Actually, this is probably the most logical:
This game signifies, in a way, the retirement of KOEI from making new warriors games on PS2 (SW2:XL & other expansions don't count). They can only retire from the PS2 once (unless they're like Michael Jordan  ). Since the PS3 hasn't even picked up yet, we won't see another specialty-type game like this for a L-O-N-G time. They'll go through many different DW & SW versions instead (just like PS2). |

Gundam Musou says hi to you. Sure it belongs to Bandai-Namco, but Koei help developing it, and it has also been recognized as part of the Musou series in Japan.

Agreed ... oops. I forgot about that one, but I was mainly referring to the DW & SW cross-over concept. They won't mix them on a large scale again for a long time. |

Well yeah, just like above we are asking for a sequel of a game we can't even have yet...reminds me of KH fans wanting KH3 developed before they could even buy KH2. >.> I personally don't want this to be a long series, to me the key to these Warriors titles is the historical content combined with the great gameplay; clearly in Musou Orochi the historical content is taking a back seat to only the gameplay and characters. It could also potentially degrade the main series after all; those that play them just for gameplay/characters won't have a need for DW/SW - & that would be a fatal error for the series in my opinion. |

Well said ... if they kept making DW+SW crossovers like this one, I would just buy those ... then KOEI would have less of my money

I say that if they do choose to continue the Orochi line, they should have an occasional Orochi Warriors.... like after you get 3 or 4 more versions of both Samurai and Dynasty Warriors out. Wait until you have a decent/significant amount of new characters and such, THEN make another fanservice game like this. I don't want to see one released right after each time they get one new title for each series out. |

I would like to see a Xteme Legends or Aftermath Expansion come out for it. I bought this game because of th 79 Characters but i got interested in its storyline and it left a lot of thing unclear to me, but it seems that Orochi magic didn't wear off after he died (Note:Mitsunari and Cao Pi's conversation at the end of Wei's story). But the consensus here is that it would ruin the DW/SW franchise. If that is the case SW should have been doomed to fail at SW1 due to the release of of the Capcom game Onimusha 3:Demon Siege. |

Musou Orochi was great but.. I dunno. It lacked one major thing: Story. Some of the character's stories just don't make sense really. The game leaves me desiring more stages and more stories to them. They basically pulled a DW4 with Kingdom Story modes minus the laarge amount of stages you could play through. I also don't see the point of Free mode when once you beat story mode you can play with any character in that story from then on. |

Well the magic wearing off thing brings up the question? Should this game be considered truly part of the Koei storyline? Did Orochi truly do this, only to be defeated and have his powers and effects reversed and simply forgotten by everyone? Or is it just a gimmick for Koei to make some quick cash? |

A lot of character personalities were completely screwed, it's like the character has gotten insane or has turned into a whole different person. Masamune is a pawn of Orochi who has no ambition of his own, all he does is worship the guy. In previous SW games, he was an ambitious person who had no respect for anybody but himself, and he was an opportunist, he didn't join anybody because he liked them, he joined them because they were either more powerful in his eyes; or that they're just the winning side. |

That was my main gripe with Warriors Orochi, if they were going to make a What If game, at least get the personalities right. The reason this game sold well was because people are invested in these characters, not seeing a correct representation of the them was not a good idea. I still love the game because not everyone got screwed with, some even got improved. I loved it when Xiahou Dun got all defensive against Nobunaga, that was priceless. |

I have a idea on the story. since this is not connected to the other games the universe could have stayed altered. What happens is Da Ji flees at Koshi Castle with orochi's scythe, using crazy dark arts she revives him. meanwhile, everyone is fighting for power over the warped universe. On one battle Orochi storms in to battle and destroys the armys and rises to power again. I think also he shoud be able to turn into a actual orochi beast, as in the 8 headed snakes. |

I say wait for DW6:XL/DW6:E (wait for it...), SW3, and Bladestorm 2. Then Orochi 2 could have a retelling of the entire Orochi War with all these dudes and a better stroryline. |

well thats kind of easy, orichi was one of 9 demons-gods, what if the other 8 reserect orichi and the they try to challange the warriors, since the warriors already new each other they kind of remake there armies, and there will be 10 levels (like in the other 1-10 and 1x-10x) and each of the 4 armies, wu shu wei and sw( each go after 2 of them, and team up to go after the fox demon-god i know it sounds kinda dumb but thats a sugestion |

If they are going to do a Warriors Orochi 2, I suggest these little points to take into consideration: I found Orochi as a villain lacking somewhat. He is only featured in the last chapter of every story. You'd think he would play a major role in the entire game and be more...um merciless and evil. Also I agree with what people said that the story was bland. The plot is just "boom" you're there, no development. Some characters didn't even seem affected at all. I mean you'd think that being teleported into another dimension and fighting blue-freak demons would gain a more reaction! Not just, 'oh well' and go whacking enemies like usual. But the main disappoint for me was the relationship between the characters. I was expecting this whole tension drama between Wei, Wu, and Shu warriors who were enemies and were forced to team up with each other. You'd think that the SW and DW characters would even talk about where they came from. Oh yeah, and I was expecting this whole exclamation moment when the DW characters first see " the gun" weapon. Could've been a humorous moment. Perhaps they do video game chapters like in those shows where the main characters fight tournament after tournamnet until reaching the main evil villain whose face is always hidden in the shadows until the final revealing? Just a thought... |

Exactly what I'm thinking. This is why I think Koei seems to have a bias against the Date clan. And why I'm glad the Date clan got all their glory in Sengoku Basara. If I am to remake Warriors Orochi's story, I would seriously rearrange the character roster or at least wait until there is a 'Dong Zhuo' equivalent for the Sengoku people. Koei looks as if they're making Masamune 'The Dong Zhuo of Sengoku'. |

But, Masamune saw the greatness in Orochi, and knew that Orochi was the way ahead. Masamune did not die inside or whatever, he was the same arrogant so and so. |

I agree. Although I am confused why they didn't have him rebel at a certain point. I saw him more as the type of taking whoever's side is winning and then turning around and stabbing them in the back. At least that's what I got out of his character from the game. |

I wonder what the story would be like for this game? haha I was thinking, do u think the reason that Da Qiao, Xing Cai, Zhu Rong, Meng Huo, Jiang Wei, Pang De and Zuo Ci are all missing from DW6 is because they are still arped in Orochi's world lol. |

lol Hope they could find a way out before DW7's release. Some people suggested that Koei should make WO2 after DW6 and SW2 with additional characters but as we know, there's no additional characters in DW6 at all even worse 7 were cut! So I'd say Koei should wait until they've released DW7 (if Koei's going to make it). They would need to improve the stories (make it more complex) and lots of cutscenes like they did with DW6. That's all I want! Oh... adding characters from Bladestorm would be nice too!
