Basically just express your opinion of HIM in any way, personality, voice, LOOKS, moveset etc. I thought he was a girl all along, until I heard his voice when I got the game and I was like o.0 - His costume and the facial features make him look like a girl. And now I reckon he's quite a fun dude to use, even though his moveset is average. |

Ranmaru's a guy in a tunic with a nodachi. He dresses somewhat like a girl. He looks like a Japanese version of Link. |

The only time i've ever seen Mori Ranmaru before his sex change was in Onimusha 3:Demon Siege. Honda Tadakatsu reminds me of Shibata Katsuie in that game..
 Personally, i'm not a big fan of him, and i agree that his moveset is rather 'average' and feels kinda chunky for someone like Ranmaru (you'd expect him to be a tad quicker) |

Yea, he kinda reminds me of Link. Ranmaru doesn't seem like the slow kind of guy, he looks much lighter. Koei sure has some imagination with him. |

i think he's good to use i especially like using his lightning dash attack because it takes most of the enemies life bar down more quicker |

I haven't used him in SW2, but I think the reason why he's somewhat slow in SW, is the fact that he's using a Nodachi. I don't know how much they weigh, but it looks rather heavy. The fact that his strikes are somewhat slow is logical, if the nodachi is heavy. And also, the blade is very long, and he has to hold it with both hands, which would probably be a tad bit awkward. |

But even if the Nodachi is quite heavy, he doesn't seem like the guy who would use such a big and bulky weapon. Something lighter, like a katana would suit him more. |

Reminds me slightly of Zhange He of Dynasty Warriors... Koei have a habit of having a 'gender confused' character in games, Yu Jin from Kessen II being another example! |

Ranmaru isn't really confused about his gender. He's just, um, flying the Rainbow Flag, like Zhang He and Yu Jin from Kessen 2. |

Ranmaru is an okay character, but his moveset is quite slow. His charge attacks are pretty good, his musou is great for crowds and he has a the coolest looking sword in the game in my opinion. |

He's good when his last charges are unlocked. But that's true, he's slow for some charges and the ennemy can block/dodges easily. I regret his musou mode, I think he didn't deserved to be removed from the Musou/Story mode.Altough he was quite young when he died, he did more than some characters who actually have a Story. For his looks, I knew this character before the creation of SW, so I didn't confused him for a girl. I think he's like he's supposed to be, in the books, so nothing more to say about this. |

Ranmaru gets out of 10...a terrible 4. Mostly because he is slow...looks like a girl (Damn transvestite) and his attacks arent all that strong...Average strength when your slow aint what you wanna see...lets all look back at DW5. Wei Yan...he looks REAL fast, but his attacks...werent all that great...he was just a breakdancing lunatic really. Mitsuhide is a pumped up version of ranmaru with a slightly shorter sword. And he looks cooler...its a shame he is always concerned about his conscience otherwise he would be one of my faves. Sephiroth - The Phoenix |

I liked Ranmaru's moveset in SW1, and the fact that he looks like a girl doesn't bother me, because it's historically accurate. What did bother me about SW1 Ranmaru was that he shouldn't have had "Siege of Inabayama Castle", partly because he was born two days before the castle fell to the Oda(unless the Saito had a two-year-old, nodachi swinging he-she on their side, which I think should have warded the Oda off, personally XD). Things that aren't historically accurate just annoy me... that's why i like being oblivious to the REAL facts XD Another thing that annoyed me about SW1 Ranmaru was his costume. If anyone has ever seen the film "Azumi", they'll see that both of his models came roughly from that movie... and it looked fine on Azumi... but not on the game version of Ranmaru... His SW2 costume was considerably better, though =D I like Ranmaru, as a character. In fact, I think it's safe to say he's one of my favourite characters. His speed doesn't bother me, his charges are nice(especially in SW2), and the fact that HE has a female VA is only slightly discomforting(especially because i think it fits). I was REALLY disappointed that neither he or Okuni(although she really didn't contribute to ANY of the battles at all XD) had a Story mode. Fix that for SW3, please, Koei? |

Ranmaru's father was in the Oda inner circle. Ranmaru fighting the Oda in SW didn't make much sense Ranmaru's voice was okay, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. |

I actually prefer the female voice of 2, to the Peter Brady whiny ass squeek voice of 1. Still, he is my favorite character. I do best with him, regardless of attack speed. Just last night I had a newly acquired Ranmaru, and I played him in...uh...Segekihara? It just slipped my mind. The end level of Mitsunari vs Ieyasu. I had to fight Mitsunari, Yoshino, Musashi, Sakon, and two faceless people all at once. The 4 main people were glowing, and I was getting my ass handed to me on a fast plate. I somehow used rolls, and his great ranged moves to win. I was in shock. |

To be honest, i was convinced that it was a girl, but when i read somewhere that Nobunaga was attracted to Ranmaru(or something like that) i thought it would be a bit weird, but lately, ive been told its a man? |

So, I maxed out Ranmaru. His "final" musou is insane. He does true musou, and those energy liek blades just constantly shoot out infront of you. I put it on hard, and played a fairly tough level, and my musou DECIMATED every enemy general. Best musou in the game perhaps, it cut through Nobunaga in a few swings. Also, I was fighting hanzo and 2 other officers at Sekigahara on hard. I had attack x2, my final maxed out musou, and a double musou with my bodyguard. And before I did it, I froze them. It was like an elemental slaughter fest. Ice, Fire, lighting, and carnage. They were dead in the blink of an eye. So is the way of Ranmaru

I like him, he's hot :3 i think its normal that Ranmaru looks like a girl in a japanese game, since 'bishonen' (pretty boy) is one of favourite type of boys for girls.. His movesets are cool too ^^ |
