Installing Japanese Language I hope with this image... everyone should understand! 0. Start > Control Panel 1. Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options > Regional and Language Options 2. "Advance" Tab 3. Slide down and choose "Japanese" in there. 4. Click OK. 5. If it ask for Windows XP CD, you need it, put that CD into your CD drive. 6. Click Yes to restart the computer. NOTE: Make sure that you checked "Install files for East Asian Languages" in Language tab too! OMG, How to type Japanese?!? 1. Press Alt + Shift until your language is JP. 2. Press Alt + ` to switch to hiragana mode. 3. Type JP in romanized style. It will convert once you press Space. 4. Warning: One romanized JP can have tons of different letter styles. You have to press Space or press up/down to switch and choose characters you want! Delete character? Here we go! After you log in, and see the character information choose this option... [削除]= Deletion  Click OK (碓認) and reenter YOUR CHARACTER NAME (名前) & TOWN NAME (出身地) IN JAPANESE! Open Microsoft Word and use IME drawing pad if you don't know how to type Japanese characters. Then switch to JP keyboard, press F10 for romanized JP.  After that, your character is gone! |

Weapon Upgrade? You know about stones from the website right? Before you upgrade, you need to make sure that you have some of these upgrade stones in your inventory. You can check by press F12 > 1st (情報 − Information) > 1st (個人 − Individual) > 4th (消費アイテム − Usable Items) > Press Right arrow at the top. Then, you go to blacksmith NPC and choose 3rd option... You will get this...  From top to bottom, Upgrade to... Attack, Power, Defence, Life, Musou The second column is how much you need to pay for upgrade and the last column is how many upgrade can be done (ex. this weapon can upgrade attack 6 times, power 6 times, defence once, life twice, and musou 7 times). Unfortunately, the game had adjusted to upgrade only up to 5 times to one stat. Also, you can upgrade all these only up to the number at the right corner (the 5/8 as you see in picture). The counter will go down by 1 for first upgrade of stat, 2 for second, 3 for third and so on. This means that you can upgrade actually less than 8 times. This weapon is example... I used all 8 after this upgrade because I have 3 stars on ATT, 1 on LIFE, and 1 on DEF, so total is 1 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 8, thrus I can't upgrade anymore... You see Slot # at the right, right? Slot # = Amount of yellow bottle (Don't know the name ><) that need to be collect before you can activate and add stat during battle! The amount of stars are how many times you can activate to add certain stats. In this case, I can activate for ATT 3 times (Slot 5: 5x3 = 15 bottles), LIFE once (Slot 1: 1x1 = 1 bottle), and DEF once (Slot 2: 2x1 = 2 bottles). Each star added by the amount in parenthesis... Button for Keyboard? Movement (up down left right) WSAD arrow keys 8246 (num pad) Attack J (normal) K (charge attack) L (musou attack/charge) Others M (minimap change) I (strengthening, kill soldiers for the things and spend those points to help you, i aint gonna post a list of the things you can use them on) N and . (jump) , (recall the secondary military officer) 1-8 (the voice things like base needs protection and so on) U and O (block) Mouse Movement? Selling/Obtaining Items Talk to the trader (行商) and then choose 2nd option. You will get sub-menu like this:  In sub-menu, you can choose: *Weapon (武器) *Equipments (服飾) *Consumable Items (消費アイテム) After that it will lead to this screen:  The price tag on last column will show how much you will get if you sell the item. You can get more items by defeat officers (genetic officer, not player's/CPU officers) for a change to get clothes and defeat 2 officers in flagged base (Supply Base) to get a random weapon. If in real 4 VS 4 battles, you can get up to 4 Weapon Boxes, depending on if the party know how to obtain the other 2 boxes (beside enemy's Supply Base and from the Unique General) by let NPCs allies' Supply Base and defeat your Unique General. You can sell to Pawn Shop, but you have to wait for someone else buy your stuffs. Also, you can sell only 1 weapon, 1 equip, and 1 consumable item at a time. That's only way to gain some money. Do some quests will also gain some money too, but you need Gungekis (aka. you need to pay) to do quests. |

