Maybe his eccentric attitudes are not similar to the real Zhang He, but he's always fun. A friend of mine basically doesn't like characters like him and rather would cut off his hands before playing with such a guy. But even he gets amused by him, when we play together and he says he can't imagine to team up with anyone else. (so we always use the couple Xiahou Dun & Zhang He for our team missions) Guess, that's a nice compliment. Okay... but as much as I like him... I think the DW5 ending was a little bit exaggerated ... -.-

I think the DW5 ending was a little bit exaggerated ... -.- have you even SEEN the DW6:S/PS2 cuts for Zhang He? they make that ending look like John Wayne....all that jumping and spinning in high heels....the butterflies and sparkles exploding everywhere....the RED CARPET...yeah you heard me right. but i LOVE him too.

And as predicted he outshines Zhen Ji by a mile in SF and he is not even a women and he looks like one. Wei sure do have the most funniest characters I wouldn't care if he looked like Zhou Yu but butterfly wings WTH He has got to leave Wei and join Wu, where he will fit in much better . OOOHHHH! and once again. who cares if he's gay or a vegetable, if he's a interesting, fun, individualistic character who holds his own in a battle. i know you guys are young and have a negative learned reaction to gay folks, but there are some thirty-odd masculine-ish straight men in DW. What is the harm in having a representative of those of us who do not choose to conform to what others want us to be. whether that be gay, or flamboyant, or dress crazy... if half of the characters were super effeminate and prancy, then i'd say the balance had shifted, and something needed to be done. but it's just one guy, doing his own thing AND being a bada** while doing it. man...i am now officially sure that this Zhang He=gay=bad, hence gay=bad, will never end.

General Posts: 351 Group: Members Member #20,552 Joined: January 25, 2009 Gender Male	As long as you keep up the fight, your bound get some victories. In all honesty, I like Zhang He as a character. He is theatrical, flamboyant, eccentric, and really just out to do his own thing on his own time (or arguably on Cao Cao's time). He's an attractive break from the other characters, 80% of whom are very bland characters, for justice, honor, greatest warrior in the land, no one can beat me blah blah. While they are interesting characters and some are actually cool, they show very little dynamic qualities... Only a few, Zhang He being one of them (others being Ling Tong and Diao Chan, for what it's worth) but Zhang He mostly, while not as dynamic is a breath of fresh air in terms of what a majority of the other characters are looking for, all he wants is beauty. Now the only reason I don't like him are his weapons. He's way too fast and indirect for my tastes, he isn't very controlled he's all over the place. To some it's a good thing, some it's bad...for me bad. But all in all, he isn't a bad character. And as I said before, far different than the goals and personalities of the other 40+ characters in the game (unfortunately including the women who are all bland and go nowhere...). Those are my opinions. =]

It's actually really funny watching how the more serious characters react to his personality. Zhang He is so oblivious to the fact that he is the weirdest warrior in the three kingdoms.

People are so judgemental these days it's not even funny. So what if he is "different" from other characters? That is what makes him stand out from the rest of the same, boring bland characters like Zhao Yun and Diao Chan. Zhang He ftw!

I have got something to say about Zhang He that I learned yesterday that you have all got to hear. ------- Yesterday, I was working on a character that I am making for a story and while I was looking at the chinese surnames on wikipedia to name some of his family members (his mother preferably), I looked at the surname Zhang. I also looked at how it were pronunced in Japan. Zhang is pronunced Cho and his name in Japanese is pronunced Choku. Now there is a female name Cho that means "Butterfly" and another Chouku that is close to sounding like Zhang He's name in Japanese means "Child of the Butterfly". I have looked and wonder for a long time where Koei got the idea of making him an effeminate Warrior and I found out long after I quit my gamer days. This makes perfect sense. It's his name, with them sounding so smiliar, Koei made Zhang He into an outrageous effeminate warrior with a butterfly for his mascot. He wasn't with a butterfly until Dynasty Warriors 4. In 3 he was like Vega. Now he's so diffirent than he started out. Doesn't this fit?
