Romance of Three Kingdoms Online (RoTK Online aka. Sangokushi Online). There is 2nd Open Beta for Japanese version starting on February 7th, 2008. At this time, you can get the open beta account (You can get the account since January 17th, 2008). You cannot download the RoTK Online's client yet, until January 31st, 2008.

Also, players who participated in 1st Open Beta (in September - October 2007), their characters' data will carry over and can use those accounts for 2nd Open Beta as well.

I have 2 accounts (3 characters in each account, for a total of 6) with all of those characters are at Lv 20. Hopefully, the gameplay in that game will be improve.

So now that the beta is complete and the final game is released, I wonder how well the game is doing in sales? I hope that strong sales in Japan means a higher possibility for this game to make it to the US.

At this time, RoTK Online is officially released. Therefore, this game is now started to collect the monthly subscription fee and such.

You can still play with 30 Days Trial Account that has Level 20 Gap for free though.

This game, RoTK Online, probably has less probability of getting it releases outside Japan (even though it is also developed by KOEI Singapore as well). The sale for this game is quite well due to insane amount of promotions along with the two open betas keep most players in open beta to keep playing. I think there are around 5,000+ players or even more in all 3 servers.

However, any KOEI online games to be release outside Japan, either going to be much longer (and REALLY LONG) to wait to make that happen, or never release outside Japan. (So far, no KOEI online games are release overseas beside Asia region only...)

That is depending on the popularity on other versions of the game firs (like release non-Japanese versions to other Asian countries). Dynasty Warriors Online, the part of the most famous series of Dynasty Warriors game for KOEI... At this point, it is still only available in the East Asia part (China, Taiwan, and Japan). That game released for almost 2 years now, still no news about release for overseas in English (or any other languages) whatsoever.

They say that, if China and Taiwan versions are successful, then there is a HIGH probablility to make English version of DWO happen. However, I don't know how long they will wait (to see non-Japanese versions successful) and start the project for overseas versions... Nobody can control here. The only way for us, as the fans, is to hope that the game that you want to be in English will be really successful that they have inspiration enough to make in English and release overseas!

For now, DW Online > RoTK Online though... DWO probably will be the first one, then RoTK Online for a year or two later (after DWO English version release, if that ever happen...) due to DW popularity is much more than RoTK one.

For me, at this time, I am already paid the subscription fee to continue to play. (since 5 out of 6 of my characters are Level 30 already. Therefore, if I don't pay the fee, my account will be LOCKED!)

However, nowaday, for foreign players... It is nearly impossible to buy or pay anything from GAMECITY due to GAMECITY officially banned the foreign credit cards. I managed to find a way to pay, but it is complicated process... I will not tell anyone about this process as if I tell it here, then everyone else may do so and lead to the bigger event that foreign players don't want to happen, which is the IP Ban... (if that happen, then it is IMPOSSIBLE for anyone beside people in Japan to play any online games from GAMECITY! Even Japaneses in other countries cannot play as well!) So, please, don't ask about the way to pay for GAMECITY stuffs...

According to local newspapers(Singapore), Koei hope that the English version can be launched at the end of this year.

The new dungeon called "•Xα•τ" in Japanese (added to RTKO JP version on last Thursday (July 24th, 2008)) is named as "Ice Cave" in English by Development team in KOEI Singapore.

I don't know when, but somebody said like the Q4 of 2008. Let's see...
