I noticed that Yuan Shao doesn't have his own topic, and so I decided to create one. He is one of my favorite "Other" characters. His moveset's okay, but his true musou and him saying "You dare incur my wrath?!" makes it. This time around he looks very, very different! |

I don't really like Yuan Shao, bad moveset, bad personality, bad ruler. Everything about him is bad. Hope he has a DRAMATIC change in his DW6 appearance. |

His moveset is pants, and his musou is bland. BUT I LOVE YUAN SHAO! He just makes me laugh sooo much I can't help but love him XD I love the way he's so daft, looking down on everyone but being such a dimwit too. And in WO when he's all "you mistook ME for that PEASANT?!" and "I know you are all overwhelmed by this honour"... I laughed my arse off XD I love the way he's so oblivious to how much everyone hates and doesn't care about him! But yeah. He is looking really, really nice in DW6 >>...<<... he looks much more of a serious character now. Hopefully he is, and perhaps more competent too. I'd like it if he and Cao Cao were more serious in their relationship rather than Cao Cao just turning up one day saying "you know, I knew Yuan Shao once. His beard was longer back then. He's such a dork. SMASH HIM, XIAHOU DUN!" |

how can you say his move set is bad his move set is similar to sun jian, sun quan, liu bei and dong zhou they all also have similar musou except at the end so yeah i think yuan shao moveset is really good but i think cao cao moveset is better |

Don't like Dong Zhuo's moveset either, and am not very impressed by Sun Jian's, Quan's or Liu Bei's so... yeah, it's a bad moveset. Only one attack is worth using, and that's the same charge Cao Cao/Liu Bei/Sun Jian/Dong Zhuo/Yuan Shao all share. Cao Cao's moveset > other sword users. "Really good" is an overstatement, "really bad" is an overstatement too. It's just bland. It's okay. It's average. Nothing special, nothing to particularly complain about. |

I agree and what made him worse is his storyline in Warriors Orochi but aside from that, his moveset isn't similar to any of the other rulers that were listed. He is the worse crowd clear in the game. At least with the other rulers, they have a chance to wipe out enemies from around them. The only useful move that Yuan has is his C6, everything else just doesn't seem to help much. In my opinion, I just dislike Yuan Shao personality wise and lack of moves to share. :x |

He refers to himself as "the honorable" Yuan Shao, so I guess so. He wants to save the Han until his DW5 ending, in which he seeks to bulid his own empire; I kinda saw that coming.  His new look is cool, but it was really shocking. At first I thought it was Yuan Shu, because of the thinner face, because I'm use to Yuan Shao having a big beard and wearing and wearing more armour (like a helmet) and stuff. The long white hair and crown-like thing, is a nice add-on. |

Yuan Shao... I like his appearance fairly enough. Move-set not that bad either. Musou = generic. The rest of him I can't stand. They really turned him into a conceded man on DW and really ignorant. |

I dont really like him that much. His moveset is ok but nothing special. I sure hope its better in DW6. I do find him very funny however which is the only thing I like about him. Its the way he constantly talks about himself and 'the honour of the Yuan family'
 I thought he was especially funny in WO. I have heard a little bit of his new voice and I cant say I like it, I find his old one better

I guess it depends on what you mean by old. His voice sounds exactly the same to me. From DW5 - WO. But DW4 it's another voicing. I always liked his DW4 voice, I always felt as it suited him the best. |

I only have DW5 and WO so thats the one I meant. I think his DW6 one doesnt really get his arrogance across like it did in DW5 but I have only heard a little so I may be wrong

Zhang He I have a similar(though not as gay) opinion on him(dw3 wise). lololololol :lol: :lol: honestly, his dw5 charge attack is really crude, NANMAN MENGHUO uses it(the crawl like a dog thing) he really sucked in dw4, still kindof suck in dw5, in dw6, he got lucky to get a good look and moveset because hes a clone of caopi ans sunquan. he owns in dw6, finally flipped over from the worst to one of my top 10. |

"Insolence!" Yuan Shao is my favorite "Other" character, and is in my top 10. I just love his arrogance. He's so arrogant that he doesn't even realize it. He thinks that everyone else thinks just as highly of him as he does of himself. I LOVE that kind of cockiness. His VA from DW3 was terrible, but it grew on me when I was playing his musou mode. His DW4-DW5 VA is awsome, though the lines were better delivered in DW5. I've only heard him say 1 sentence in DW6, so I can't judge him from just that. I will say though that I'm disappointed that his DW5 VA didn't return. I generally enjoy his attires from all the games. I love his DW3 attire, his helmet especially. I enjoyed his DW4 attire, but it's my least favorite of all of them. I love his whole "military ruler" DW5 costume, and I'm glad they gave him a bigger point on his helmet. I hated his DW6 appearance at first, but it's growing on me as time goes by. I dislike that they took away his pointy helmet, but he has the whole "elegant ruler" thing going on and it suits him. I also enjoy his moveset. His C1 isn't the best, but it's fun to use. His C3 is great, His C4 is great when in the right situation, and his C5 & C6 are amazing. His musou isn't the most original, but it gets the job done nonetheless. I loved his DW3 Story. I love all of the "Other" characters' stories in DW4, those "Campaign Against [Ruler name here]" battles were some of my favorite from that game. I like his DW5 story, the Battle of Chang Shan and the Battle of Ji Province are 2 of my favorites. Not to mention that the Battle of Guan Du is my 2nd favorite battle in DW4, and is in my top 3 in DW5. I can't wait to play it in DW6. |

Erk... Yuan Shao to be honest is a bit boring design and move-wise... Well XD Apart from his C1 which is the most oddball charge move that could have been given to him? (Doesnt Meng Huo also have this same move? lol) |
