We're drowning in information and starving for knowledge Posts: 172 Group: Members Member #17,622 Joined: August 18, 2008	All of the ones I've played are excellent games, but to be honest I've only played Dynasty Warriors, Musou Orochi which I prefer for stress relief and easy customizability (weapon fusion rocks, as does the easily-navigated musou modes), Bladestorm which is a good strategy/tactical action game, and Gundam Musou which I played a demo of and it seemed like a 'robot' version of Dynasty Warriors and seemed pretty cool despite the fact that I couldn't actually sample most of what the game supposedly has to offer.
	I've gotta break out, I need a way out, I don't believe it's gotta be this way, The worst is the way that In this room I'm suffocating --Skillet, Rebirthing Front Mission fan and supporter of the Front Mission 5: Scars of War fan translation project. Writer on Fiction Press, Fan Fiction.

DW because it has more characters to play with and also has more VS modes. SW because there are better items to get e.g get the horses and also it has better system. So both have good qualities.

Thank you! Anyway, for me for it will probably remain Kessen because it's their only popular series they haven't milked continuously... >_> Even though I would rejoice the coming of a new one.

SW and the others are really good series and fun and all but DW has a special place in my heart and always will. I think the characters are all great and have interesting personalities.Hope Koei keeps coming out with DW forever.

The Storyline (in my opinion) is better than that of the other Koei games, mainly because it based around one of my favourite books of all time . I think the cast of Dynasty Warriors are far more easily understood than thoses of other games, for example Liu Bei Fights for virtue and to restore the han in most games he has appeard in compared with Nobunaga Oda who is continually changed from an evil 'demon lord' in SW to the freindly Nobunaga in Kessen III. Anyhoo overall I think DW is the best Koei branch out there at the moment. But Samurai Warriors 3 is looking very imoressive so far

I thought you meant the Japan, US and Europe branches of KOEI not the series of games made by them. It should be franchises then, not branches. Either way I picked DW. I like SW too, but the Three Kingdoms period is a lot more interesting IMO(at least until KOEI adds Matsunaga Hisahide and Mouri Motonari to SW).

Dynasty Warriors (Shin Sangokumusou) was so innovative. That's not exactly it's reputation nowadays, but it's still my favorite Koei series, even though they did a DW/SW collaboration in Warriors Orochi, which combined two awesome series. As cool as WO is, Dynasty Warriors is Koei's most famous franchise, and yes, the music is totally awesome! Forget the third poster!

I like the Orochi series, but overall I think Samurai Warriors is the best. I like the history of that period and Koei has done a great job creating a game based upon that. SW2 IMHO has more depth and better gameplay than DW or WO, it sets the standard for the Warriors series of games. I would love to see a "Samurai Tactics" game along the same premise of Dynasty Tactics 2.
