Please don't quote and reply with such a small response. I know you may want to acknowledge his response, but please add more than three words, otherwise, it's a bit spammy... ;)

Anyway. I happen to have a problem with your argument. You initially place the blame of teenage pregnancy on alcohol. A fair point, as it strongly hinders one's judgment when one is intoxicated.
HOWEVER... based on your argument, you seem to think FEMALES are the only one's getting drunk and sleeping around? Um, if that was the case (only females) teenagers would not be getting pregnant!
Males are involved to. Don't say "girls this, girls that" because it takes two in order to make a baby. So don't be so quick to say it's ****ty females, males can be just as ****ty under or not under the influence.
I'm not trying to place all the blame on men, but they certainly have a role in the growing trend of teenage pregnancy.

As for parents... sometimes parents happen to be very protective of their children, but if their teens want to have sex, they will find a way.

Were I come from people get pregnant young as a sort of easy way out. I mean two friends of mine have not long had a little bambino that was not planned, already regret having a child this young (They are 18/19) But for them now they kinda have the easy life. The government pay for a 3 bedroom house for them, they get a allowance every week and probably wont have to work until the kid is at school, Then they will probably have another one.

To the point though, I think people who get pregnant young dont really realize what they have gotten them selfs in for. They think "Baby, gets me money, I dont have to find a job. I can party with my friends still" Then its sort of a slap in the face once it arrives.

As for Sex Education, I do think it should be teched at school to some extent. If it is taught at a young age I feel its a bad thing as kids dont have any "Sexual" feelings at that age and wouldn't understand. I hear stories that it has been taught at a young age and then children have gone home and tried it with friends thinking its alright seeing as they were taught it in school.

Look, I was just highlighting the problem by using an example that is happening in my community. I know one of the girls I mentioned earlier very well, that is why I talked about the female side of things rather than the male. The guys that are having sex are total idiots with no restraint (again using the example in my community). These guys are often the ones who smoke, drink and do drugs. They are just mindless imbeciles who don't think of the consequences of their actions.

My brother, asked me once the question of sex, and marriage. (I'm 18 years older than him. I answered him with a question of my own.

"are you ready for having a family today?"

'nuff said.

I had family life too! :o

those books were so boring >_>

ON ACTUAL TOPIC:

I think its important to learn about sex at school, i learned a whole load in just 8th grade, from a slightly psycotic teacher, she taught us about the dangers and how to prevent it (she even rolled a condom over a cucumber >_>) she taught us about same sex intercourse (which i think is important to teach because of the growing rate of gay teenagers, we should have classes to teach us about that too, its just as important, if not more important because some gay teenagers are afraid to admit it to themselves and have no way of learning about same sex intercourse) and what STDs can do to you and your baby if your pregnant....

It was quite an awkward class.

And Males are just as responisble for teen sex and pregnancy as the femlaes, sometimes its even more the males fault in the case of the date-rape-drug, or trying to get the female drunk for sex.....

Sex.
I feel awkward writing that.

And why? Becuase everyone tells us not to do it and itīs dirty. But at the same time you see 12-year old girls running around with a skirt as short as her underwear in front of a TV that plays some music clip were half naked girls showing their boobs while some guy raps crap.

Weird society, eh?

I donīt know why everyone allways trys to controll everything. Mother nature has given us two genders: Male and female.

What are animals doing? Right: They **** the crap out of each other. Sorry for the language, but well, thatīs what they do. They eat, sleep and try to have little baby animals so their species doesnīt die out and because itīs programmed into their genes.

So...why is it a bad thing that humans do it? Because we are better than animals? Because weīve so many sick sexual thoughts in our head that we have to be ashamed if we talk about sex?

I mean, just because my little sister asked me about this matter, I didnīt tell that stupid bees and flowers story...why should I?

I guess some parents and people just associate sick sex fantasys with it(stalking - we know what some of them do :OMG: - raping, animal sex and whatever some person did to please his simple needs)

They should just tell them about what can happen if you have sex, how to protect themselves, etc.

