I love his personality and his dedication to bring peace to the land even if it means to betray his lord. I loved his totally historically accurate romantic triangle with ranmaru and nobunaga  But i dont know, everytime i play as him or agaisnt him i just see him as your typical japanese dude with a katana.

Well its a long story about how he became my fav character. I drew a portrait on photoshop of a japanese guy with long hair, and when showed it t my friends one of them said he looks very much like Akechi Mitsuhide from Samurai warriors, i was like SAMURAI!!???
 ooo i wanna see him and this SW thing (i didnt know it was a game though) n when i saw the character i liked him from first time coz he was kinda of my style (espessially the hair o.O i love long hair on people :D) and from him i found out about koei and became a fan of it as well
 and joined u guys XDBut now im a big fan of Mitsuhide after reading his biography, he's pretty much like me i'll say XD :lol: it's a bit funny though, and i got an inspiration from him to fight xD |

well i think he was with ranmaru in sw1 because in Jap. version ranmaru is a girl, he looked more like a girl and was a woman was voicing her, whereas in SW2 he looks more like a boy and is bigger and more muscly like a boy

One, don't double post, edit them if you anything to add. Two, Ranmaru was a guy in both versions. It is a very common practice for young males to be voiced by females, in both Japanese and English. |

Just a question to those who've played Mitsuhide in SW1: Do you have any problems with his C4? I can't seem to execute (wrong context?) it. It just keeps doing his S-string after I hit T. Edited by Silvy, Nov 17 2008, 10:41 PM.

Mitsuhide is a good character. He has good Sword moves and better clothes at SW2. But better voice at SW1. |

I would have liked him to be more historically correct in personality, his current personality annoys me a lot. His moveset rocks, though. Um... as far as I know, Ranmaru and Mitsuhide hated eachother as far as history goes, and Nobunaga's only really known romance was with Lady Ikeda, who he fell head-over-heels for. He might have had a sexual relationship with Ranmaru, but that was a tradition- he had a shudo relationship with 4 other Samurai, one of them Toshiie Maeda. Edited by RWB, Apr 20 2009, 04:20 PM.

LOL, I liked all the angsty drama between Nobunaga, Ran, and Mitsu in SW1. I don't care if it wasn't accurate. It was... compelling! I'd like to see it brought back. I don't even really care for Mitsuhide in SW2 either, it's like he could never decide whether killing Nobu was the right thing to do, but in SW1 he was a lot more certain and sure of his actions. He also just seemed emo and boring in 2. (In response to the quote) Nobunaga, that pimp! I knew about Ranmaru, but there were others? I guess conquering Japan wasn't the only thing that kept him busy...  Haha, well just remember guys we are talking about the game characters here and not their historical counterparts.  Feel free to discuss more in the history section though. Probably a better atmosphere for that. |

I like Mitsuhide better than everyone in SW (except maybe Date) simply cuz he's the only one who actually looks like a samurai and has a katana in a game called SW |

I like Mitsuhide also, as I like the story between him and Nobunaga which is central to the whole game. Other than that he's a pretty bland character though, especially in terms of moveset. |

Mitsuhide is the reason even though I wasn't originally entirely enamored of SW1, I stuck with it and fell in love with him. Koei has the opportunity to expand on his character more, and I hope they do. :3 |

His VA in SW2 is average, but serene and skillful nonetheless. This is what makes him okay. I love his moveset, but his C2 is really lame, and it only serves to leave you open to everyone around you if your opponent blocks. That can be a ***** in Hard or Chaos. |

He's my favorite character from SW2. I love his moveset. His personality in the game was kinda weird. By the way, would anybody want to see Mitsuhide older than Nobunaga cause he was older than Nobunaga about 6 years or sumthin. |

Yeah, you are right. In every game (SW, Kessen III, NA) Koei always make Mitsuhide look younger than Nobunaga. |

I also think facial hair will make Mitsuhide and his moveset look weird, again my opinion So, bottom line- keep Mitsuhide young.
