This thread is where you take the characters of your choice, and describe how YOU would design them if you had the choice for Shin Sangoku Musou/Dynasty Warriors. This extends to how they look, how they act, what weapon they use, and so on. You can list your ideal list of five to eight or so stages for characters too, no matter if they exist in DW yet or not. You can also make up designs for new characters as well! I personally will attempt to tackle all 48 characters shown in DW5, bit by bit. Those I feel are already good as is, I'll make mention of that. Be creative! --- Xiahou Dun - Personally, I feel they done a pretty consistently good job with Dun's design. About all I'd do is cut his hair shorter and make his scimitar have a larger blade and a long handle. Stages: Yellow Turban Rebellion, Pursuit of Dong Zhuo, Rescuing the Emperor, Battle of Xia Pi, Battle of Baima, Guan Yu's Escape, Battle of Bo Wang Po Dian Wei - Give him dual double-sided axes that can lock together by the handles for TOMAHAWK BOOMERANG!-like action. Otherwise, he's fine. I like the fact he's completely bald, which is like the polar opposite of his more common depiction with hair everywhere. Stages: Pursuit of Dong Zhuo, Yellow Turban Extermination, Rescuing the Emperor, Defense of Chen Liu, Escape from Wan Xu Zhu - Keep him big and fat, even keep his big iron club, but give him a fierce beard and arm guards and less comical "durrr" demeanor and moveset. Make him a vicious fighter! Stages: Yellow Turban Extermination, Defense of Chen Liu, Battle of Guan Du, Battle of Tong Pass, The Campaign Against Wu Cao Cao - Add a mantle and he's golden. Stages: Pursuit of Dong Zhuo, Rescuing the Emperor, Campaign Against Yuan Shu, Battle of Guan Du, Battle of Chang Ban, Showdown at Chi Bi, Battle of Tong Pass, Showdown at Han Zhong Xiahou Yuan - Keep everything, just make his club moveset more bashing and less slashing. Stages: Battle of Baima, Yuan Family Extermination, Showdown at Chi Bi, Battle of Tong Pass, Battle of Yang Ping Gate, Showdown at Han Zhong Zhang Liao - Give him a little more color to his face like his DW4 look, and give him a goatee instead of the scraggy beard. A mantle would do well. Stages: Capture of Pu Yang, Battle of Xia Pi, Siege of Xiao Pei, Battle of Guan Du, Battle of He Fei, Battle of Ru Xu Kou, The Campaign Against Wu Sima Yi - Keep everything, except make his fan have an extend-able blade hidden in the feathers. Xiahou Dun - Conversely to SRS, I always liked Dun with his longer hair style, Dw3 style. and of course bring the horse cutting cape. Dian Wei - Perfect already. Only make the axes as bag as they were on 3 and two of 'em. Xu Zhu - I'd like to see a taller Xu Zhu, so he keeps the same weigh but it's more spread out on his body. A change of face and a fearsome beard. His hair no longer in a bun and as he swings he yells, beserk. Cao Cao - Cape. A cape would make him absolutely perfect. Xiahou Yuan - Honestly, for Yuan they seem to have gotten a good look. Keep his wiseguy DW5 persona, and for gods sake, make him have a good moveset. Zhang Liao - Zhang Liao has always struck me as the kind who should be wearing more armour, he looks fairly fragile. Keep the mighty hat. Sima Yi - Give him a most sinister beard/'tasche. Xu Huang - Bring back his Dw4 look, please. My all time favourite XH. and also a new personality because he's a tad wooden at the mo. Zhang He - Tough one. I could say 'ditch the fairy wings and flowers' but then it's not really Zhang He, is it? Make the claws longer. Zhen Ji - Cao Ren - Give his buckler blade more reach and his moves more priority. Cao Pi - Keep the same. Pang De - Change the weapon only. Great on 5 but will be too similar to the newer Dian Wei I evision. Give him, uh, a crossbow or something along the lines. Always wanted to see one in a DW game. Zhou Yu- I'd say keep him relatively the same. He's got too big a fanbase to change drastically. Taishi Ci- Make him bigger and scarier. Change the twin maces to twin halderd heads and give him more reach. Lu Xun- Bring back the mighty hat! Sun Shang Xiang - Whatever they do, don't make her a whingey emo 'I lost