Yes i can see tht the sig says it all! :rolleyes: as for me Ranmaru is just the prettest guy ever i love his huge nodachi and i think he oufit and design is super beautiful  i shall love him forever *waves fans around* lol

I like using him, but he seems to be little more than a sword stand in a pair of hotpants... Granted, I have not played through SW1, just SW2, where he is merely a background character. Oh, I also like in No's Dream, if player 2 takes Nobunaga (Like I did) and attacks Ranmaru when he shows up he says, "Lord Nobunaga, why would you hit me like that?" And Nobunaga just laughs... :lol: |

obviously like almost everyone i thought he was a girl t first but then i learned , he was one of my favs , since the start of SW1 with mitsuhide ! I think he has a great moveset a smaller diffrent unique version of mitsuhide ..so i liked him , But his personallity isnt great for me , he was put much into SW2 because of the no story mode , thats probably why though...didnt get to see much of him , cant really decied ,but from the first game..its good enough . His Apperance can change a little though , maybe more armour , to make it less flimsy and like you know....Dont make it obvious , lol |

Ranmaru is a good character, i like his movement. I unlocked him in all SW also his ultimate and final weapon.....I hope he can be us in all SW series |

I like to use him since SW1 because of his musou.. and i think koei is lowering his musou effectiveness in SW2.. I felt the differences

Well, the transition between SW1 and 2, I can't tell if there was a downgrade in his musou, but theres clearly a downgrade from SW2 to SW2:XL. His C5 is a fairly slow 180 degree frontal slice attached with auto-death/demon element, but because of the change to death/demon element in SW2:Xl, its a junk move

Ranmaru has a good moveset. I liked his moveset because of the shock waves. The only thing I don't like about him is his speed. But he is always with Nobunaga in almost of all the stages of Nobunaga's story mode. |

OH how could i forgot about little Ranmaru, his awesomeness is unmatched in this game (except for ina, perhaps). I felt his MS a lil slower than SW1 but his C4 is waaaay better. And come on, you cannot hate such an adorable little fella as Ranmaru, can you?

I loved Ranmaru so much in SW1-his dynamic between which Lord to serve and the undeniably homosexual undertones are like chicken soup for my soul. XD He's a beautiful character and his original voice acting is impeccable (Japanese of course). Unfortunately there is a chronic shortage of English voice actors that can walk that line of androgyny--though it was MUCH improved in SW2, over SW1. I was so upset when he got completely shirked for SW2--he was a favorite from the start. His move set isn't spectacular--but it's very user-friendly, has good range and a great crowd-clearing muso that's still effective against individual generals. He's a favorite for versatility--he'd only be better if he was faster I think. Using him makes all the challenges in Sugoroku a breeze. |

 this is a game with a basis in history, and as i'm sure you're aware Ranmaru was never a man, he was a teenager when he died at Honnoji defending his lord. he was not masculine in history, which was presumably one of the reasons he was valued by Nobunaga, hence, it would be pointless and unrealistic to portray him as something he was'nt. however, he really does deserve a story.

Ranmaru is soooooo cute!!!!
I like that cute bishonen. When the first time I saw him, I thought he was a girl. I knew the name 'Ranmaru' is for boy though, yet I was confused during that time. I listened his voice carefully... His voice is like a girl and a boy too :shock: Ohh, Ranmaru! He is so cute!

Oh his voice irks me so, but I do enjoy his moveset quite a bit, love his general range so! I often find I add him to a lot of trios in certain situations in the Orochi games. I enjoy watching his interaction with those closest to him like Nobunaga, Mitsuhide, Nouhime, and so on. |

I always love to play Dynasty Warriors since I schooled on Elementary School.. So I never played Samurai Warriors...When my friend ask me to play Warriors Orochi..I didn't want to play at the first time..I though t Samurai Warriors and Warrior Orochi is ugly...and my friend told me that he already got a female character, Ranmaru Mori at Warriors Orochi..Yes, he thinks Ranamaru is a girl..Me, too..think that Ranamaru a woman at the first time... Then I tried to play Warriors Orochi, and I started to think that Warriors Orochi is a lot fun, stupid me, I refuse to play it at the first time.. When we unlocked Mitsunari Ishida..I fell in love at the first sight...XD and then I tried to play Samurai Warriors..at least, I played it seriously..and started to think, "this game is cool"..And when I played Ranmaru, I've shocked at knowing that he was a boy..LOL All this time I think he was a girl, gosh... So, what I mean is, Ranmaru IS looked like a women...and his English VA is a women as well..Is he really looked like a women in his REAL history...??I wondered about that.. |

He's so unique as a character, shame he lost out in SW2  .The SW homosexual love triangle (and yes, it was so blatantly meant to be gay) was rather unusual between him, Nobunaga and Mitsuhide, they actually touched upon that Yaoi thing. Instead, for SW2, they just made him a straight pretty boy instead, all Nobunaga stuff was removed, much more of a loyal defender, how I prefer him in terms of portrayal .His weapon, despite being HUGE, really suits him BECAUSE he struggles with it, I can't see him with absolutely anything else really , and his moveset is very effective, good range, good power, sucky speed, but there'ss worse. Not a favorite character of mine, but certainly not one I particularly dislike, rather neutral, a middler.

My favorite male character out of them all. Was a let down he didn't have a story in SW2, but he was in the game so I was happy. I can't wait to see what hes like in SW3. I really like HIM because he is a guy with alil twist in his walk and carries a BIG sword lol. |

I wish people would just get over the female voice thing. Female voice actors, both English and Japanese speaking, have been portraying teenage and young boys for years. Ranmaru isn't exactly some surprising revolution there. Also, Tony Oliver, while a fine VA, was an absolute disaster in the role. He didn't fit at all. At least the female VA's he got afterwords suited him. I don't mind him being a (granted kinda stereotypical) pretty boy, but I wish they'd at least give him some real pants or armor. Nothing bulky, but something a bit more substantial. He always looks too under-protected to me. And if they don't give him a story mode, while they've already admitted one for Okuni, I'll be greatly disappointed. Not that Okuni in of herself wasn't important, but Ranmaru has such potential. |

In SW1 he was one of my fav characters. I loved playing Honnoji with him, slaughtering tons n tons of enemies at the south gate. I was very disappointed when he lost out on story mode in SW2. Hoping he's returned to his glory in SW3. |

In SW2XL at Okehazama, after Ieyasu defects, Nobunaga tells Ranmaru to visit Ieyasu after the battle because he wants to discuss some matters with him. What's all that about? Playing through a few stages it becomes apparent that Ranmaru sorta has a story... but we never really get to explore it indepth, Koei better give him a proper story in SW3. |
