I can't exactly remember which one I played as first. When my friend brought over his SW1 game, I think I chose Oichi because I liked her outfit (I had NO knowledge on how to play these games). She ended up being one of my favorite characters in SW1. Hanzo was the first character I played in SW2. ^^ He was a lot of fun to play as in SW1, and I loved his new costume in SW2, so I decided to pick him for SW2. |

Hmm... Mitsuhide if I remember correctly. Seems like I picked him because, of the characters available, he looked the most like like a traditional samurai to me. I pretty quickly switched over to Nobunaga though, and generally start out with him in any new games that come out. Though it's always difficult to choose between him and Ginchiyo. |

I selected Hanzo Hattori as my first character. One I like ninja's and two his weapon just looked so unique. Even though now I use Mitsunari more and prefer him. |

Oda Nobunaga ... I went to a friend place one day and he was playing Samurai Warriors 1 and ask me if I want to play so I said yes and pick Nobunaga and then yeah

The 1st character I use in SW is oichi I love her so much and in SWXL kunoichi , and in SW2 kotaro fuma , and in SW2XL gracia << the best ..

I played as Yukimura first in both games as I generally play as Zhao Yun first in DW games. It just feels right. The story modes I enjoyed the most in each game were Magoichi Saika/Mitsuhide Akechi in SW1, and Nagamasa Azai/Kotaro Fuma in SW2. |

The very first character I played as in SW was Mitsuhide. I saw his face on the back of a game manual or something, and went to rent the game just so I could get a better look at his hotness and pretty hair. Good thing, too, since I'm now a big fan of the series... In SW2, my very first character was actually Ginchiyo. She looked pretty cool, especially since you rarely see female warriors that actually look like warriors (and are actually wearing bonafide armor). And her lightning affinity was just awesome. I just wish her musou wasn't so crappy... |

Wouldn't hurt to try putting this down, meme-esque. SW:XL- Uesugi Kenshin, he appealed to me having a sword and looked very "monk-like." I grown to love his moveset and musou mode and keep him as a "main," until I gave a shot at Hashiba Hideyoshi... SW- Sanada Yukimura, just for lulz. Only because I played him in SW:XL first before purchasing the original. SW2- Uesugi Kenshin, again. Luckily having a SW1 data, I was able to import him into the game. Definitely had a more powerful, revamped moveset compared to the first game, and loved seeing the Bishamonten character on his back once more. SW2:XL- Toyotomi Hideyoshi: Love this guy to bits. Fast swings, wide range, normal moveset, and personality-wise with an accurate musou mode; Until playing Toshiie's musou mode, KOEI was off the game with Hideyoshi's cheerful demeanor. SW2: Empires- Uesugi Kenshin; Again. |

SW2 - Nene. I loved ninjas at the time, so I played her.  SW2:XL - Chosokabe Motochika. He had sweet hair - and a shamisen.

I do believe my first character I played as back in Samurai Warriors 1 and is still my favourite, Keiji Maeda. I loved his move set and attacks, first stage with him I got up to 1000 kills so that made me even like him even more. |

Yukimura on SW2 I actually played SB first, and Yukimura was the only character I recognized, so there. I feel dirty now. |

I've only played 2 SW games, so the selection is rather small, to say the least. SW2: Kotaro. I thought he looked neat on the cover, so I played as him. SW SoW: I'm thinking the first person I played with was Nobunaga. He's my favorite SW character (closely followed by Magoichi and Kotaro). |
