Well I surprisingly like her more than I did before. I didn't mind her in DW5 but in WO I was seriously put off her. After seeing her fairy like design and bow and hearing her new voice I thought she would be rubbish but I was wrong. Her moveset is good, excellent for crowdclearing. I have got used to the look and voice but it took time. Her story was quite interesting, better than in DW5 IMO. Fighting for Shu for a while was certainly different. She's probably my second favourite female now behind Zhen Ji.

Sun Shang Xiang reminds me of a freakin' elf or shall I say clown now with the clothes and the annoying voice. She has become one of my least favorite characters again. Her moveset is good and all but her weapon is just too easy and cheap to use in battle, making the challenge modes no fun for online ranking when you got about 80 other SSXs hogging the damn leaderboards. I prefer the old SSX with the chakrams and mature voice that she had always had. |

I agree. But I'm not the biggest Sun Shang Xiang fan regarding the book. But game wise I'll still like her. |

She was the best in previous games. She had an awesome moveset and always looked super smexy in her tight outfit. But they ruined her look in DW6 by making her a fairy and giving her an annoying voice to go with it. The bow moveset was pretty good though, but I want the old SSX back. She has now dropped down from being my favorite female, that title now sits with Yue Ying. |

WTH? are you on about the tambourines or tenno's pic? just so ya know I came up with her in SC3!! anyway, Sun Shang is best in DW4 when she is a loyal Sun member (forget DW6 fluff) and had the best voice! |

if KOEI had left her tomboyish and kept her previous type of VA and given her the Bow MS, that would've been the best, IMO. it's one of the best things about DW6, and unless KOEI gave it to Huang Zhong or Xiahou Yuan, it would be a real waste. i'm not a big fan of the Chakrams. |

presumably, historically SSX was skilled at all weapons, particularly with the bow, and historically Huang Zhong or Xiahou Yuan have no particular association to the bow at all. Lu Bu was to be considered the most renowned bow-man of the age. since the DW6 weapons are a bit less fanciful, perhaps this offers some explanation. |

and what exactly about the bow is it that makes you so unhappy? Ina has a bow in SW, and both of the afore-mentioned men use the bow as their secondary moveset. i quite ENJOY the DW6 bow MS, one of the real advancements in that game. |

I can't stand her voice in DW6 especially interacting with Liu Bei, Sun Ce, Sun Quan ,Sun Jian, and Zhou Yu. I wish her old VA voiced her again <_< |

her english voice in DW6 was...TERRIBLE. Michelle Ruff's voice suit her more. I wish SSX hold this weapon in the future :lol:

Wat are u talking about, Huang Zhong's skill with a bow was renown, and the same with Xiahou Yuan. Cao Cao once said to Xiahou En after En showed a great display of archery that he could be compared to the greatness of Xiahou Yuan.... And Huang Zhong is DEFFINATELY known for his bow. Several times both Yuan and Zhong had killed several men at once with arrows. |

You are mainly talking in the sense of the novel I believe LSQ. foomin is a real history buff and he takes alot of his knowledge from actual history rather than the embellishments of the novel. SSX fancied the bow a bit more, thats why it fits her to have it in the game now. There were actual warriors who were more known for bow usage like Lu Bu as foomin said. But Cao Ren and even Dong Zhuo were considered fairly skilled as well. |

Novel based, the most praised archer is Huang Zhong. Xiahou Yuan gets some praise as well, but not too much more than other Wei officers like Cao Ren, Zhang He, Xu Huang, etc. Historically, Taishi Ci was likely the best archer, followed by Lu Bu. As to why SSX gets the bow, it's due to her being known as "Bow Princess" in various forms of Chinese culture.(Literature, operas, etc.) |
