I often puts Mitsunari, Kanetsugu, and Sakon. Mitsunari uses his special + direction button. When his musou runs out, switch to Kanetsugu and use NNNCC. Use his special when needed. Then when his musou runs out again, switch to Sakon and use NNNCC, and special when needed. Of course, Ling Tong with his ground shock attack, Zhao Yun's normal string, Zuo Ci's combo, and Gan Ning's combo is good for clearing crowds. BTW, I also often shamelessly spam Orochi's CC attack. He's great for getting 4th weapon

MITSUNARI of course. In the first installment his R1 was spam. Because of his R1 he is one of the greatest crowd clearer. But in the second installment he lost his R1. |

Mitsunari whith his overpowered special shockwave attack. Or mitsuhide with his C7 or C8 i dont remember which but theres a very good crowd clearing charge attack in his moveset |

Nobunaga's great at crowd clearing provided he doesn't get interrupted doing his C3 move. Sun Ce's pretty good too with his R1 and C4. |

Zhao Yun! His C3 + Charge Attack is my ultimate waza, which helps me complete any level at any difficulty (of course if he has 99 lvl and fully upgraded Dragon Spear) |

I'll just re-emphasize how broken as hell Mitsunari is in the first WO game. Best. Crowdclearer. Period. His R1 alone qualifies him for this. Run out of musou? No problem. His C4 hits twice with the stacked & broken elements system and, if you have Absorb, refills enough musou to activate his R1 again. Its almost as self-sustaining as the next contender from WO2 ... Cao Ren  C3ex. That is all. This is where Mitsunari's R1 went in WO2. Widespread, kills everything in the game in 1-shot with the right weapon setup. Again, with Absorb equipped, can be self-sustaining along with his C2ex. If Rydain hasn't convinced you of Ren's brokeness, then no one can

for me, i've played all charecters and i have to go with the following two ladies because not only do they get the 4th weapons for me all the time, they really can kill with lightning speed.. both can clear a crowd easily. they are very easy to handle, control wise and one of them is very hot in their 4th costume.... the ladies i speak of are DA JI Himiko |

I was actually going to make a big post saying that on playing it again a wee while back i had forgotten how broken Mitsunari, Guan Ping and Cao Ren were but i think Mr Honda summed it up any better than i could

in WO1 alot of characters are good crowd clearer, mitsunari's R1 special was the most popular, mitsuhide and oichi's last charge attack, as it covers 360 radius, guan ping and zhao yun's C4 amd yue ying's C6, masamune's C3 is also good, keiji's C4 and tadakasu's C4, orochi does not hav any moves that clear crowds, well from thats what i always get from playing as him but his jump charge is not bad, but thats in WO2, daji's normal move is enough to clear crowd and last but not least, sakon and ramaru's C4, this 2 are realy broken in WO1 in WO2 that will be like what u said, cao ren's C1-EX, many lost their crowd clearing moves, but samurai warrior types mostly keep it, mitsuhide and oichi still keep their last charge, but with the new allmighty ability, lu bu comes back to rage, orochi and shin orochi's jump charge, in fact everyone becomes monsters, the best character to use allmighty is still yoshimoto, because of his 360 turn from his normal attack string |
