First Lieutenant Posts: 134 Group: Members Member #12,380 Joined: January 2, 2008	Yeah he is a touch slow, but only when starting up, once he starts getting into the combo strings he starts to get much faster. For some reason though I still say his ordinary jumping attack manages to wipe the floor with almost anyone simply hop, blast, hop, blast, hop, blast and repeat ad-infinitum until dead. The fact that its got a very decent range around him helps along with the auto-fire attachment on the attack which helps out if the opponent somehow gets out of the jumping fire pattern.

He's just mind numbingly strong without having to have a serious amount of powerups or good weapon bonuses. Not to mention his moveset is very effective, especially his C1. I can only hope that he gets even better on the sequel or that whoever this new villain is, is someone close in comparison. Same goes for Fu and Nu.

Scottish Samurai Posts: 713 Group: Members Member #12,998 Joined: January 31, 2008	Im a fan of orochi, he even comes across as a powerful character long before you soup him up and get him his 4th weapon - speaking of which really suits him to the t. He has a good look (cept the hat/crown thing) and a joy to play if you enjoy sweeping aside horders of enemy troops. In fact my only complaint is no matter how hard i try i cant seem to hit anyone with his R1 (if only it was a multi HORIZONTAL attack and not a vertical one then it would be best in the game)

Orochi likes to play Marvel vs Capcom xD Yes he does enjoy playing that game As do I (yay for Servbot. yaaaay!... ahem) His C1 and Jumping Charge are all good but the end of the C1 isnt too great and leaves Orochi wide open (the electric pieces he throws out at the end). His 4th weapon does indeed rock the world and I dont mind the hat that much XD His 2nd model however seems pretty similar to his other one though with little colour difference. Erm... Im not totally sure theres that much else to say about him now so ill hop, skip and jump away :lol:

I don't like his C2 and 3. Could get annoying sometimes.

I merged your last post with the previous one. Thank you. On-topic: The only thing I would change about Orochi is his R1 attack. Such a pointless and ineffective attack for such a strong character.

His R1 has a very small chance at hitting.I was after some random Generic Officer,and I thought:''Let's try a R1 on this son of a *****.''.I pressed R1 like 3-5 times.No hits. The R1 looks nice.But is Crappy.That's IMO the only change that has to be done on Orochi.He is a steady allrounder,and his jump+T is really powerful.

Like I'm finding out now, if Okuni had a decent musou, she'd be a high level character. But the evilness of his C1 and JC have been overstated that they dont need mentioning. His musou can be really brutal with Air on his weapon. And with that invincibilty on the first hit of his string, its like he has a built in counter to random hits. And he probably get the most out of Drain than any character. "As feeble as he was fat..." :lol: Classic

Dragon of Chaos Posts: 325 Group: Members Member #9,283 Joined: August 19, 2007	Orochi.... everything about him was good, the only think I hated was that he didn't have many roles as he only occurred right at the end of the stories. One more thing was his R1 move a mean come on, you couldn't even hit a single person <_< well if ur lucky then u might but it will be hard.... I think his R1 should be like this but a different attack move would do instead of hitting one person.. if u know what i mean.... The rest was good....his voice, movesets and the charge attacks was done perfectly also the weapon scythe fits him perfectly as it is one of the unique weapon in the game

Use Kanetsugu w/ his ranged flying needle and... Orochi fast die (remember taking gold dragon and jar orange, i mean imp seal and wine )

He also jumps around during his C4, making it hard to control. His C3 is good to freeze opponents, but that's it. There are no elements attached to it. His R1 is lame. Looks cool, but ineffective. Maybe they should make Orochi's clones do a C1 instead C1...now that's the only good attack he has, along with his jump attacks (kinda reminds me of Goemon, also has a good jump attack )

So his R1 was improved, makes using him more worthwhile. Anyways, I think Orochi's moveset lacks charge attacks that actually activate elements due to his auto-elemental attacks which isn't good, his C1 and jump-charge are really something, spammable even, his C1 ain't that great and his C4 is hard to control leaving his C3 as the only other reliable charge attack. Overall, a good character, but not something really amazing, like his voice though. :lol:
