Agreed. I think he got the biggest improvement out of the rulers other than Liu Bei. Now that Sun Jian is more like he was in the novel, all big and kinda scary looking , he is just awesome. Although I do agree that he definantly should have had some aspirations other than serving the Han. In every other DW game he was trying to gain glory for the Sun family. What happened to all that fire? It's shame that he finally gets a cool moveset and look to back it up but loses the ambition.

Yeah and i also disagree about how his moves are more vertical than horizontal. His moves have a pretty decent range at level 3 renbu, not to mention his fire sword slash... EPIC |

He's more of a father in DW6, as beforehand he was just a man who constantly announced his sharp claws and how the opposition should of feared the tiger. I really like his story and cutscenes in DW6, but to me I've always preferred a historical game and therefore historical battles and not fictional ones. He's the sort of character that I wouldn't of minded just having a few stages. His moveset was becoming very dull up to 5, though was extremely slowly getting more unique to Sun Quan's. This was why I was very pleased with the ending result in 6, even if most of the movesets did look cool. |

I hate fighting against Sun Jian in DW4 at the Jian Ye battle. He had clones and I had to find the real Sun Jian. I don't like much his outfit in 4 and 5. His armour in 6 is so amazing. I like how KOEI designed it. He has white hair and he is more like a father to his three kids. His best cutscene is when he is ambushed and killed by his enemy in DW5. I must say it is a good acting. |

Disliked Sun Jian's DW6 moveset. It maybe because I've been using a Power weapon for him, but he's generally too slow compared to others with unique movesets. I also find his attacks not having enough range. He does have Swift Attack though, so he does have instant Infinite Renbu if you have Bonus Special. The fire already applied to his attacks are great, though Liu Bei and Cao Cao, and even Sun Quan outmatch Jian. KOEI did do some justice for him costume-wise. His costume and voice have really been off and unappealing for a ruler. The new model highlights Jian's fatherhood and Tiger motif. |

You should definitely use technique weapons with him. He has very limited range without them. And yeah, he does attack a bit slower than the other rulers. I tend to use his charge strings more than his s-string though. It works better with him than Cao Cao and Liu Bei. |

Love Papa Sun, he has a likeable personality and an awesome DW6 moveset. Though, his obsession with comparing himself to a tiger tends to be borderline creepy to me. HOWEVER, there is one thing that bothers me about him to no end, and its that he is stealing Quan and Ce screen time! BAD JIAN! |

That pretty much sums it up for me on what I think about him. Sun Jian never really stood out to me even though I liked him pre DW6 because of his Steven Jay Blum voice and tiger style armor which was great for him but I thought his new look and voice suited him better. I personally felt that he didn't deserve his own Musou Mode if they were just going to put Ce and Quan in all of his cutscenes. I feel that those two deserved more like his father to have their own Musou Modes because of that. |

^ Agreed... Sun Jian just wasn't the same when Steve Blum stopped doing his voice and yeah it was a bummer that Quan/Ce didn't get Musou Modes... but I believe Koei has always generally favor Sun Jian as the leader of Wu... You could say that Zhou Yu's story mode could also be what Sun Ce's story mode would've been... and you can say the same for Lu Xun and Sun Quan. I think it might've been a little too repetitive so they decided to just allow Ce and Quan be major supporting characters for those story modes... |

I think Sun Quan should have gotten a Musou instead of Sun Jian. Sun Quan was ruler during the main part of the game, which was the three kingdoms era. Sun Jian is annoying, 'fear the tiger of Jiang Dong' is one of the most annoying lines in DW in my opinion. His DW6 design is better than the previous games but that's not really saying much. |

Yeah, that is how I saw their roles played out in the game. Don't get me wrong, Sun Jian has become one of my favorites in DW6 so it didn't bother me a whole lot that his sons were left out of the loop as far as storylines go. Just seeing them in all those cutscenes alone, we shouldn't complan about when you compare them to characters like Xiao Qiao and Zhen Ji who didn't get much cutscene time themselves or any at all. :3 |

Sun Jian has always been awesome in the games to be shot by arrows and crushed was a big shame who knows what might have happened if he wouldn't have died then in dw6 he looks awesoem his moveset is better then any other ruler in dw5 everytime he spoek it was funny it was like he had a cold made me laugh everytime |

The only time he had that voice in 5 was for Empires and XL. Originally in the game it was Steven Jay Blum who did his voice which didn't have that cold sound to it. The voice only got worse in Warriors Orochi with that nasal cold voice. You will be surprised to know that Grant George (Kilik from Soul Calibur IV) did his voice for DW5: XL, Warriors Orochi series, and DW6 now which I thought he did a much better job with then in XL and WO. |
