In limbo Posts: 805 Group: Members Member #2,768 Joined: July 28, 2006	I've been working on some English patches for the Chinese versions of ROTK10 and ROTK11 (the ROTK10 one is far more complete). I was curious if people would buy the Chinese versions if the patch was complete enough. Some limitations: Officer names would be truncated to fit within the space allowed, and there'd be no spaces. For instance, Sun Ce would be SunCe, Cheng Pu would be ChgPu, and Sun Quan would be SunQan. Text that's represented by pictures would not be translated. There may be minor errors in the dialogue (but no worse than the mistakes KOEI makes in localizing the games anyway). It would not allow you to use English names for your officers, only Chinese. Translations would be shortened to fit into the space available for commands and such. It would be for the PUK versions only. What do you think? Is it worth me to work on this? It won't work for pirated versions (I don't support piracy).

In limbo Posts: 805 Group: Members Member #2,768 Joined: July 28, 2006	It certainly doesn't make the game run any slower. The only things being changed are text strings. You'd just need to make sure you had an up-to-date version of the game, which is fairly easy to do.