Liu Bei' again. I preffered her when he had some spunk. Sun Jian - More range and scarier in general. he was described like a bear in the book. I'd then keep his swords as a weapon but have some charges include picking up the enemy and throwing him about. Sun Quan - bring back the helicopter hat. Gan Ning - Have some bells on his waist that jingle when he walks/swings. Lu Meng- Make him better. He's got a nice set of armour but if they make his C5/6 better he'll be pretty damn good. Huang Gai- Less bombs, more thwacky. Also, more Mr T based lines, eg 'Huang Gai just pitied that foo'' or 'My fire ship is helluva fast". Sun Ce - Nothing much Da Qiao -Nuthin' Xiao Qiao- nuthin' Zhou Tai - Keep him more or less the same but bring back the helmet. Ling Tong- Nuthin' major. Zhao Yun - Keep his 6 look, it's pretty damned good. Guan Yu - Lose the beard. >_>. Naw, Just keep him as he is. Zhang Fei- Make him better! He's pretty naff considering how good he's meant to be. Liu Bei- Have a cutscene of him being stabbed and maimed by everybody. I'll smile. Zhuge Liang- Give him Ieyasu's Mega Bastard Death Ray as a musou, it would be so much easier to control. Ma Chao - Make him better on foot, less reliant on a horse. Keep the look. Huang Zhong- Give him a bow as a main weapon, like Ina. Jiang Wei- Ick. No comment. Pang Tong- Keep him in, that's all I ask. Wei Yan- Make his musou have the words 'I'll get you Zhuge Liang.... next time...". Yue Ying- Never used her. Don't care for the wench. Guan Ping- Ditch him and give the moveset to a more deserving new character. Xing Cai- Make her swing faster, I suppose, and a lot less stabs. Diao Chan - keep them maracas. Lu Bu- Make him Dw4 Lu Bu! "Worthless SCUUUUUM" Dong Zhuo- Fatter than Xu Zhu. Keep the jaggered blade. Yuan Shao- Have an option to port over ANY of Yuan Sha's sexy spikey hats. Zhang Jiao- Ditch and angry jesus. Give him some semblance of personality. Meng Huo- Keep him the same. Or maybe a throw where he sits on the foe. Zhu Rong- Keep the same. Maybe cover her up a bit. Zuo Ci- Give the moveset, albiet slightly nerfed, do a more deserving fellow, ie Lu Su, Jia Xu, etc. |
 Akechi Mitsuhide(WGXH) *Ruler* Perks: Arms Expert (Mitsuhide's soldiers take less damage from muskets) Tennozan Charge: Mitsuhide may use this skill to have any Akechi unit quickly gain speed and get to high ground or any advantegeous spot of Mitsuhide's choosing. Musket Blitz: If Mitsuhide has ashigaru teppou or samurai gunmen and some melee troops, he can use this skill to have his gunmen fire into an enemy unit's van while his melee soldiers attack an enemy's flank, thus causing good damage and confusion of the enemy ranks. Vengeful Onslaught: When on the battlefield with Oda, Tokugawa, or Toyotomi forces, Mitsuhide's soldiers can do more damage if this ability is used. Family Allies: When on the feild with Akechi Hidemitsu, Mitsuhide may use this skill to have his entire unit gain a morale boost. Musket Master: Mitsuhide and his men all fire in one synchronized volley. Mitsuhide may injure the enemy commander, and the enemy suffer heavy damage. Sima Yi- I would change his personality, and weapon, and clothes too. Give him something like DW4s Zhou Yu clothes but purple/blue and a long, curverd and thin sword, like a saber. Cao Cao- a cape would be perfect. Zhuge Liang- I would give him some sarcasm and sense of humor. His DW versions are nothing compared to the ROTK TV series version in my opinion. He should have that personality. About his looks, I think that his is ok. I will think in the other characters later

No Remorse: (Duel only) Hidemitsu attacks the enemy's horse in an attempt to kill the horse and dismount the enemy. When fighting on foot, Hidemitsu's next attack will not fail. Mitsuhide's Relative: When fighting alongside another officer, Hidemitsu and the other officer can attack the enemy together, temporarily increasing attack and morale. Onimusha: Hidemitsu’s strength increases greatly. His next move will be tripled in damage and effectiveness. | |

