Now it is everyone elses turn to discuss there feelings on him and what you like/dislike about him

Posts: 3,638 Group: Members Member #9,265 Joined: August 19, 2007 Gender Male	I have loathed his character in the past, his (rather large) hand axe with his poor speed and range is something I've not liked at all to date. Sure he offers necessary additions to the Wei story; but as a fighter I'm far from impressed. However, he now has the Iron Ball which would appear to also have greater range then his prior weapon; it may well be the thing which allows me to appreciate his character more.

In otherwords, its all staged. The iron ball gives him some major chance to kick fkin' arse though, and im looking forward to the 360 version of dw6.
	I hereby vow, on March 4th, 2009, that if I encounter a spammer and lose twice in a row, my Brawl disc will be shattered to peices and I will have photographic proof. This will remain in my sig until said event happens.

He may be slow but at least he attacked faster than Xu Zhu and Pang De. He has a very useful moveset and he is a walking tank with great defense and attack. All he needed before was a little range but his DW5 moveset makes it to wear range is no longer an issue because his C4, C5, and C6 cover a huge area. In short Dian Wei always has and always will rock to me! B)

On-topic: I forgot to say his new look and weapon are cool, so im not upset in any way about his change in DW6, just hope is uses that weapon well and not have some weird moveset/musou/or special attack.

I like how you play as him and he lives through the story modes. DW5 is an example. Him fighting Liu Bei in the escape of Chi Bi. Liu Bei says something around the lines, ''I shall fight for the people!'' Dian Wei comes and says, ''Just save me the melodrama and die already!'' I love everything about him Dian Wei!

I hated his new weapon at first in DW6 until I got his renbu upgraded. I find it to be rather amusing how Zhang Liao gets two halberds which is supposedly what Dian Wei should have but has never had them yet.

He is always shown in pictures with his Stike Axe, why not Bull? (Mad Bull would never be shown due to it is a 4th weapon unfortunatly...)

If anything, I only hope that they give his s-string more range in the future. It starts of pretty small and eventually gets better. And my God, is he strong. Easily my 2nd favorite Wei character.

I really liked his new design and was so excited to use the ball & chain weapon. Then I played as him and I thought he was complete rubbish. That is until I got him a skill weapon and unlocked his infinite renbu skill. He becomes so insanely fun to use. Also the super farts are awesome XD I lol'd so hard when I first saw his musou.

However, he sure saved my poor behind in DW 4...In the Wei stage where Lu Bu is trying his darnedest to assassinate Cao Cao, I was getting royally owned by Lu Bu. Cao was merely standing there, taking hits. As Cao's about to take his last hit (I couldn't see any HP in my bar, but I was somehow alive.), Dian Wei swoops in outta nowhere and takes out at least half of Lu Bu's HP. Thanks, man.

I think Dian Wei is the pathetic character in DW. He died so young to protect Cao Cao. He is the honorable warrior indeed! His ending in DW5 is cool. He rocks!!!

Through Light, Through Darkness Posts: 1,331 Group: Moderators Member #11,841 Joined: December 12, 2007 Gender Male	I'll say it once, Dian Wei has one of the most fun Movesets in the game... the way he swings that axe around is fairly effective in battle and his attack speed is average, his only folly being his slow running speed, I really like his C3, C4 and C5, all of which are amazing moves As far as personallity goes, he is a very simple man who just wants to protect his lord Cao Cao evident in the stage of Wan Castle which costs his life, but when you play as him, he still goes around protecting Cao Cao (DW5 Ending ) which is really quite astounding... anyways, hes a good character in all...
