Same kinda, when I got my Xbox 360, the first game I bought was Samurai Warriors 2 Empires. I noticed the Warriors and Empires, and my father informed me that Samurais were from Japan, so I instantly thought "Japanese Dynasty Warriors? No way." Read the back to realize Hanzo Hattori, an idol of mine and Oda Nobunaga were in it. So I got it.

I found it because I liked Dynasty Warriors, then found about about this.
Same here, I wouldn't have herd of this game if not for Dynasty Warriors, when I heard that Koei was making a Samurai version of the Warriors series I just had to check it out...and that was back in the PS2 days.

I think it was when I was really little and I used to rent a random game every 2 or so weeks and one week rented SW1 because it looked similar to DW and I've been hooked ever since ^^

Samurai Warriors was a game I just kept seeing on the shelves in the Game Stores over and over again. @.@ It was not until after a good amount of Years while of playing Dynasty Warriors I found out that Samurai Warriors was made by the same Company that made Dynasty Warriors, and I got it as soon as I realized that!! (I got it really cheap) I am SO glad I got it!!! Both the Samurai Warriors and the Dynasty Warroirs Series are Amazing!! ^_____^

I was a DW fan, just only that kind of KOEI genre, when I played Warriors Orochi I wondered why some characters name sound Japanese, I got the first to test it out myself, and man it was hard but pretty good

I'd bought DW3 and 4 beforehand so when I saw an ad for it in a magazine at the time I instantly made the connection and decided I'd check it out. I wasn't disappointed ^_^

Around the time I first started playing the DW series SW was going to come out in a month. My cousin who kind of followed Koei was pumping me up saying "SAMURAI WARRIOR'S CHARACTERS ARE THE KIDS OF THE DYNASTY WARRIORS CHARACTERS! Yeah you see how Nobunaga looks exactly like Cao Cao? That's his son..." (keep in mind we are around ten) So I was mega excited and eventually I realized that it was two completely different countries and time periods. xD

My friend and I played the hell out of DW3 and DW4. Then we heard SW1 was coming out. Surprizingly, SW1 got some decent amount of hype, I saw ads for it in all kinds of game magazines. In fact one game magazine actually had a page for the preview of SW1 that gave historical facts about Hattori Hanzo and some other characters. But we rented the game because it was KOEI. And a few months later I bought SW1.

My familu moved house and my older bro gave his play station 2, memory card cotrollers and all the game discs to me. I looked through the discs and found Samurai Warriors 1.

It was either an advertisment in DW4 or me checking the internet for other KOEI games, I'm not sure anymore XD

I saw SW1 in my local blockbuster a few times and didn't think anything of it. Later that year, my dad brought home DW4 and I became a Koei addict. Then when I passed it again one day and say the "Warriors" it sounded too familiar. Upon looking closer I saw it was made by the same company!

So I rented it and a week later SW1 was bought and in my household.

First time I even heard of Samurai Warriors was from my cousin. Her dad had modded their Xbox and had downloaded the game directly onto the console and when I saw it, I thought it looked pretty interesting. Gave it a try and noticed that it played just like Dynasty Warriors. The rest is history.

I had actually played Warriors Orochi before I even knew of the existence of the SW games. I enjoyed the SW characters personality-wise and moveset-wise in WO so I decided to pick up and start playing the SW games. This was a little over a year ago which is a bit strange.

Returned To SW2, Looked At The Box Art "Kotaro" , :/ Bought It