Zhang Jiao-Make him paler, give him a weird-looking nose, have him wear black and make him do the moonwalk for one of his charge attacks! Zhen Ji-NO CLOTHES LOlOLol OH AND MAEK HER MASTER BATE DURAN' A CUT SEEN!  Xiahou Yuan-  Liu Bei-Maybe have him grow a sack or something? Just a thought. Also have him do more quick slicing/dashing moves so that he's different from Sun Jian and Coco. Guan Yu- Dong Zhuo-More body slams. Zhang Liao-He should wield a baguette to match his French moustache. Cao Ren-Turn his buckler blade into more of a buster gun. Make it so that he has a special move whereby he can steal data from an enemy and use it to change up his weapon like Megaman can! Zhang He-Allow him to fly with those wings. Xu Huang-My quest for ideas...will have to wait. Diao Chan-Give her a sombrero and poncho. Taishi Ci-Koei should just be blunt and change his sex-toy looking weapons into dildos. <.< Ma Chao-Ma Chao, Ma Chao Maaaaan...! I want to be, a Ma Chao Man! Gan Ning-He's a f*cking pirate. Give him a hook for an arm. Huang Zhong-Make him like a real old man. Every single line he says should sound like it comes from a geriatric, senile man in a nursing home. He should also have bad hearing. Liu Bei: Let's unite the Han together, friends! Huang Zhong: What? Mate with bombs? Ah, that reminds me of my youth as a young cadet in a bakery store... Wei Yan: What....the....f*ck....? Huang Zhong: Tiger meat is good with ketchup. I should know; I was in the navy. Copy: I like how he's Cao Cao's son but is more evil than Cao Cao, but somehow I think he needs a quicker moveset. Still, I think he's one of the better characters in the game as far as appearance/personality go. Dian Wei-Have Vin Diesel voice him. Wei Yan-I like the way he talks and stuff, but he sounds like he's gotten dumber as the DW's have gone on. Maybe they should work on that. Zhou Tai-His face should look like Freddy Kruger's from all the scars. Sensai: I'm getting sick of the f*cking tonfas. Give him a weapon that doesn't suck, maybe? Lu Xun: Make him look more like Koutetsu Sangokushi's Rikuson with the cloak that he has in the first episode. Ditch one or two characters from each of the three kingdoms and add more 'other' kingdoms characters. List of ditch-worthy characters: Shu-Guan Ping, Yue Ying Wei-Xu Zhu, Xiahou Yuan Wu-Huang Gai, Taishi Ci All the above should be made into special-NPCs. xiahou dun: DW6 look, DW5 shimtar with larger blade with a little slower,more powerful attacks, story unchanged, also a costom added with helmet, he would be more mannered and intellegent Dian wei : let him wore a normal pants and boot like in DW 5 and no shoulder armor, keep his tatoo, wield a chained ball. he should be more bloodthirsty and honerable at same time. story unchanged Caocao: Make him wearing black clothing , also give him a cape. he should walk in a fashin normal dark lord would instead of running, let him seem more majestic, his fighting style should include more powerful attacks and give him more ability to blast hundred of soldier around him at once. His musou mode should let him die on time or let him go further than just china, and also add an aged costom and a young one so he could be portaid more accurately. Caopi: wear black armor and white robe, similar to DW6 desigh but more magic based attack. he should be more cruel and also made more talented with speech and have a more virtues way to treat people, his musou mode also must let him die on time. Xiahou yuan: taller and thinner wearing full armor, use the giant blade he use in DW6 and wore a bow on his back that he can change into using. same personality and story Zhen ji: make her younger and cuter, give her less clothing, especially remove the extra long skirt, use DW5 flute. Sima yi: DW6, use a Fu chen(taoist horsehair attatched to a stick thing that lauch small projectiles)one and have a ton of magic attack even in normal chain, he would be trecherous and much more intellegent as he stand off against zhugeliang luxun and pangtong at once. add an older costom as well, like a beard, he looks like a eunich right now(thoguh good) Zhang he--make his cloth cover up his body, it can be girly in color and he could use his old woman claw, but definately full cloth to