Itīs like society forces the young ones into being sexual malformed beasts or teenage mothers.

I mean, itīs fine to protect your children and in some way, you have to plan and controll a bit.

But we all know what happens if you FORCE controll on someone.
If the gonverment forces a law, thatīs against what the people want, there are revolts. There are wars. There are rebellions.

So what are children doing who are forced to not have sex, to have to be the nice little child who would even please god?

Yes. Exactly. Rebellion. War. They will only hurt themselves.

I have told my little sister everything I know about sex, drugs and alcohol. And well? Nothing. She accepted it as it is. I didnīt lie to her. If I wouldīve lied to her and she found out the truth somewhere else, she would think I donīt trust her. Cause letīs be honest: One day theyīll find out.

I was sad that Santa didnīt exist. I hated my parents for lying to me, since I heard from a friend at school about it and I defended him. And well I was laughed at becuase of that, naturally. Children are cruel.
Well, I was small and didnīt know it. And I was hurt. But hey thatīs just a lie of good old Santa.

But stuff like drugs, sex and alcohol?
Lies about things were you can get sick, addicted, pregnant or even die? Forcing them to throw away their own opinions and thoughts?
Thatīs dangerous. Itīs like the famous big red button with the "Do not press" sign hanging over it. Youīll still do it. Even though you donīt know whatīll happen. How should you? The only thing you know about it is that you shouldnīt do it. That you shouldnīt press the red button.

But as Iīve said many times humanity will never change. They will try to force each other, to controll each other, to defeat each other.
Only their view and opinion is god and everything else is the teaching of the devil.
So the little grown up teacher in the class room will still tell stories about how their little hands are burning in hell for having sex while four hours later sheīs ****** by three guys at the same time wearing no condoms, or the parents telling the cute flower/bee story to their son while one hour before having had wild bondage sex with whips, cream and a cute little stinging tool to do what normally the bee would do to the flower.

Itīs just a wonderful world, ainīt it?

I live in a really good area, and the schools are 'top notch' so to speak. Compared to a lot of people, we could be considered 'privileged' (that sounds ridiculous to me, but then again I have to consider some of the other places, like the inner cities and even third world countries and whatnot.) Our Sex Education Class was excellent. We had one in sixth grade about basic mechanics, and one in Eighth about relationships and sex, teaching about unhealthy relationships and same sex relationships. They didn't really say same sex relationships were good or bad, they just gave the facts. It wasn't even awkward, either, it was fun and sometimes people could giggle, but that can't be helped and overall we took it in good stride. Sometimes my friends and I would look forward to that class O.o

There's another mandatory Sex Ed class we have to take by the end of High School, too, so overall that's three.

I had a long and disturbing discussion about this a while back in another forum. The Age of Consent differs from every culture in the world. In some nations you can have sex at 11. Others you become old enough for it when you're 12, but you must consume an elder's semen to do this. Others you are told you have to wait until you're an adult, but no one pays attention to this. I'm not advocating pedophilia, it's just something to think about.

By age 18 apparently 60% of the people at that age are "mature" enough for sex. Just like 10% of 12 year olds are and only 80% of 25 year olds. The psychologist standpoint makes little to no sense.

We believe in our own "age of consent" based solely on our culture and ideals. The idea that there is a "unified" age of consent is ridiculous. Most older cultures agree that you are old enough for sex when you are physically able to have sex. 12-ish. 13 or 14 in some cultures, and some states [including the stray US states]. 16 seems to be the most popular with 18 far behind in just a spare few US stats as well as one country with 21... don't ask me why.

For sex education, I find the entire thing surrounded by hypocrisy. I was taught about sex in the sixth grade. Since then I have felt no desire for or against sex since then. Most of it's curiosity that leads to sex. Arousal etc. The concept of virginity doesn't really mean anything. It's insignificant outside of the religious stage. While knowledge of STDs should be given to kids who are just starting out their "sexual" lives, I don't believe it should be used as a deterrent against sex. Complex sex education is probably okay at teaching them the dangers, but they go about it the wrong way. And as I said, there is a lot of hypocrisy.
