That...was probably the cutest thing I ever saw. Although she did fumble a bit with catching the fans. But I guess that's to be expected when trying to dance with such big fans. |

thats pretty dorky... (well, just cosplaying in general is) ...but she does look a lot like Da Qiao. It's nearly impossible to dance with such big fans despite that she did well. |

See what I mean? Now thats cosplay! Okay if I were to judge this costume by hand, I would give this performer between a 7 or a 8 out of 10. However cosplay is for amatuers only, its not supposed to involve professionals right away. But since Dynasty Warriors is one of my favorite video games, I have to give her credit. Great job. Now hear my comments! On the Positive Side: :lol: + The person who dressed up as Da Qiao did an excellent job, the materials are like perfect to me. And besides im used to seeing the characters in new costumes. + Danced to one of the DW5 music collection, she chose the one that involves the the Encyclopedia/Camp music. + You dont have to be a professional to cosplay any character, besides its supposed to be fun and entertaining! On the Negative Side:  - The fans she is holding are Da Qiao's 2nd weapon, the Peach Fans. She could have held either True Beauty or Qiao Beauty. - She almost dropped one of her Peach Fans to the ground while she was trying to catch it, so close. - I dont think this person was that shy or nervous to me, but performing in a costume is very tricky if you wear it all day, plus her fans are so large and heavy, its not easy to maneuver fast. Bonus: In case you dont know where this person performed, she performed at Anime North 2006 located in the province of Canada. B) - Kanetsugu Naoe |

You should take away another point for it not being her DW3 costume! =P But honestly, it was good and it takes guts to do something like that, especially if she was shy. So I'll give it a 8.5/10. |

2/10 In my opinion, that takes no talent, I wouldn't even call it a dance, she was just swinging about her fans... PS: I find it ridiculous that someone would actually dress up like Da Qiao anyway. |

Aww... 2/10 is too low actually, I'll give her 8/10 because her outfit DW5 is good with the DW5 musics, the dance is ok (but she had guts to do it). There's no eye-contact and she felt shy so I gave her 8/10... |

I'm democratic. 8/10. Chaos, you're being mean. You think meddling with fans are easy? My mom once participated in a fan dance and it took her weeks of practice to finally get the dance perfect. This Da Qiao was rather slipshod I think. Her fan almost dropped, yeah. Besides, ancient China always had this kinds of boring dances involving people holding whatever and swinging them at ease. As long as the performers are pretty, the lords are satisfied. Nice work on the costumes and weapons. I'd rate her 9/10 for the cosplay. Sad that she did not use True Beauty or Qiao Beauty. |

Okay, it seems that everyone loves to judge this cosplayer using my point system, its true it goes up to 10 points. Dont be afraid of being honest, some people love seeing this person cosplay as Da Qiao, while someone out there doensn't like it. 2 out of 10 points, now thats so honest of this person. I do admit the dance was kind of a standing motion for less than a minute, try wearing and performing as a Dynasty Warrior on stage. But remember, it takes practice. :lol: |

Unfortunatly, You cant just expect to have a costume for Dynasty Warriors in one day. It takes a lot of time and money for a costume like Da Qiao to be made. After all I have seen many girls portray Da Qiao from DW5, its not simple. If you want your costume to be great, you have to create it. Buying the costume from someone that has been made already doesn't count. Besides cosplay is for amateurs, not for the trained professional like me. I made my Zuo Ci costume, and it did took me 4 months to finish. One girl spent over $1,000 to perfect a Ma Chao costume, in fact that is the only costume in cosplay to have such a high cost. The bottom line is that if you want a costume like Da Qiao, think very carefully how long it will take, then try your luck putting on the costume. Until then, you should just listen to what you want.

8/10 for the because of the outfit and the music chosen(although it doesn't fitted to be danced X_X) 6/10 for the dance don't know why but from my view, it seems she need alot of work on the foot because it just looks like hand movements only and didn't turn or anything. so a final of 7/10 Side note: do you guys pronouce da qiao that way? because I'm chinese so.. seems pretty weird hearing it like that XD |