keep his dignity caoren: taller, wear clothing like DW5 and use a sword and shield instead of a awkward buckler blade.same otherwise SSX: less clothing, something more like DW6 except no legging and less wierd things on her, also let her wear tiger skin aroung her like her brothers. Use DW6 bow style. her story should more involved with her love to liubei and her brothers and at end of musou mode she would kill the Cao family heir in a scene. also give her a more tomboy personality and make her more eager to fight. Sun quan--DW6, more official and regal clothing like Caopi's, same otherwise Sun Jian--DW5, use a more unique style like his son's. have long, white hair hanging out Hwang gai: Big burley man need more clothing, maybe let him wear a full suit of armor and have a cool(something off sparta) helmet instead of Mr.T hair, he should have a more crowld clearing style using his giant rod Taishi ci--DW6, with dual schimtar like weapon weild in croweld clearing style snd more loyal and honerable. Sunce--DW6 with DW5 tonfa, DIE ON TIME zhouyu--DW6, DIE ON TIME screaming about zhuge liang zhoutai--DW6 look, DW5 katana, more ninja like lu xun--less "feminine" and childish clothing,as in more complete and loose. he should be in a darker red and be around only since lu meng is gone. lu meng: DW6 pwnz zhao yun--deeper and more cocked voice like lu bu, fast charging move primarlly and show previous honor, maybe a costom allow him to have a helmet and mustasche/beard since he did became older. guan yu--more GOD like hwang zhong: wear a bow on his back that can be switch into using and more hint of againg. wei yan--DW5, but i really appriciate more clothing than thet loincloth...... guan ping--DW6 DW5 sword zhuge liang-- use more magic attack, even in his normal chain liu bei--DW6, but also give him a older look as his alternative costom and a more traditional swordplay. xing cai--use something other than that fork..... yue ying--DW6 look, but DW5 pale moon helberd jiang wei--less "pretty boy" look, a more traditional way of attack' LU Bu--DW5, more armored with huge shoulder armore and guards resemble DW6 but in grey-gold color. use traditional helberd. diao chan--DW6, but take that duck voice out and remove the tight pants.....same fighting and story. dong zhuo--give him some redeeming feature like intellegence and thoughtfulness as it is awful to see a big fat evil ugly wuss.!! zhang jiao---more weird moves and fire attack, let him moonwalk on a attack and scream like a monkey..... Meng huo--a more human look and brutal, hardened voice. he would also be less obese and funny zhu rong--less full body(especially thinner thigh) with lighter skin, and more flame usage in attack list of character i want to be unique instead of generic Wei--cao zhi, xu zhe,deng ai wu--none shu--liu chan other--wen chou, yan liang, he jin |

Cao Cao- Just give him a long black and Red Cape. Cao Ren- Bring back the Buckler blade (or give him a bladed Kite Shield), but keep the heavily armored look. Cao Pi- Give him something that lends itself to more sadistic attacks- maybe a barb-tipped rapier. Dian Wei- Dual Halberds. Heavily armor the shoulders and up to the knees, the rest can be lik tattered clothing and straps. Zhang Liao- Some type of big, 5-pronged spear. Return him to his DW4/DW5 look, but somewhat gaudier. Xiahou Dun- I kind of like his new look, but it should be more ragged, disheveled, and less heavily armored. With regard to wepons, a long, thick, strongly curved Shamshir. Xiahou Yuan- keep the DW6 Hairstyle, armor him in Blue and Black armor in spots, crossed with some gold/red clothing. As for Weapon, a long, wide flambard (European 2-handed sword with wavy, flame-like edges) Zhen Ji- Stay similar, but give her the flute back. Sima Yi- He's about good as is. Zhang He- I can't really offer solid advice on what should be done with him. Xu Huang- Give him a huge, Double bladed battle axe he can wield one-handed, similar outfit to DW5. Xu Zhu- Make him less of a moron, and more the feared battlefield death machine he was. Guan Yu- I'm vey pleased with his current look. He could use a better moveset