Buying Gungekis/Battle Passes With A Credit Card Do the following: *F12 > 4th Option (無双軍檄) > はい (Yes) *It will being the screen up and click the HUGE yellow-brown button that has the girl holding spear on it. *Use your DWBB account to put ID and Password. *Choose how many Gungekis you need from 3 sets. (These are: 15, 50, and 115) *Click MOST RIGHT button until you hit Step 6. *Hit BIG GREEN button on Step 6. *After that, click 2nd button that it say (クレジットカード) and click first LONG button there. *Put your CC number and your expiration date. No dash, whatsoever when you type in. *Click the center button. Check Your E-Mail: If you do all correctly and check your e-mail, in first mail it will have title like this: オンラインショッピング:ご注文内容のご確認 (Confirmation of Order Content). Then, after a few minute, if transection is successful, the 2nd mail should be like this: オンラインショッピング:入金確認のご連絡 (Report of Payment Confirmation). To Confirm: Click F12 > 4th Option (無双軍檄) again to check the number of Gungekis. It should not say 0 if transection is successful. Then click いいえ (No) to close it. |

Setting Up Gamepad Controller If you have a PS2 controller like mine and want to use it. You need to change 3 buttons so it matches the Dynasty Warriors PS2 controller settings. R1 is to use the power ups on the battlefield and L1 is to block. You need to edit these settings in the DWBB folder on your harddrive and click on SMBBEnv.exe and then click the last tab.  My config settings for Dynasty Warriors BB/PS2 settings:

How long you can play DWBB for free? (And Rank List) You can play until you achieved this rank 衛士(mamoru shi), which will be received after you reached 200 War EXP (義 - Gi). Each rank seems to be 50 XP per rank. During free mode. You can play ONLY for the Miltary Training. You can do ONLY THE FIRST QUEST. The rest, such as other quests and clash battles (regular battles that can play 4 VS 4, instead of 2 VS 2 in Training Mode), you MUST HAVE the Gungekis in order to play those modes! This is a LATEST LIST (an as complete as possible list...)! Thanks to a JP buddy who help me completed this list.
Get 200 EXP will take about 30 ~ 100 battles depend on how many times you achieved Victory and Defeat. You will most likely play with CPU whlie in the Military Training Mode. |

Taking Bases/Outposts When In Battle 1)Kill troops. To take these outposts, just kick the snot out of troops in the base and it'll slowly fill up. Takes the most time to take but it's the easiest to protect. 2)Smash the towers. These outposts have four archer towers within its walls. Smash all four to gain control of the outpost.Takes medium time to take and medium to protect. 3)Kill the lieutenants. Similar to the towers thing except there will be four lieutenants (they'll have a name above their heads and all four share the same name). Kill them all to take the outpost. Takes least amount of time to take and hardest to protect. 4)Kill the officer. Now this one's tricky. Instead of there being one lieutenant, there's an officer. Press M to change mini-map size, he's the only officer in the base (big red/yellow dot). You have to kill him to take the outpost. Be careful though, his attacks hurt like hell. Takes second least amount of time to take and varies between medium to hard to protect. Battle Phrases/Emotes using the Number Keys Battle Phrases 1 - I'll attack here. 2 - Attack here! 3 - I'll defend here. 4 - Defend here! 5 - Requesting reinforcements 6 - No one's here.... (probably a stronger version of requesting reinforcements) 7 - Beautiful (or some variation. Basically praising someone's ability) 8 - Greetings (Usually よろしく or よろしくお願いいたす） Quick emotes while running around in town: (same thing, press 1~8 ) 1 - Wave (Hello!) 2 - Clap 3 - A quick bow or nod (yes) 4 - Alright! 5 - A deep bow, used as a formal greeting (usually for first time meetings) 6 - Think (hard) 7 - A quick headshake (no) 8 - What!? Other Emotes You can type like this /xxx: laugh, joy, angry, depress, nod, deny, shrug, surprised, shy, think, wave, guts, point, clap, thank, salute, toast, dance, cheer, booing, tsukkomi , cry, bow. Power Boosts The different buffs are so (based on color): Blue - moving speed boost Green - defense boost Red - attack boost Yellow - attack range boost Purple - Xs of full musou (the uber attack you can do when the red bar under your health is full) |

