside of Japan. From these one can gather that Koei Singapore, sitting on such a "east-meets-west" cultural hub, has full intention of releasing the game worldwide. Why Singapore? From other things I've read while digging for info on this game it has become clear Singapore is trying to put thier nation umong the worlds leading players by beefing up telecommunications and internet/digital technology. I'd say Singapore offered any new companies who moved in and helped, like Koei, huge benefits, tax breaks, in other words adequate compensation to make the deal sound worth it to Koei. Also interesting is this one.. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=23627 Out with the old and in with the new, and the "new" guy seems like he would be in favor of more online gaming, given his origin. It seems we will be getting this game soon enough, but I suddenly don't like the international chances for getting Dynasty Warriors BB now. Mabey Koei will feed us ROTK:Online and call it done. If we are lucky then Koei Singapore, when finished with ROTK:Online might begin working on localization for Dynasty Warriors BB and who knows what else. Remember the old game most of us never got called Nobunaga's Ambition Online? Hmm... I only hope ROTK:Online isn't a dull farming grindfest like RF Online/Ragnarok Online/Maple Story. So many hopes for this game. |

To whoever said ROTK:Online sounds like a waste of time and money remember that a lot of people are so wrapped up in Koei's famous Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors/ROTK/Kessen series that the company could probably take a steamy crap, write one of those names on it, and ship it worldwide. I bet it would sell at least half a million copies before people even began to question the value of their latest purchase, hehe. |

the only reason why ppl hate it it's becsause they think it's hack, slash, hack, slash.. ppl play the DW/SW games for gameplay and repetativeness, rather we play these games to see how historically acurate they are due to us knowing the history about these warriors. You know not a lot of ppl know that the characters of DW/SW were real. I explained to liek 5 customers yesterday and now they actaually appreciate the franchise.
anyway back on topic. I know it's going to be pay to play, but still no release date on the EU or English version?

I think I saw a screenshot of this that looked like it even had crafting/smithing. And that siege warfare looked pretty cool too. I guess my biggest question at this point is will the game be free-action, like dynasty warriors or Phantasy Star Online, or like almost all the other rpgs and you just get close enough to your target, hit "auto attack", and occasionally click on one of your class abilities with a weapon speed either preset or based off the weapon.. It sort of looks like an everquest-meets-dynasty-warriors game which I suppose wouldn't be bad. |
