SW1

For the simple fact that Sanada's ending is the best in either game. I can remember not getting it for a while and when I finally did it was well worth it.

IMO, SW1 Osaka is better for those who like playing Yukimura or on the Toyotomi side, while SW2 Osaka is better for those who like playing the Tokugawa side. I prefer SW2's myself.
Playing: Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires, Nobunaga's Ambition: Iron Triangle, Bladestorm, Gundam: G Generation Wars, iDOLM@STER: Wondering Star, Super Robot Wars A: Portable, Touhou 12.3: Hisoutensoku

SW1. It was tough, it was all gloomy, and so on. I just thought it was way better. I really felt like all hope was lost in the battle, especially when everything went wrong and we were overrun. It was probably my favorite battle.
Miyamoto Musashi
Perk: Niten-Ichi (Musashi's attack is up permanently in any duels.)
Calm before the storm: Musashi may counter the next move his opponent makes and deals 2x the damage. 1/2 chance of working.
Wise one: Tactics used by Musashi have a much higher chance of succeeding.
Ganryu Slayer: When fighting other Wandering Ronin, Musashi may use this to increase his attack exponentially.

Yeah, Osaka Summer Campaign in SW1 was more emotional to me. At the start it showed how he had lost hoped, but as the course went on that hope relit and kept becoming more of a powerful level in the sense of a dramatic atmosphere. It's most probably my favorite ending ever!

Normally i would say the SW2 map because I cant find my way around SW1 maps very well XD

But the SW1 had much more depth, and was enjoyable.

I like the SW1 version better, but the battle can go for freakishly long times. The XL version fixed all the major problems with the level, though (especially the stupid death trap Yukimura gets stuck in with the captain-less gate which suffers from the exact same problem as the Honnoji escape with Nobunaga)

To bring an end to the Sengoku era, the Tokugawa must crush the last few Toyotomi loyalists and kill Hideyoshi's heir.

This is easily one of my favorite stages in both games. I'm a pretty big fan of castle sieges. IMO, SW1 does the defense side better and SW2 does the offense better. Yukimura's lone charge into the Tokugawa main camp is simply unforgettable, and all of the different wards you go through on the Tokugawa side make this a truly remarkable stage. Hopefully they'll have all of the best elements in SW3.

I found that Yukimura's personality changed. In SW1 it was about dying hope while in SW2 he had much more spirit and determination.

The music is most likely my favorite music in the SW series. Very high up the ranks at least.

sw1 osaka was much better much harder more fun i loved the stage one of my favs of the original sw game i want it to be more like that in sw3

the whole mission was for Yukimura i loved running around trying to get help then wasting ya time with that and charging the main camp then doing it right so u get his cool ending intro where there is no health as its all gone that was hard

SW1. Without any doubt. The stage is large, missions are hard. The stage itself is hard. It also becomes the stage of hell, if you are trying to complete it on hard difficulty

SW1's Siege of Osaka is my favorite SW stage of all time. Seriously, that battle was simply perfect. The desperation was prevalent throughout the entire battle. I just loved the despair within the Toyotomi ranks, and the struggle for every inch of ground.

This, pretty much.

SW1's version is awesome as Yukimura specifically (not so good as Kunoichi) and SW2's is great as the Tokugawa... Overall though I probably prefer the SW2 version, simply because there is no annoying castle stage at the end for the attacker's like in SW1...