In Regular Battles (Both Military Training Mode (2 VS 2) and Regular Clash Mode (4 VS 4)) Victory Condition:
   Possible Conditions in Unknown (?) Map:
The same rules in regular Clash Battle applied here as well... However, there are more possible conditions as well. Possible Conditions in Real Fight Event:
One warning: When you enter to real fight. The server will put you into a random match of 4 VS 4. When either side arrived first, the waiting time will start at 30 minutes. Then, when at least one player from another side comes, the countdown clock will turned down to 3 minutes. When all 8 players are filled, the countdown clock will turned down to 30 seconds! Currently, Real Fight Event will happen twice a month. Match decides on 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Then players will fight probably over the weekends. The Real Fight Event will last up to 2 hours. However, it can ends early if one force can defeat another force early. Type of Bases:
Take supply base to get a weapon box after the battle (So EVERYONE in your team will get A WEAPON)! NOTE: Only if you achieve Victory... Otherwises, you lose everything you got during battle! (Sometimes, you may get everything even if you lose, but most of the time, no.) The bar in the top is NOT Morale like in regular Dynasty Warriors series. Instead, it shows which side killed more troops. This will determine which side will gain victory after the time ran out! There is middle line, blue bar will go from left to right and red bar will go from right to left. Even if either side filled the whole bar, other side may able to rebounce the bar back if they kill fast enough! You may get random cloth's boxes from Genetic Officers. They usually locate in front of the enemy's base. |

Regard about Lv. 3 Weapons (2nd Weapon like in DWs): You CANNOT equip Lv. 3 weapon (2nd weapon-like look in regular DW) until you GET THIS RANK... 校尉 (500 War XP with completed the quest). This means, even I am at 衛士, I will not able to equip until I done the promotion quest for 校尉! You can equip, however, Lv. 2 weapon (Stronger version of first weapon) instead. You will know that it is Lv. 2 by the name that having 改(Kai) at the end of the weapon name. |

Weapons & Slots Relationships [Latest Update: June 14th, 2007 - Gan Ning's Weapon Added] Collect the Yellow Bottle in the battle will gain you 1 slot. After you get 7 slots and you collect more bottles without activate the slots, it will stay 7 slots. So, use the slots often and wisely! Slot # 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 = 2 Situations 1. If You Upgraded Weapon To X Slot: Boost Up Attributes in current battle until achieve victory, time run out, or you die. Unique to each weapon, which is listed below (Max = Depends on how many time you upgraded). 2. If You Did NOT Upgrade Weapon To X Slot: It will act like temporary boost up items like in regular DW. These booster can be Attack x2, Defense x2, or Speed MAX. However, how long it last is depend on which slot is activate. Each slot worth 5 seconds. (eg. If you activate Attack x2 on Slot 2, it will last 5x2 = 10 seconds) Slot # 4 = Buff up your bodyguard (Max = 3 Times) Slot # 7 1st Time: Your weapon is able to use C5 2nd Time: Your weapon is able to use C6 3rd Time: Your weapon is able to use Evolution when Musou is full (9-Hit Combo like in DW5) 4th Time and Beyond: Now this one is depends on weapon. Use this slot after 3rd time will activate its special ability. Each one has its unique ability, which is listed below.

