Bought SW2 at a discount at a local video store, not knowing what to expect. I expected more one-on-one fights and less repetitive gameplay, but I kept playing it and it grew on me.

Afterwards, I browsed this forum to look for a way to get Katsuie and Kojiro as playables, only to hear they weren't unlockable. Then SW2:XL got announced and I kinda stuck around here.

Probably during my PSP's early days in my possession. My brother was playing DW Vol.2 and I saw them SW2 characters in his army. Then I got more familiar when I attempted to play SW: State of War only to realize Oichi was so different in SW1 and SW2 appearance-wise.
I just remembered. It was actually when I saw some SW1 screenshots posted on a local kids' magazine, but back then I was so ignorant with anything KOEI.

I discovered DW4 when it came out and I loved it. After some time, I told a friend about the game and he said to me "Hey! I think I saw the same game but with samurais in Japan!".

I said "WHAT?!" and ran to my local game store and brought SW1!

I had heard of Dynasty Warriors, but never heard of Samurai Warriors. As a history buff, I had a recollection of Oda Nobunaga. A good friend of mine, while were were talking about the Sengoku Jidai, told me about Kuroda Kanbei and showed me his model from SW3. Neither one of us knew that SW3 was coming out that week. Since it was Gamecube controller compatible, I thought "Why not?" The rest is history.

Since then, I've purchased Samurai Warriors 3, Samurai Warrior Chronicles, Pokemon Conquest, Samurai Warriors 4, and Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3. Never you mind Dynasty Warriors 8, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends, and Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires. Heck, I bought a PS3 for the specific purpose of playing SW4. Oh yeah, Hyrule Warriors for my Wii U as well. People might talk down Samurai Warriors 3, but that was my introduction and I wouldn't be giving KT so much money as I do now. To say the warriors games are my obsession is an understatement.

I first discovered Samurai Warriors in my local video rental store, which doesn't exist anymore. I was just looking around for a new game to play and happend to find a game called Samurai Warriors, which instantly reminded me of the Dynasty Warriors games, which had been playing ever since DW2, and then I saw the Koei logo on the cover, which made me instantly rent teh game. I played it for hours after renting it and soon bought myself a copy and have been playing this series ever since.

A nephew of mine got me into DW4 first, then it gradually led to checking out SW1, then I was absolutely hooked when a friend let me borrow SW:XL :honda:

I ended up "borrowing" SW:XL indefinitely at that point

Searched about SW after playing my first DW game, watched a bunch of playthroughs and cutscenes and I fell in love with the franchise immediately. Eventually I brought myself to buy SW: State of War, the PSP version of the first SW (?)

Pokémon Conquest - how I found out about Koei in general. Like most people who played it, I found out about SW before NA.

Always been in love with DW since PS2 days... I bought SW1 as soon as it came out. Hanzo Hattori quickly became my favorite ninja. Lol.

While playing Pokemon Conquest which is a collaboration between Pokemon and Samurai Warriors, decide to play SW3 on Wii that only can play is free mode and historical mode. That's how I found out about Koei Warriors as I continue to like WO and DW.

When I was around 3-4, my neighbor let me borrow SW2 when he found out I loved DW3. And I'm not too sure why, I started calling Nobunaga "Lord Kazekage" for some reason and only fixed it about 5 years ago lol
