This is going to be one ginormous tiers list! I'll just start very generally. Higher ranking characters: Orochi Lu Bu Honda Tadakatsu Ishida Mitsunari Sanada Yukimura Oda Nobunaga Yue Ying Guan Ping Maeda Keiji Daki Hattori Hanzo Dian Wei Xu Huang Middle ranking characters: Everyone else Lower ranking characters: Imagawa Yoshimoto Inahime Huang Zhong Huang Gai Dong Zhuo Xing Cai  Ma Chao (believe it or not) Cao Ren |

From what I heard, Diao Chan and Kunoichi are on top of the tier list at the 2ch forums. I've seen a few videos of them at Youtube, and they looks pretty cheap.

yes he...really sucks in Musou Orochi.... he's my fave in DW but i just can't use him in this game. It's horrible. Much love to Ishida Mitsunari's ranking

Why Ma Chao is low tier ranking 1. No more Shadow Harness. 2. Horrible R1 attack, similar to Yoshimoto's, very narrow, it just has a little more range. 3. C6 is nerfed damage-wise and range is shortened by 70%. Why Inahime is low tier ranking: 1. Both R1 attacks are horrible in damage. You can do more dame with a single S attack than all those arrows. It is only good for keeping your enemies at a distance. 2. Obviously, she lost all her R1 + S and R1 + T attack from SW2. 3. Unlike Nobunaga, she does not get any of her old extend combo chains back. 4. Musou damage is nonexistent. If she were a technique type, then her Musou bar would have gone to good use in R1 special rather than it being wasted on her Musou. |

I believe it's to early to judge the exact tier in this game. Considering of what the tier actually based on. Is it based on how effective the moveset as crowd & officer killer? Is it based on how effective the character using full potential 4th weapon? Is it based on the combination of skills & element to buff the character? I mean, seriously, any character equipped with Light orb, full 4th weapon & God Speed skill are so Godly. Imagine Ling Tong's C4, Zhang Liao's C1, Diao Chan's C1, Kunoichi C4, etc... |

hmm i thought they sort of dumbed down Kunoichi. She wasn't as effective as she was in SW1. I found that it was terribly hard to actually start a combo with her. |

for for my playing style, she was unusable. Well I do use her, but whenever I do, stupid things happen because she'll randomly do her charge attack, etc. I find that when i start a combo, each move needs to land on an enemy or else the combo will be disrrupted. on a random note, i think they also dumbed down Guan Ping. It's either that, or I dno't remember how to use him >_<'' he used to be so good, and now it's just "uh what happened". It got me thinking, why did i even use him? |

Even though some would not agree with me... I THINK that it still depends in the "SKILL" of the player. Example1 For me Yoshimoto Imagawa is the strongest character. Example2 Ma Chao is also great without his horse |

That's really hard to realize that Ma Chao, from S Ranking in DW5, is now low tier! But I think the Tier List from Tae is fair, because my opinion and his were pretty much the same on the SW2 tier list. |

Yue Ying has 5 elemental hits in her C6 attack. Since she is a technique type, that also allows her to make that attack even stronger by using the R1 button. When maxed out, you can kill any general in any difficulty with that move alone. Plus, it doesn't take much bar to use her R1 specials. |

I agree with you. I don't like tier lists simply because someone might have an easier time with Xu Zhu than they have with Yue Ying. I think the only opinion of a character that should matter to a player is your own, because my tier list would look quite different from the person next to me. |

Not always. Take a look of DW5 character tier list in GameFAQs. While it has opinions, it also lists many facts which can't be denied. |

I would have to agree with LoW. That tier list is very good and comprehensive. I'm sure if any group of people has time to test all 70+ characters on Orochi each of them will come up with a good list as well. |