I'll translate some quests. Quest Translations —LƠµŒ«l The wondering noble 7 Rank D đê Aquired from: Bartender shop Requirements: Defeat all 7 people within the given time The map will flashes to tell you where those 7 people at, just once, you must aim at the nearest one first, defeated him and there will be flashes again to tell you where the rest people are. Again make the nearest kill, make your way through the map and eventually all 6 will be found, after that the last one will appear near your starting position, head to him quickly and complete the quest. You should be left about 3-4 minutes before time ends. There are some wooden walls you need to destroy on the way, so maybe an item that increases your destroy power(second one on your weapon's display menu) is needed. “GŒP—û‚̀”j‰ó Destroy enemy's training facility Aquired from: your commander Rank D Requirements: Defeat all the training leaders within the given time At first there will be three parts on the map that filled with enemies. Go to the nearest one and make your power up if necessary, search around and find the training leader then defeat him(although he's got lightning on body but still will stun while you hit him). Once done, go to the next part and find the leader then defeat. After all 3 leaders defeated, the training facility director will appear, be careful as he is very strong and will only stun from your musou attacks, so make sure to plan your strategies. After that, the quest is done. |

Weapon Stats - Latest Update: June 10th, 2007 - JP Sound Corrected I can tell you that, no matter what level of weapon is. If that weapon is NEVER upgrade once, the power of that weapon will be THE SAME regardless of the weapon's level. The higher level is only affect to +Added Stat for each upgrade, like the table below. Alert!: Oh, and even higher level weapons (like Lv 3 2nd-weapon-like-look) it will STILL START WITH MAX OF C4! You have to do Slot 7 method (see above post) to rise to C6 & Evolution! Attribute Translation (This is in order from top to bottom)... 攻撃力 - Kougeki ryoku - Attack Power 破壊力 - Hakai ryoku - Destructive Power 防御力 - Bougyo ryoku - Defensive Power 体力 - Tai ryoku - Life 無双 - Musou - Matchless (Musou) 移動力 - Idou ryoku - Speed Power ヅャンプ力 - Dulyanpu ryoku - Jump Power What is different between Attack (ATT) and Power (POW)? Well, if you look at those Attribute Translation above. You will see that, the Attack is just attack and Power is translated as "Destructive Power." So, this means that Attack Power is affect on damage to humans (troops, officers and such), while the Destructive Power is affect on damage to buildings (barriers, towers, tools, etc.) This means that, if you rise Attack, you will hurt more people. If you rise Power, you will destory buildings more easily, thru easier to take 4 towers bases. However, due to the fact that we need to kill troops more than destory buildings, it is better to put more on Attack than Power. However, you still need to put 1 ~ 2 Upgrade on Power to take bases faster too! Side Note: The +Added number is NOT EXACT. It can be +2 ~ -2 differences in each stat. When you got a weapon, the +Added Stat will be somewhat random, however, the number of +Added will be just around these numbers in table. (So you cannot get Lv 2 weapon better than Lv 3, for example). Alert!: In first 2 weapon's level, they will LOOK THE SAME! The Lv 2 one will have the word 改(Kai) at the end of the weapon name. Level 3 weapons will look like 2nd weapon and Level 4 weapons will look like 3rd weapon.

