well i have heard in many japanese -chinese sites that koei announced rotk 12 and said that it will be the last in the series ...... How sad. Romance was a sweet series. 8 was probably my favorite. Hopefully they put a lot of work into 12 then. |

Hmmm. I thought the series would go on, just until they ran out of ideas. This is one of the greatest series ever IMO. I hope Koei can change there mind about this, without it Dynasty Warriors won't seem like it self too. Well I might stop playing games, if this cold-rumor is true. After that, I just may stick with history. It might not be that bad to others who don't try it, but the majority of Koei fans who play the Rotk series will be very disappointed. |

Dear forum member, please do not mistook my act for showing off my English skills. I just hope to clear up some of the confusion regarding the translation - all in good will for all members browsing this topic. And I meant it sincerely. My Translation of the excerpt: KOEI has released the latest news regarding Romance of the Three Kingdoms 12(unverified) - it is predicted that the title for the game will be Romance of the Three Kingdoms 12 - The Last Hegemon(or king, or conqueror). From this one can see that KOEI has planned this game out to be the final installment for the ROTTK series. Let's suppose that there will be unexpected surprises for all; I say we should look forward to it~~ Having said that, KOEI has always used the ROTTK series as an experiment for the Nobunaga series, so I suppose that the 13th installment of the Nobunaga series will be better than ROTTK 12 -- nevertheless it is heard that KOEI would have ROTTK OL(Translator's Comment: I presume OL stands for Online) come out, which perhaps maybe a new hope for ROTTK fans! ROTTK: Abbreviation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms |

Uhh, RotK Online is nothing like RotK XI. It's a typical Online RPG game where you battle monsters and the like around China, gain levels, have quests, etc. And I hope that RotK XII won't be the last, but right now, I'd just like to see more confirmation that they still intend to release it. I mean, it's been two years since RotK XI was out... |

No way, I love playing RoTK strategy game. I hope RoTK XII will not be the last one. KOEI should just have to add something new such as by improving the duel and debating games to the max |

If this game really does turn out to be the LAST game then they better make it perfect. I mean so definitely perfect that nothing can compare. It better be on par with Kakushin for NA... |

If it's on-par with Kakushin at least, I'll be satisfied. But hopefully it's better, because even Kakushin has a few bits that could have been better. |

Well I never played NA:13 so I only have the information of it to go by. But I would enjoy an in-depth real time strategy RTK game. |

Kakushin is NA12. But yeah, having ROTK12 like it would be very, very nice. Especially if they include the trade system and update it, and include the diplomacy with tribes, merchants, organized commoners, and religious sects. |

ROT3K 12 may not be the final ROT3K we have no idea yet as we do not have any POSITIVE news about this we don't even know if ROT3K 12 will be released the Japanese and Chinese (I am chinese) has waited 2 years for this and we still haven't got it they are being so focused on the Online version of ROT3K which slowed down the ROT3K single player process. If this is the last ROT3K then I hope this one will be the perfect one which has the game play style of ROT3K 7, 8 and 10 Everything we have now are FANS WORDS, Koei has never approved any of these news so why are we so afraid of ROT3K 12 being the final ROT3K? yes it is rumoured to be called THE LAST KING, but that does not mean it is the final version of ROT3K Edited by Oreadia, Nov 27 2008, 08:35 PM.