though. Zhang fei- He's about perfected as is now. Guan Ping- Give him the big sword back, though I approve of his DW6 look. Ma Chao- Give him a spear with crescent-shaped blades on both sides in addition to the central head, and make his outfit a DW4/6 mashup, with a gold helmet, and black, gold, green, and white armor. Yue Ying- For the time being, I like her outfit, but maybe give her a hula hoop blade (Mori Motonari Sb2-style) Zhuge Liang- He's great as is. Wei Yan- Return him more to his DW5 outfit, although the crocodile skin armor can remain on parts of his outfit. weapon wise- a meteor hammer (chain with mace heads at both ends) Liu Bei- Get his DW5 outfit. The dual swords stay. Pang Tong- I like the Moth vibe, although they should make his weapon something really wierd- maybe a giant moth familiar and staff. Huang Zhong- similar outfit to what he has now (but more gold elements), and dual wield a saber and Yue Ying's DW6 crossbow. Zhao Yun- Can stay as is. Sun Ce- Really ragged red and gold armor and tiger pelts, maybe a green cape. Use just his bare hands (perhaps gauntlets that cover the fists.) Sun Quan- I like the current Sun Quan. Sun Jian- I generally like him, but he should be given a more rugged look, and a cracked helmet exposing his white hair. Ling Tong- He should basically be returned to his DW5 self. Taishi Ci- More intimidating, perhaps spiky, armor, and add some small blades/spikes all around his poles. Lu Meng- The current Lu Meng is solid. Huang Gai- Ditch the mohawk, keep the white hair, heavy red/brown armor, and his weapon should be a type of primitive hand cannon (it could have a drago/lion's head...) Gan Ning- A throwback to his DW4 look, and his weapon should be a long, serrated edge cutlass. Lu Xun- For what he is, he's alright. Zhou Yu- See above. Zhou Tai- Return him to a DW4/5 look, and upgrade the Tachi to a long, wide odachi (same DW4/5 style of fighting, though.) That Quiao- Can't give good advice on her, I don't like the character. SSX- more or less send her back to her DW5 self. Diao Chan- They already have a great Diao Chan. Yuan Shao- They should make him more similar to his DW5 self, though they should make his sword longer, give it back the forked tongue appearance, and give him a big, gaudy gold circular shield. Lu Bu- Make him as tough and hard as DW3, but give him his DW4 look, and his halberd back. Dong Zhuo- His current look is alright, but he could use a bit more armor and a grandiose, ornate helmet. His weapon could basically be a giant meat cleaver. Zhang Jiao- I'll have to think up on what he should be more like. They should have all the cut characters return, and add the following as playables: Yuan Shu, Liu Biao, Gongsun Zan, Yue Jin, Yu Jin, Dong Xi, Cheng Pu, Zhang Xiu, Xu Sheng, Zhu Ran, Sha Moke, and Pan Zhang and Deng Ai. Guan Yu - even more muscley and I want him tohave one arm uncovered so that you can see how strong he is since he is the god of war. Keep his weapon Zhao Yun - A little bit less of the whole "justice thing" Keep his weapon and MS Zhang Fei - I love him the way he is  Keep his large spear Liu Bei - umm make him more intelligent yet learning lots... almost like Lu Xun. I like the DW6 weapons Zhuge Liang - make him slightly less... evil and dark (sort of) I liked it in DW6 when his weapon sometimes changed to a sword Ma Chao - Make him more muscley almost like from kessen 2. Give him back his spear Pang Tong - make him sort of like Xiahou Yuan's personality using words like awesome and commenting on peoples looks. give him a slightly smaller version of his dw6 weapon Huang Zhong - keep him like DW6 he was awesome then but give him a bow ffs! Jiang Wei - make him more young almost like Lu Xun. but give him a trident that is less like a spear Wei Yan - make him even more fierce and scary. give him gauntlets like a smaller version of meng huo's claws Yue ying - I like her dw6 look but change her hair back but keep the crossbow thing Guan Ping - keep the DW6 look but change his weapons to two smaller versions of Guan Yu's weapon Xing Cai - I like her personality as it is. I dunno about her weapon I cba to do anymore xD |
