Most amazingly I didn't see a topic about the awesomeness that is Honda on here.
 I think he's great. He's a great leader, fiersome fighter, and a true model of the samurai. What do you guys think?

I'm going to assume you're talking about his voice in English which does sound slightly German. If not, then no offense but you've got some serious catching up to do.

Honda I feel is one of the best in the game, and one of my preferred characters to use along side Sakon. He offers an excellent attack rating coupled with first class range. Some of his attack string moves are amazing; there is one I use often which results in a massive wave attacked forth from his spear, C5 or something perhaps but when I use him I abuse that move often. I also really enjoy his Musou restoration move, where he uses a few slow attacking swings followed by a stomp "I'm Tadakatsu!" which results in a fast boost to your Musou gauge; with or without hitting an opponent. You can have Musou available just about all the time by topping this up when needed. To me it makes him not just a powerful and high range character, but one you can also use defensively when needed. |

i agree with you sakon in this one, his moveset is brillient, and his specials for SW2, but i love his special for orochi, its so cool, its devestating, its fun to use, and also, he looks cool, and his weapon is great, his tonbo-giri, his 4th weapon, looks absolutely awsome, and it can do a bit of damage, especially when given the right stats. Oh, and i do sorta agree about him sounding sorta german :lol: :lol: |

I feel insulted by the description of this topic
 He is debatable the Lu Bu of SW, but so is Keiji. Noone is even close to Lu Bu difficulty though (except Yukimura in Ueda, oddly :mellow:) Thats the only level I've struggled with, in Hard difficulty with a maxed out character.  (Hanzo's weapon was hard -_-)He is alright, I use him quite a bit, but he isn't as good as everyone says IMO. Sure his level 3 Musou is good, and his moveset is okay, but still, everyone says hes the best. I think Keiji is better, which is why I dislike the description of this topic I won't say why I think Keiji is better, since this isn't about the 2 of them though. Its only about Tadakatsu. He is a good character, but he is not the best. I can name several with better movesets, and 1 stronger. Anyone even quite fast can defeat him with ease (well charge types especially) |

Yeah I agree Keiji is way better to go as than Tadakatsu imo. I just dont think that Tadakatsu is all he is cracked up to be I mean he is supposed to be the Lu Bu of samurai warriors but I find that Lu Bu far better and always will be |

Hmmm... I see some Honda haters have posted
Well I'll post why I think Honda is better. Charge attack wise Honda is better. His cover just as much ground and are deal just as much damage with the added bonus that his C4 is very long. Musou attack Keiji wins. Mounted Honda is better. Attack power technically Keiji but after playing both back to back I really don't see a difference in the amount of damage done. And one of the most important things, Honda has his own theme music. And just like Lu Bu most of the time he is either generally much stronger than the rest of his team, or he is charged up.

One of the most important things as well. Keiji has his own horse He is generally strongerthan the rest of his force as well, or charged up. You don't fight him as often, which is why people seem to neglect that. He isn't powered up in Honda's dream, but other than that I can't name any. Back to Honda though... Honda has a better C4, I agree, though Keiji's is very useful. Keiji's C3 is one of my favorites though. Start wth the backhand to stun them, and then hit them for massive damage then massive crowdclearer, awesome. The C2 is about equal for both IMO. Neither are especially good or bad. |

That I have to agree with. I don't use his s-string very often. @ Sanada: Yeah Honda's C3 does the same thing. First hit stunds a large crowd, 2nd hit can break guards, and of course the 3rd is the massive shockwave that can murder fallen opponents or standing ones. |

Exactly. everything is fine. Not good, or excelent like everyone says :rolleyes: Also, @gtown: Honda's C3 I find a bit less useful though. He moves about too much during it. |

The fact that he can move is one of the best parts to me. You can aim it just right if you're any good. And as far as the title I think it's pretty obvious that Koei sees Honda as Lu Bu's SW equivalent otherwise it would have been Keiji on the cover fighting Lu Bu. |

But, why would Keiji be with Lu Bu, on Orochi's side, as one of Da Ji's great weapons in the Shu campaign, along with Lu Bu. Them being on the same side, proves as much as Tadakatsu fighting Lu Bu in every battle. The fact they are on the same side means they can't be fighting on the cover really though :rolleyes: Technically I think there is no Lu Bu equivelent. He is much harder than anyone else in DW, but in SW everyone is pretty easy. That is why Lu Bu got a new theme song, but Tadakatsu didn't

I have never had any trouble against him, because his speed is quite slow. The hardest in Chaos is probably either Yukimura in Ueda, or Tadakatsu in Keiji's dream, but dream stages are always the hardest. I actually found him extremly easy last time I did Chaos in it with Keiji. He didn't even have all skills maxed (I did it seeing if Honda would have Master 3 :rolleyes:) |

Well what character you picked makes a lot of difference. IF you pick Keiji and have any kind of skill with him then any stage on any difficulty will be much easier. But I have never been beaten worse by Tadakatsu than any other character. I promise, while I was laying Chaos mode on empires with Musashi, I put Honda on the stage just to see how tough he would be. He killed me with his running attack. One hit, no bull s**t. I've only had that happen to me against Lu Bu when playing with an under leveled character. Keiji got me into red with one hit, but Honda killed me. |

What did he do to Keiji. Do you mean his ending on SW:XL where he kills Keiji. And although Koei sees him as the SW Lu Bu I personally think they split up Lu Bu and Guan Yu's traits and mixed them in Keiji and Tadakatsu. Honda is the "honorable" warrior who fights for the greater good. Keiji is the "wild" warrior who fights for the sake of fighting. |

Tadakatsu is one of my faves, he's a great character. His SST moves are amazing to use as a crowd-clearer or genral killer. At level 50, he also had massive attack, 200! |

Can't stand his personality. My might cannot be matched! His moveset seems so damn clumsy, no skill seems to be in it except his C4 where he spins it. Sooo overrated. He is the one guy next to Ieyasu i would kill if i had the chance. |
