Today's the day!

I'm gonna try and find a copy nearby, and maybe trade in old games to help get it.

As for what neemeia was saying about EXP gain, I think the 3 person team acrues the experience from a level and then divide the spoils of war after the stage ends? Not sure (as I haven't played yet, obviously)

That is the case for reserve EXP ... but the characters level up on their own with individual EXP. So, if Player 1 earns 1000 EXP w/ Sun Ce & Player 2 earns only 600 EXP w/ Sun Ce, the EXP earned by Player 1 will be kept to level up Sun Ce.

Hope I'm making sense ... I'd be able to explain it better if I had the game ... *ahem, EB Games*

My goal is to go during my lunch break to get it. But I have my doubts...GameStop is always like "we don't care Koei games cause no one plays them!"

Ugh,im so mad.

First,Best Buy says they wont get the game in until the 25th. Then, the only Gamestop near me says that their computers say that "The game is never supposed to come in" and now Amazon, where i pre ordered the game at,says it wont be shipped out until Friday,so ill have to wait until Monday.

I guess, Warriors Orochi got messed up the shipping date in US!
I pre-ordered at GameStop as well. The cashier said that game will NOT come until TOMORROW at earliest!

Also... look at this!!!
Xbox version now shipping online...
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=200013
BUT for PS2...
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=280006
It is NOT shipping yet!

And that as of Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 @ 9:31 PM EDT!

Also the earliest date for other US major stores/merchants:

  • Amazon.com = Friday, September 21st, 2007
  • Best Buy = Tuesday, September 25th, 2007
  • WalMart = Wednesday, September 19th, 2007
Out-of-Stock for wried reason: Target.com

The rest are pre-order status without any specific dates on when the item will be available...

What?!? Is it Koei US fault OR the US stores fault?!?

Anyways, I have to play in tomorrow's evening then. For now, homework time... x.x

Sincerely, Pan2007 (September 18th, 2007)

Most new games are never out in store on Tuesday. There's really nothing wrong with it.

You know what?...
Then why the "Halo 3" release on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH, 2007?
Then why the "MySims" for Nintendo DS can be release TODAY?!?

If you look at the release dates for future games now... You will noticed that most console games are release on TUESDAY (at least for PlayStation games)!
http://www.gamestop.com/default.asp?sect=1271

I don't get it. What I do know is most games are release on Tuesday in US here. In earlier ones, they does not have any problems. All earlier DWs and SWs are on sale right on the release date.

But for this one?!? What is going on?!?
Not enough copies prehap?

Sincerely, Pan2007 (September 18th, 2007)

Well, if you check "MySims" board at Gamefaqs, you will realize that nobody there has the game yet. Tuesdays are usually shipping date. Most stores don't get the games until Wednesday.

I guess... The better way is...

Release Date: Tuesday, September 18th, 2007
Available in Store Date: Starting Wednesday, September 19th, 2007...

I guess, the company put "Release Date" as in term of they release the games to the stores. This is probably means that game will be available SURELY AFTER the games release date.

But, I am wondering. Why some earlier games (that I did the pre-order), available right on the release date?

Sincerely, Pan2007 (September 18th, 2007)

also there are ship dates and street dates when it comes to video game releases.

ship dates as is the case with warriors orochi is the day they are sent out to stores to be received the next day it's also the day when people who order the game online get it sent to their house.

Street dates as in the case of halo 3 and madden 2008 have the games available on the date mentioned. as the games have already been shipped to stores by that date.

I GOT MINE NOW!
Hmm... I don't know, which one should I go first... >_>

But my first mission is to...
UNLOCK ALL CHARACTERS!
Hahahah...
Then MAX all girl characters!

I think most of GameStop (at least in big cities) should have the Warriors Orochi in shelves already.

Sincerely, Pan2007 (September 19th, 2007)

All game stops in my area have it now. They always get the games one day after the shipping date. My first goal is to get all characters too. Than get their max leveled weapons and try for everyone on 99.

I just got the game this evening and have been playing!

So far I'm really unhappy with the fact that the characters take absurdly high amounts of damage even on lower difficulty settings and the fact orochi's side had no levels at all. Which, in my opinion, is a damn waste since Orochi and Da Ji are really well designed and interesting characters.

I found out a way to kill officers easy with Orochi, do short jumps continuously with a square attack.

Example .. jump (without holding X) square, jump sqaure, jump square.

Did you start the game on Normal? Since I did and my first reaction was "Damn, these enemies are pathetic". Seriously, I started as Shu and during the first stage I spammed Xing Cai's and Yoshihiro's Special attacks. I used Zhao Yun mainly against enemy officers. The last stage I cleared was Shu's X3 and enemies were still quite easy to beat even though all my characters were under level 10.

I wouldn't say that this game is any harder than other Warriors games on Normal. However, I haven't tried Hard or Chaos so everything is still possible.

Same here. I was playing Wu's final stage on hard and I was doing fine when I started to use Sun Ce and Quan but the moment I used Sakon Shima, I got knocked out in 2 blows by those annyoing patchnose freak soliders. Not only that, all 3 of them were at lvl 99. >_> Never in my life of gaming have I ever experience playing a game on "hard" and getting killed in two hits...
