He changed both his appearance & weapons considerably since SW1, and he's so much better now IMO. I was surprised, since I didn't like him very much in the first game. He's a really good character now, and fun to play. And his Story isn't bad in SW2, like for exemple his 3rd movie. Too bad his specials aren't that great, his R1+Square is lacking power, however...

Once you get his fourth weapon and Level Three Musou, use C4 to freeze the enemy and Level Three Musou to kill them. Works even better with the Awakening 3 skill.

Everything else about him is awesome, he's one of my favorite characters in the game.

This guy definitely isn't a rock anymore.... Posts: 4,434 Group: Members Member #749 Joined: February 21, 2006 Gender Male	He's ok but I don't really think he was that much improved over his SW1 version >_>. His Musou is weak without Awakening 3 and I don't like his Specials. His Charge attacks are fine, though. I also preferred his story in SW1 although it was completely fictional. 12-year-old kid conquers the whole Japan... nice.

Tiger General Posts: 554 Group: Members Member #5,956 Joined: March 8, 2007	I like him because he hates Kanetsugu... XD His moves are ok, his musou is ok, his specials are pretty rubbish (as a lot of them are) and he's... quite irritating. He's not as bad as he could be though; he's annoying but it's not like he pretends to be anything other than an annoying, spoiled brat. I don't really have much against his character in the game, but I don't find anything about him/his moves/his story/his weapons/his look appealing either. I kinda liked him being about 8 years old in SW1... his tinyness was funny, and the Keiji banter was good too. I don't really think he's changed all that much apart from the weapons, and those aren't fantastic. An improvement, but pretty much ... bleh.

Good thing he's not nearly as annoying in SW2, but I still hate his personality. I like his moveset though. His musou is really good for killing officers.

KOEI Warriors Unifier Posts: 1,757 Group: Members Member #7,496 Joined: May 22, 2007	The most improved character form SW to SW2.....as far as his moveset is concerned. I can remember when I saw his weapons in the first game and said to myself "WTF! This guy is no Myamoto Musashi!" I much more prefer the imbecile calling Date from SW, even though he's supposed to be a young man, he should still be brash and cocky. Great with the ice element, freeze them, activate Musou w/ awakening 2 or 3, equals instant death. Even that chump Tadakatsu cant stand up to 1 1/2 of those. But I do love his storyline, especially that cutscene when he rides to challenge Ieyasu for the land. I get chills everytime I watch that. "You didn't think I'd stay subservient forever did ya?"
