Its awesome IMO. Wait, they changed his VA in DW 5: XL? So that means Steve Blum's not playing Sun Jian anymore? Steve Blum is one of my favorite voice actors of all time. Lame, man. Just lame... Either way, I like Sun Jian a lot. He's my favorite member of the Sun family, and my second favorite Wu officer, after Zhou Tai. I thought his moveset was slightly lacking in 5, but he's still a solid character.

And the reason why his voice changed in Xtreme Legends was because Koei hire cheap voice actors to protect the budget in expansions, thats all. Cheap lame, cheap lame Koei. :angry: His voice in Xtreme Legends sounds like someone does when they have a cold, or hold their nose and talk lol. Yes it was awful.

So Jian gets my vote, but not entirely because I prefer Sun Quan's MS, appearance and voice.

I just wish as his time in the era depicted is so short that he was a more unique character with a more unique storyline for his moveset and story mode. That signature C1 rules, quick musou, uses the fire orb the best IMO, C4 on par with Dian Wei as the best in the game. Not the best of crowd clearers though, and with that light weapon in DW5 he's lost alot of steam, that was just wrong Koei :angry:

And yeah, it'd be cool if he decided to rebel against Yuan Shu, as payment for holding back the supplies. What would be great though would be a storyline where Sun Jian get's conked on the head during the ambush, falls down a cliff, miraculously survives and loses his memory all in one!!! Then he'd participate in battles in Wu as a soldier, and in the end, he get's conked on the head, and is about to die when he remembers everything and dies a happy man. Yeah, totally not historical, but it'd be cool if that was the case.

For the Ruler movesets I'd say that Sun Jian has the worst! Yes it is a ruler moveset, but Lui Bei's is better, and if you ever played DW3 and got Cao Cao's 4th weapon then you'll know he has the best. First of all thing this topic about the game not the history second the jade seal was not found by sun jian third sun jian did much and in 7 years he made his name like a star fourth if you hate the sun clan that much dont spam against them again fifth what did cao pi did than sitting in his chair and dance . sun jian has the best movments among the ruler and has a good musou too .

He could have been better with a Medium weapon, but he can still dish out the damage. He is the third best sword-ruler character in DW5 for me, right after Sun Quan and Cao Cao. As for history, he was an extremely talented and brave general. Had he lived longer, I believe he may have rebelled against Yuan Shu.

Father of Wu's founder and of it's ruler. He's always been good to me. A balanced useful moveset. Interesting models. He looks the best now. He has a great new weapon and model. He even appears to be larger than his son. Finall he might actually be the true Tiger of Jiang Dong.
