She has strong will and she has a courage to fight a man in DW series. I like her looks in all DW series except in 3. In my opinion, her DW3 outfit doesn't attract the gamers because of its fashion design and too much red. Her outfit in DW6 is very beautiful and nice in colour but it makes her less tomboy.

I've heard the monkey is an odd one, but the wife, she's a whole new level of crazy. Posts: 1,473 Group: Members Member #16,134 Joined: June 14, 2008 Gender Male	I really fell in love with her since her weapons reminded me of Xena:Warrior Princess, so i was all like "oh she is a tough girl", i was wrong but i liked her tomboy-ish personality, and her sad ending in DW5 was nice. BUT, we i saw her in DW6 i thought she said "Hey, i feel like going to battle using a bow and dressing as a pixie", i though the bow was a horrible idea, but apparently she ended up being one of the most broken character in game :XD. Now if only she had a better costume, she would be awesome...

The wind and fire wheels were excellent but I'm glad they made a change to the bow. It fits her very well. Her outfits have always been unique but the flower outfit had me worried until I played the game. Overall I love Sun Shang Xiang! Plus her relationship with Liu Bei is so juicy!

It was on the koei tokyo gameshow site. It was on a online game koei is working on. (Don't know the name) If you look a her from 4 up you can see the flower influence there.

The only thing that I resent is her musou story - too focused and lovey-dovey with Liu Bei, and I really dislike how she treated Liu Bei much over her own home country, even that she barely hesitated to kill her own brother, Sun Quan. I much more prefer her story in DW5, which really describes and reflects her personality.

Smashtastic. Posts: 165 Group: Members Member #17,967 Joined: September 1, 2008 Gender Male	Sun Shang Xiang is excellent in Dynasty Warriors 6. Her strong charge attack tears down any structure in tree hits at most! The normally hard-to-break conveyor belt gate at He Fei Castle was no match for Shang Xiang's bow. In past games, she really didn't stand out to me. Well, really, not to seem prejudice or anything, but I barely played any female characters. But, now Shang Xiang has a better moveset [especially during Infinite Renbu] than most every other character. Her Musou ending is more powerful, and definitely more wide-ranged than Yue Ying's, but I still wish her Horse charge attack did more damage. Voice-wise, KOEI screwed her up. It matched her model, but it wasn't the mature Sun Shang Xiang I was looking forward to. Costume-wise, yeah, she had an adequate redesign.

First Lieutenant Posts: 166 Group: Members Member #18,265 Joined: September 13, 2008	Well, since her Japanese voice didn't change, her new look in DW6 actually suited that sometimes-too-high-pitched voice of hers. Yeah, I was also surprised when she ended up on Shu's side at Yiling. Still, Liu Bei did his stuff, and the siblings go to He Fei Castle to sort out Cao Cao. Moveset-wise, bows can be a wee bit problematic at close range. And of course, that skill which improves the chance of winning weapon locks is useless with her. Still, at Infinite Renbu, my mind bends a little whenever she hits the floor with her ankle stomp. Sandals aren't built for such moves, are they?

I don't remember what bow I was using...I think it was Madder Rose. I ran up to the first general and started shooting at him, he tried to cut me then it happened. It hasn't happened to me much afterwards though...I'd say about 8 more times. I also noticed that when she kicks during her renbu and if an general times it right it will happen. Its most likely to happen when playing on chaos. Edit: I just did it a second ago. She shots them once, then turns her back and shots them again and one more time.(For those who haven't seen it.) Yes she didn't state that she was a girl as much as she did in 6 the in previous titles but It doesn't seem that bad. I wish she would say woman instead of girl though. If they fix her age like it was in previous DW then maybe everything will be alright.

Her voice doesn't fit with her tomboyishness, or her costume, and her chakrams were so much more unique and cool. Like Zhen Ji's flute. So. Yeaaahhh. She was the first character I played as though, and that was in DW6. (Yes, that was the firs tone I ever played. xDD) And even if it was in DW6, I like the 5 one better. >->;;

Either that or have her take Yue Ying's weapon, and let Yue Ying have a different Weapon Personally-That, I did not like about her. Voice-Toooo high pitched. Keep it down a bit. Outfit-Hated her outfit. What happened to the tomboy look? She's pretty much the only tomboy in Dynasty Warriors.
