Quite good but what a hard-to-find 4th weapon. About this i just want you to ask how get the precious item in dynasty warriors 5. I saw somewhere that i should win every general and sub general outside the castle...but how many are they? please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I like Huang Gai a lot. Very easy and fun to use. Don't get why people rank him so low. To get his level four weapon, go to the Yellow Turban Rebellion, Allied Side, on hard or chaos, and defeat every officer and sub officer outside of Zhang Jiao's castle by yourself. |

During earlier battles I enjoy playing as him. In the later ones can't say if I do. I always liked him and his character. Huang Gai gets perfectly fine with knowing he has to sacrifice more than just himself to win in Chi Bi. He's also a monster on DW5. Very energetic and eager to go into battle. I pretty much liked everything about him (Still do as a matter of fact.) except that MR. T look on DW6. |

I see this guy is extremely popular, not :lol: He is one of my least favourites in wu partly because of his bad moveset and also because of his personality which I dont like. He is far too slow for my liking and just plain rubbish in my opinion. I dislike his character design too, he looks too much like a Spartan. I didnt mind his VA in DW5 though. I hope that he is also good in DW6 |

Always loved Huang Gai, as he's Sun Jian's right hand man in the game. He has a pretty good moveset and good stats as well. And his Chi Bi fire attack scenes are always cool. Too bad he gets the short end of the stick moveset wise in DW6. He's still good IMO though. And I've always loved his costume. It's great that they finally gave him more armor in DW6 as well. He looks like a realy badass. Not to mention that now he looks like he could pose as Huang Zhong's brother. lol :lol: |

With this many posts I smelt a duplicate topic, but obviously not. :lol: Huang Gai, I don't mind the guy, although I find his mine style attacks rather annoying due to friendly fire. Speed wise he is only average and I'm not particularly fond of his striking style move set either. I prefer characters that slash across a wide area, not the pummeling style Huang Gai uses. |

I, on the other hand, mind him very much. I don't like using Huang Gai at all, he's charge attack is almost useless, not to mention friendly-fire. He's one of the slow mover, range is very average and a rod doesn't suit him at all. He's another one of the characters where I only use when I have to(unlocking 4th weapons, story modes, etc). Otherwise, I just leave him alone. <_< |

Well, He had a hard 4th weapon and being rather slow character, he also is too unpredictible because he can even kill himself with the dynymite :lol: the best part is his powers and ability to throw dynymite. and also He is SO UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!! :angry: he basically is a mr.T in tight that try to look "sexy" but ends up disgusting :lol: glad in dw6 he got a new look and cloned move off xuzhu. |

I hate Huang Gai. He is one of my least favorites characters. His bombs were the main problem for me cause even when he was an ally on your team, those bombs will still damage you. Not only that, I don't like his moveset, voice, and look. He reminds me of Zangief from Street Fighter too much. >.< |

I agree with you 100% on that :rolleyes: Huang Gai is bad all round :lol: There is nothing good about him to say. His story mode wasn't that impressive either. It was so boring even his move set sucked a lot. If he had different weapon then he might be good. His DW6 costume looks awesome, His move set might need some changes. For example his musou should be something like throwing bombs like No in SW2. |

Well, I didn't like him at all when I first played the Dynasty Warriors series. That could of been partially due to me being younger and making quick assumptions, though. But then again, I still don't like Huang Gai that much, as his personality and appearance do not appeal to me. In fact the only part I like about him is his very painful and quite comedic, moves. He even moves like an old man, looking-all-frail. |

Huang Gai was the 1st character I ever picked in a Dynasty Warriors game. (Granted it was a demo of DW3 where you could only choose from 3 characters, but still...) I enjoy his persona, moveset, and look. (Though I thought his DW4 costume was better than his DW5). I'm not really digging the huge mohawk he has in DW6, but I like that they finally made him look old. He always talks about being old but he looked no older than 45 years. I love his new weapon design, and his new armor looks amazing. |

Huang Gai is an average character with one or two fun moves like his third charge attack and bomb throwing. In duels he was pretty awesome though, however he simply Xu Zhu now in Dynasty Warriors 6, looks cool though. |

I unlocked him today, he looks great but is pretty boring to use IMO plus he is pretty slow as well. Don't think I will be using him much in the future this time around, I liked him a lot back in DW3/4. |

But he used a rod historically I believe or at least in the novel. PRetty sure that's why he has it. |

He's an odd one in the army. Wu is made up of pretty boys and agility. And look, they even made Sun Jian handsome now, and perform better than ever. He is very close to Jian, and his right-hand man I suppose. Also the veteran. |

Yeah that does make him a bit of an oddball. But then again so would Zhou Tai and Taishi Ci be as well. And I find it surprising that we don't get to see Huang Gai with Sun Jian that often in DW6. I hope we get to see them around each other more in DW6:S |

You do seem him in a few cutscenes of Sun Jian's. But I think its like us being only able to see Zhou Tai with Sun Quan etc. I guess Koei decided to pair them a bit more strategically. For a reason we do not yet know perhaps? |

True. Ot aof all the movesets on the game, his was one of the only ones where it seemed like he was kind of angry. I mean granted everyone wanted to kill, but he seemed like he wanted to just cause as much pain as possible bashing you like that. |

Haha, yeah, and like Huang Zhong's true musou end where he stumbles and shows his age, this character also I feel does in his C3. His legs do not move in grace to put it blunt. |

Okay, he may not be one of my favourite old guys like Huang Zhong, but he knows what must be done to win Chi Bi and he is a really loyal guy to the Sun family which I like. As moveset goes, hes a straightforward fighter, he bashes the crap out of his enemy, with his C3 from DW4 being one of the most painful looking attacks I've seen, the Bomb concept is a bit overused but its still fun to blow things up, his effective attacks are his C3-C6 which is pretty good, his C5 being his main. I wouldn't change him at all, his moveset is simple yet effective and thats something that goes well with Huang Gai if you ask me... the bombs are a nice touch as well, if theres a Wu General I want back in DW6:S, then its this guy. :lol: |

He is like a foreigner when I try comparing with another characters. His armour design and weapon that make him look like a gladiator. He has mohawk  It is so strange for the old man. I am not a fan of Huang Gai but I like his personality. He has a sense of humour. His movesets are not that bad. I dislike one of his charge attack where he kicks, kicks, kicks... It is funny attack. |
