He's ok. Koei does a good job of glorifying Musashi's legend with their incarnation of him. His moveset is utterly broken, easily making him the best character in the game in my opinion. I think his personality in SW is appropriate though. He's portrayed to be at least 18 years old in the game (everyone calls him "kid" without meeting with much disapproval from Musashi). At that age, you can expect a teenager with his aptitude for swordplay to be arrogant and brash. He'd most likely learn to be humble and patient when he gets older. Though I prefer other portrayals of Musashi over this one, like Ryuu Ga Gotoku's Musashi. Though out of all portrayals, I found the Musashi of the Vagabond manga to be closest to the real thing. Anddd...I would've liked to have seen him with smaller swords. The ones he uses in the game are HUGE. He should be using a regular daisho instead. |

One thing that I think they should have done was made him ugly and dressed more like a traveller. Historically he had very bad skin damage and wouldn't have been able to bath often as he was a travelling swordsman so he should be represented in such a way. |

I think they've done that already. His clothes are already gaudy and tacky, nothing compared to the neat hakama and kimono samurai usually wear. So as far as clothes go, I believe Koei did well in portraying him as a vagrant samurai. About the skin damage, I recall that it was a disease that periodically started rashes all over his body. But it's hard to imagine that Koei would pay attention to this little detail. All in all, I think Koei's Musashi looks dirty and ragged enough already. His clothes would've been considered deplorable by any samurai in his time. |

Awesome character! I didn't like his appearance before I used him, but he turned out to be 1 of the best! His C3 and C4 are like the best in the game! u keep spamming them and no one can stand in his way! I killed Orochi in Chaos mode in 2 hits using his c3. his lv4 weapon, Rage and Desire looks pretty weird though.... his defense is pretty low and he gets killed really easily in chaos mode. His high offense and quick atk spd helps a lot to kill the enemy officer before they kill u. |

i voted for good moveset bad personality i just hate him i agree with foomin he's boring as hell i just wanna kill him every chance i get even more then Mitsuhide who i dispise as people have said here he was a traveling swordsman so his atire was ok he was arrogant but in the game he could back it up his musuo story was crap i think don't get me wrong he kicks ass and i don't mind being him but he's nothing special to me just someone to kick the crap out of |

Only 1 can be the greatest. it's Musashi. I like his moveset. Powerful and fast. About his personality, I like his arrogance(confident). His babbling isn't just for a show. He's the legendary swordsman. I feel confidence and invincible when playing using Musashi. |

Personally for looking really un-neat and rough I thought Genki did a good job in Sword of the Samurai. (Dunno if you guys have played it or not.) he wears rather tatty looking clothes, especially on the final beach scene where you get to fight him. But his face looks so trampish it's great, he's got a really rough looking stubble/beard and he looks like he hasn't combed his hair in days. You also get to talk to him a couple of times and he does come across as a rather intriguing character. He is determined, arrogant and humble all at the same time... (I know that sounds weird but it's kinda hard to explain.) He shows a certain amount of respect for everyone but he can be quite big headed sometimes, however he also is very down to earth. There's a bit in the game where he talks about his duel with Kojiro, he says something like "All I did was have an outburst of brutish violence and I really respected Kojiro, he didn't deserve to lose his instructorship and get demoted." Ect. But you can just tell by everything that ALL he cares about is the sword and mastering it. Personally I quite liked it. |

Rage & Desire is his level two weapon. I think you meant Mastery & Vision. I liked his katana for his fifth weapon, Courage & Conviction, but the bokken looked kind of ridiculous. I like Musashi's fighting style. The game gave him a good moveset, capable of doing lots of damage and clearing large crowds. His level three Musou attack is awesome; you don't have to even hold the Musou button. Just press it and run around using the damaging shockwave that surrounds him. |

Musashi is broken. There's his moveset, and then there's the fact that he gets about 5 rare skills just by levelling up. Fun to play, but I really dislike his personality. It's just so...boring. And it's not like KOEI haven't used the "arrogant fighter" personality type to hell... |

His moveset is the best sword moveset out there. Basically all of it is useful. Also, his personality is kinda boring, but the relationship between him and Kojiro are especially funny, so that lifts things a bit up. |

Have U known characters behind Musashi's short jacket ? Who can tell me ? Please ! +_+ What is meaning ?- I think: the first character was Tian = Sky, isn't it ? And next characters I don't know  It appears those characters had on every costume of him, or each dress is different, isn't it ?  Please tell me !

Try Tadakatsu's Dream Stage in SW2, Musashi should appear and when you meet him, during the character intro scene, he'll say that exact quote and Tadakatsu will then comment on it... |

Reading the past comments on this page, why didn't anyone point out his personal thoughts in his story? He was sure of his skills, but he doesn't know what he should be fighting for. Right now, I'm about to start the Osaka stage, and I get the feeling that Yukimura showed him a way of using his skills to save people, and not mindless killing like Kojiro. Beneath the boasts (at least at the beginning), he knew that he had not yet found his destiny, so to speak. But, opposing Tokugawa seemed to be the way to go. His moveset is very great! After all, He is the great traveler..He does popular, there's a comics and novels about him...His history is awesome... So, of course KOEI will make him look incredible.. His personality is great..He never give up, and he always challenge something new to test how far could he be strong...But, I think sometimes he looks like a selfish person because he looks like he don't want to lost...well, that's okay, actually..Because, I am selfish too..XD Good person, though.. |
