No, not at all, GYA. I'm simply saying that I may or may not be with you, but my advice is good nonetheless. I enjoy your company and you're all good roleplayers. I see no reason to leave. Of course, boredom will strike me eventually, so I will leave at some point just to experience new things. But don't worry, I'm not leaving just yet. |

GS being praised as an ethreal being of strategy and plans is laughable beyond words. Read his supposed divine moves in the archive section. Nothing is amazing, and he reminds me of Jbrace when he acts so co'cky about them. Edit: We need to leave the Takeda and Oda alone for a while. Hojo and Uesugi should be next after the Imagawa. |

Good idea, the Takeda are dead anyways. Well, the Hojo are the only ones we are going to be next to after Imagawa. Anyone there present a threat? |

Only goose/Asch/Ujimasa since he's cunning/wierd in anything he does, but most likely nothing special. |

Alright, so, like, this plan actually uses a cannon. After watching him fight in that one battle he's in, I noticed his "defense" was basically spreading his troops out in a very loose formation. Yeah, it's good against cannon fire, but a loose formation against virtually anything else is pretty much destroyed. Basically, once his army is loosened up, it's easily dismantled by any sort of melee fighting. Here comes the second part. To avoid casualties, he also tried to keep out of range. So, he's got a loose formation moving away from cannon fire. So, now that he has this loose formation, it's all just a matter of getting him somewhere where we can destroy him. This could be a subtle advance with cavalry troops (ready to charge) or pushing him into an ambush (by directing him with cannon fire). It seems relatively simple, but I've seen this tactic used many times and could ultimately destroy anyone, but since GS is "da strategy godd!!!!!!" while remaining so predictable, I think it's excellent. Here's some strategy tips which I've learned over the years: 1. Never traverse a bridge, a pass, a narrow rode, a marshland, etc without first becoming absolutely sure that it's not rigged. If you would ever consider placing an ambush somewhere, you'd better believe that your enemy would, too. So, avoid them if possible, or if you can't, treat it like the mine-sweeper game and make sure you can make it through. 2. Know your enemy (haha, Sunzi ftw!). Sounds cliche (obviously), but it's totally true. Like in our Totomi battle, our plans are based on JBrace's actions. If you know your enemy, it's easy to make plans for them. Lots of n00bs (including myself back in the day) rely on "chance". Ie: hopefully they fall for the trick or hopefully our ambush works or whatever. It should never be a hopeful scenario, especially if the battle is riding on it. It should be "if they go here, this WILL work, but we have to make them go there" and that's a whole 'nother issue (which still relies on good tactics and not chance). 3. Make your strategies flexible. Never rely on a single strategy for winning a battle. First and foremost, you should learn as much as you can about your enemy, about their troops, about the terrain, about your own army, and troop placement. Then, take this information and use it to rig the entire battlefield. Every strategy doesn't have to be perfect, but you should have some sort of plan for everything. Then, as the battle progresses, you should be constantly revising your plans to fit the situation. Don't throw in the towel because your "uber strategy" failed or wasn't triggered. Instead, work on more. Keep your enemy under your control. Again, with Totomi, JBrace thinks he knows what he's doing, but we know that he's under our control. No matter what he does, we have power over what happens. That's what you should do at all times. 4. Brute force=never works. HT talks about his Legendary ability, but don't ever rely on that. Ever. Brute force can be defeated with wit and strategy any day. It's never a bad thing to take advantage of your numbers in a battle, but underestimating your opponent and thinking that you can just plow over them is a BAD idea. 5. Check. Keep your enemy in check. This reverts back to a previous tip, but I must stress it. If you want a good strategy to work, the surest way is to make the enemy trigger it (remember, chance won't work). There are two ways to do this (and they should be used together). The first is to make them do something. With my plan against GS, our cannons are making him do something. If you can get him to do what you want, you're halfway there. The next is to get them to do it how you want. If you want your enemy to run into your trap and you can get them to run, but they have two directions to go, you have to make them go the direction you want by putting them in check. Always make sure there's something, even if it's a tiny army or a hint of an ambush, or whatever. Enough to make them think "I know this way is at least slightly safer", so it's not just a 50/50 shot. The first step is getting them to move, the next is guiding them. It's not too hard to figure these things out. Just over-analyze stuff. And I mean it. Don't study the battlefield until you know where everything is and good places for tactics, study the battlefield until you're convinced you could draw it. And if you can't draw it, you should know it well enough to make plans to change it so you can. |

I've never relied/will rely on that. I only keep mentioning it so much because Jbrace is underestimating it. |

Nah, I didn't mean it in that way. That was just an example of a "brute force" tactic which shouldn't be relied on. Hell yeah, it's useful, but don't assume "i r legendary so i kill all ur guyz!!!!!!!!11" (which I know that you wouldn't do). |

Why'd you post it in this thread? I didn't even know this thread existed  I'm sure Guan Yu won't mind losing Tadakatsu and not getting him back, since he has been too busy anyway. Only if he asks for him back will you need to worry about giving him up. I'm not sure if GYA will be allowed to keep control of Honda in Suruga though
