Japanese version has Japanese voices and subs only.

And the US version isn't even announced yet, so absolutely nobody knows whether there will be dual voice option if there is US version.
Though, there are some hints that, I'm afraid, makes it unlikely.

1. KOEI US has been notorious for leaving the JP voices behind, even in SW2 & SW2E.
2. I really doubt the free space on the DVD... 77+ characters plus generics' movesets, voices, etc; +-60 maps; bunch of BGMs; and lack of FMVs that is caused by the three things above...

Hi all KW members! I have played Musou Orochi in Japan version I like this game but I feel somehow a bit ...down..therefore I wonder if KOEI will make the Empire and Xtreem Legend version. The will there be any Created Character? I'm looking forward for good news.

I think koei should´ve used some of the features from the Empire-games. Like giving commands to other officers (I´ve heard they die pretty easy in this game) therefor it would be better if you could command them to stay or to gather or something...

I´d rather play without the english voices. Hopefully there will be a 360-version that contains japanese voices.

This game takes up 3.31 GB of the 4.7 GB limit. There's plenty of space for a Japanese voice option :)

A question for those who have played Musou Orochi: Do you think it was rushed or did Koei actually put some effort into it? I would like to hear your opinions >_>.

It's got elements of both, IMO.

Rushed:
-Only what, 1 new stage?
-Difficulty doesn't correspond too well with character levels.
-Very weird glitches (This is looking at you, Sakon and Xu Huang)
-Characters level up too fast...

Effort:
-The R1 attacks are actually really useful this time
-2 New Playable characters
-Musou Burst is great

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I read some reviews and they said KOEI did put some effort in this game so far and it's still worth playing. This game has been developed for a year more (before SW2: Empires released in JP). The lack of FMVs are because of the space and one most important thing, KOEI's strategy isn't like Square-Enix. Square-Enix actually promotes their games when they're in the 10% to 20% completion of their development, like FFXII the official site was launched almost a year plus the game released, but Musou Orochi official site was launched few weeks before the game released and this made people think the game is actually "in rush" and not that good.

Well of course it's not the best because it's a "fan service game" but to be honest, KOEI did put some efforts in it. :)

If you know Chinese, go to the link below and read the review, I'm surprised it got 9/10... But they reviewed carefully with the detailed information given if you can see (unlike US reviewers, judge and rate the game within 1-2 hours they played always if the game is not in their interested - that's why DW and SW series have extremely low marks, I saw in one website - SW2: Empires deserved 3/10 and this is such a crappy review!)

OK here's the link btw --> http://game.21cn.com/console/ps2/news/2007...2/3146189.shtml

Sound: 8, Control: 9, System: 9, Overall: 9

Some of the maps have been redesigned. Chang Ban and Mt. Ding Jun, for example, now have big Japanese-style buildings standing around everywhere (top of the mountain in Ding Jun looks very different now.) Kawanakajima's south portion of the map has been completely replaced with a maze.

Several of the movesets have been enhanced. Xing Cai is actually PLAYABLE now! Her standing charge has an extra attack where a burst of energy appears around her hitting everyone, giving her the knock-down aura where she can hit people just by running into them.

I've noticed horses jump a lot farther now too.

Nobunaga has his old SW1 moveset back, and Ranmaru is back to his SW1 attacking speed. Also, most of the SW2 people have new portraits and in-game art (Hideyoshi's is rather amusing.)

All those C1 stomps for people like Sun Ce and Xu Huang? They actually do damage now and have better range. Two hits from Sun Ce's will kill a peon, for example.

Some of the alternate colors are really cool, like Mitsuhide's "Mitsurugi"(from Soul Calibur) colors, or Sun Ce and Ieyasu having the other guy's army colors for their alt. Xu Zhu's alt makes him look like he's been turned into one of Orochi's demon pawns. :o Nobunaga's alt makes him look like the white knight coming to the rescue (which he pretty much is in his storyline.)

If you jump cancel out of Sakon's C1 after you grab someone that person will be stuck to your hand. There's no way to remove them.

And I haven't tried this one yet, but I heard if you use Xu Huang's C1 to kill an officer you'll be stuck in the "Helicopter" animation until something hits you.

4th Weapons are obtained on Hard difficulty (4-5 star stages) or any stage on Chaos.

Hard mode is a lot tougher than SW2's, even with a maxed character. I've heard that the only character you can really plow through hard and very hard with is Orochi, but I don't know, mine is only level 40.

As for the level, I heard Terdorigawa is good. I haven't actually obtained any 4ths yet though. I'm going to do that later today or tomorrow.

What's the maximum level your character can be? And is Chaos mode harder than the Chaos mode in DW5? Better yet, is Hard mode any tougher than DW5 Chaos mode? Cause if it is it's gonna be hell >_<"

Yeah, I didn't expect that.

One thing I'm glad is that Pang De(Morita Masakazu) speaks his name a lot more powerful now. :P

Before it was like:

Now it's like:

The game hasn't even been out a week, the best we could do is post a Japanese walkthrough.

Anyway, the 4th artwork for anyone is unlocked by obtaining their personal item. The personal items have character specific requirements, and I don't think there is a complete list of them just yet. The third artwork, IIRC, is unlocked through maxing out your "attacker type" bars under the status screen. I don't recall how to get the second at the moment.

IIRC, the second one is unlocked when you learn all the skills that character can give you.
