Title: Sinking
Comment: This is part one of 2. I will add in the 2nd part as soon as I get the cramp out of my thumb. Writing a fic on my handphone is not a good idea...

Title: Sinking.
Character: Sun Ce’s POV
Comment: Before his release from his cell, Sun Ce was a POW under Orochi. This is his thoughts while being in the cell.

The cell was dark, damp and smelt worse than those snake men he fought those days ago. How many days has it been? The darkness pervades his mind, amusing itself with his internal clock. What he thought was day could be night, what he thought was an hour could be minutes or even a day. Was he awake? Was his eyes even open? It was hard to tell.

The solid black reached out as far as he could reach, and even then, it wasn't that far being attached to the wall with heavy cuffs and chains. He was no stranger to losing and dungeons, but nothing was this torturous. The silence itself was deafening. Neither the wind nor any shuffling of rats was heard. Nothing. He would clang his chains just to hear something, anything. But nothing answered back except for the echoes that voiced his despair.

His mind wandered a lot those days. He thought of his brother, Quan. Where was he? Quan had followed him along one of his campaigns, only to be sucked along with him to this other world. They had fought together, their numbers against the huge and inhuman army.

As the battle progressed, they'd lost track of each other, too engrossed in saving their own lives. And Zhou Yu. He was just close by when he was knocked out. Where was he? His sister. Was Shang Xiang also involved in this? She was back at the castle with the Qiaos. They couldn't be involved. His brother, his sister, Da Qiao, Xiao Qiao and Zhou Yu. He hoped they were alive. No! They must be alive, they must! His thoughts tired him, but sleep wasn't that easy either.

Nightmares haunt him. Visions of his brother pleading for help while being cruelly tortured by those snake people. They asked no questions, continuing on their merciless ministrations cutting, burning yet keeping him alive, awake and aware.

He saw his sister, his wife and his best friend over and over again. Test subjects for cruel experiments, bleeding their life's blood to the filthy beings, he heard their screams and whimpers, their begging, their plea and desperation. He gritted his teeth in frustration and anger, angry at the visions yet unable to do anything.

Then, he saw them. Those visions that struck deep into his heart. It was as if he felt the disconnection. One by one, their voices died out their faces flashed by: cold, lifeless and empty eyes stared back at him. He could almost hear their accusations for not being there for them. He tried to answer back but his voice didn't work.

"Ce, I'm disappointed in you...," the familiar voice came from the depths of his mind.

“F-father…?” He stammered out. He tried reaching towards the voice but all her grabbed was air. “What…,” The desperation was thick in his voice.

“Quan, Shang Xiang… You were supposed to protect them,” The voice came again. The pause weighed down on him. “I’m very disappointed in you, Ce.”

“Father…,” Sun Ce stammered out. “I- I’m sorry… So very sorry…” he sobbed out as he sank deeper into the darkness.