--- Here are some quests that I already put in earlier posts (combined here now). 息子の更正 - The Son's Correction (Rank: E) Obtain This Quest form: 行商 (Trader NPC in Market) Amount of Player Needed: 1 Player 勝利条件:制帳時間以内に行商の息子。何直を除くすべての山賊頭目を撃破する Victory Condition: You meet with 阿直and all the bandit leaders who meet are defeated before time run out. 矢敗条件:制帳時間内にすべての山頭の頭目を撃破できない。または、誤って阿直を除撃破してしまう Defeat Condition: The bandit leaders with all the mountain heads cannot be defeated when time run out OR this officer (阿直) is defeated by mistake. 阿直 located at the west of the base of your starting point. Don't defeat him, but defeat the 4 Bandit Leaders... all in Hyper Mode. One in the southeast of Supply Base, one in the East of West base, one in the isolated red group Southwest of the 阿直, and another one at North of the Southwest base. 鉄材の収集 - Collection of Iron (Rank: E) Obtain This Quest from: 鍛冶識人 (Blacksmith NPC in Market) Amount of Player Needed: 1 Player 勝利条件:制限時間内に敵の撃破数か200以上になる Victory Condition: Your K.O. Count is 200 or MORE before time run out. 矢敗条件:制限時間内の敵の撃破数か200未満である Defeat Condition: Your K.O. Count is LESS THAN 200 after time ran out. Simple, kill tons of troops! However, there is a trick through. It started with isolated group of 5 troops spread throughout the map. To get more enemies, you have to take the bases! Recommended to take 2 bases that close to each other. After you take a base, more troops will be show up outside the base that you took and its respawn rate is much better than the start of the battle. Recommended to kill more than 200 for better grade (get more items)! 幻の酒 − Rare Sake (Rank: E) Obtain This Quest from: 酒場主人 (Bartender Shop NPC) Amount of Player Needed: 1 Player 勝利条件:制限時間内に賊を撃破して「幻の酒」を取り返す Victory Condition: The thief is defeated in the time limit and "Rare Sake" is got back. 矢敗条件:制限時間内に「幻の酒」を取り返すことかでさない Defeat Condition: You did not get "Rare Sake" back in the time limit. Procedures: • Take 2 of 3 bases • Kill the Bandit Leader (頭領), the signal will locate where he is. • Kill the Genetic Officer (運び屋) who will run away from you try to escape and hold “Rare Sake.” 三者三様三賊軍 − Three Person, Three Externals, and Three Rebel Armies (Rank: C) Obtain This Quest from: 酒場主人 (Bartender Shop NPC) Amount of Player Needed: 3 Players 勝利条件:制限時間内三賊軍の親玉たちを撃破する Victory Condition: Three rebel armies are defeated before time run out. 矢敗条件:制限時間内三賊軍の親玉たちを撃破でさない Defeat Condition: Three rebel armies are not defeated after time ran out. Procedures: • Do all these in 15 minutes! • Take all 3 bases: One in west, one in east, and one in northeast and take all 3 in 4 minutes! It will make signal on bases that you needed to take. (One player per base is recommended!) • Do the following as fast as possible: o Northeast Player: Take 2 bases there o West Player: Kill 7 Hyper Mode Sub-Generals o East Player: Do killing sprees (To make your team has 1,000 K.O.) • After those are done, defeat 3 Super-Hyper Mode Shu Brothers! (Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Liu Bei) 伝令護送作戦 − Orderly convoy operation (Rank: C) Obtain This Quest from: 酒場主人 (Bartender Shop NPC) Amount of Player Needed: 3 Players 勝利条件:制限時間内に伝令を目的地まで無事送り届ける Victory Condition: The orderly is safely sent to the destination in the time limit. 矢敗条件:制限時間内に伝令を目的地まで送り届けられない Defeat Condition: The orderly is not sent to the destination in the time limit. Procedures: • Take all 3 bases in the northeast corner (where you started) • Kill all enemies in the same area after you took bases. • Take 2 bases: One in northeast and one in the east. Follow the yellow officer, NOT defeat him. • Lure yellow officer to whatever base he asked for. • Take whatever base that officer asked for. • Your team (all 3 K.O. Count combined) kills the amount of K.O. that officer asked for! • Go to officer, protect him to supply base, then kill troops in area that he asked for all at once! • Then protect the bombardier, to the supply base. • Kill 3 officers that appear. They will try to run at first, kill them all. (Hyper Mode) • Finally, go to where bombardier is. Stay there for like 30 seconds and this quest will finally end! I also found out that you can hold up to 4 weapons per weapon's shelf and 10 pieces of shoes, suits, gloves, and hats (total of 40) per clothing's shelf! |
