Well, it was, but... >3> Everyone in his family has facial hair (even SSX. /shot) so... hehe, now he's different from his family. :D Besides, now he looks younger than Sun Ce, which is how it should be. :3 (Not conting after Ce's death, then DW5 would fit a bit more.) |

Haha, well I can't argue that statement either. I tend to favor his DW6 look a bit more myself even though I still love the beard and hugh hefner robe. I just hate the fact KOEI made him much more handsome then he was before, that I can't resist him.  Looks aside though, I am really really hoping they do give him his own storyline in the future again if they do plan to come out with DW7. They really need to kick it up a notch so he can stand out more like his father and even his own sister who got her own musou mode, boo.  Only a matter of time until it happens...

Jiahe, I am surprised that you didn't jump for joy at Sun Quan's new hotness. I, personally am ecstatic that Koei made the change. Ya know why? 'Cause that's one more bishounen/hot guy to admire; it's not we could have to many of them! BUT, then again, that might just be me... Or IS it...?

We can have too many if they come at the expense of manly gruff 'n scruff. Variety is good, and what about some fan appeal for those of us who prefer rugged to pretty? Dignified Lincoln Beard Quan was one of the most attractive men to me. I am meh on his clean-shaven, blow-dried look, partially because it came with a de-emphasis on Quan's leadership role as emperor of Wu. Though Quan is younger than Ce, that's a simple fact of birth order. It doesn't define his significance. Quan's new style comes off as more Ce's Li'l Bro than Future Leader. It doesn't show much of that underlying seriousness. Even if he only got the beard and traditional hairstyle back, that would be a major improvement - both in terms of characterization and my personal opinion of HAWTness.

I understand completely, Rydain - I appreciate the gruff hotness (glances adoringly over at Xiahou Doom)... But I should have explained myself better. What I meant was that I personally can't have too many smooth-shaven hot guys in this series, because other non-hot characters (IMO) are generally bearded. Sun Quan was the one exception; I'm just glad that I can see his face completely, that's all!

Apparently you mistook my word of "hate" on what I said.  I hate it so much to what they done to him because I LOVE it TOO MUCH. Sun Quan is the only thing on my mind almost 24/7 through the day for me.Rydian, I love your way of thinking on what you said. The beard gave him the great Emperor look even though it made him look older then his brother Ce. Age is only a number and it shouldn't effect the way he is seen as an Emperor despite the fact he younger then Ce. Either way, I love him even though he doesn't have that Emperor look as much to him now without the beard and robe, he still manages to keep that amazing voice with him along the way. Absolutely and still to this day his voice just fits him perfectly. <3 I probably would go nuts (in a bad way) if they ever did change his voice because I already almost dreaded when DW6 come out and they did a massive voice change to majority of the characters due to their change in appearances. Since Quan looked younger without the beard, I thought they were going to give him different voice like Liu Bei did but thankfully Quan had the same voice. I am just hoping with DW7 if they do get that far, Skip Stellrecht continues to voice him. Also I hope they still plan to do more with his role in the game again since KOEI cheated him out of DW6 and the Special with no musou mode. |

Agreed. I mean, how in the crap did his SISTER get a Story, but he didn't (nor did Ce, now that I think about it)?! He was gypped, and quite frankly, so were we. Koei, do right by him next time, please!

I think SSX only got one because none of the females really had one (besides Diao Chan and later Yue Ying) so they just decided to join her in the fray. I dunno, but I think they should of had one as well. /: (And Yuan Shao and Zhang Jiao shoulda had one, too. >_>) |

I think it's fair to say that all the character should've their own musou mode. If it was fair for Dian Wei to have one then Sun Quan should had one as well. Cao Pi got his story in the Special so he was lucky. Does anyone like Quan's moveset he has at the moment? or do you guys prefer his old moveset from 5? OR do you guys prefer if he got a brand new set to work with? Personally, I prefer his DW5 moveset more since his true musou attack gave him one of the best advantages in the game with crowd clearing along with his C4 and C6 while his C5 attack manage to be useful in certain situations with enemies blocking attacks all the time. As to his moveset in DW6 goes, he just knows how to work his moves which is why I like it...  but his tri charge attack lack when in huge crowds and the only thing that makes up for is his charge attack at full renbu which I abuse alot. His jump charge attack is decent but could do better.Overall, when it comes to Quan I tend to favor his moveset in 5 more where as I favor his look more in 6 now so it balances out nicely for me I guess. What about you guys? |

I would prefer if he kept the Master Wolf sword with his old moveset and just hook it onto his DW6 look. To me that would be perfect. His hair down? Sure... fine with me. If they did however, added old DW costumes with the DW6 costumes kinda like WOZ did, that would be an neat but it was kinda weird at the same time especially for Quan having the beard still intact with his DW6 look.

Sun Quan did look better in DW6 XD lol His facial hair wasn't very flattering to me. Well actually it was okay, but I always got distracted by it for some reason xD Like...it connected to his side burns and it looked really funny, but not in a bad way ^-^ |
