In case anyone is interested, I put up the first scenario map online with Google Maps functionality:
http://maplib.net/map.php?id=2557

This map allows you to put markers on the map that everyone else can see, and this will make it easier to say where things are taking place in everyone's games, what fief has a certain bonus, names of Daimyos, etc. I would think it's a good idea to keep details specific to an individual game out of this and any other map for each scenario, but if anyone wants to create their own map based on their game then by all means do so and then I can add it to this Koei map collection.

I'll add other scenario maps later.

Finally, I've gotten around to playing the Mori. Started in 1553 AD so the vassalage with Ouchi is already cut-off. Now, to spread the genius of Mori across the land!

By the way, has anyone noticed how damn good some of the leftovers from the time just after the Onin War up to early Sengoku era are? The likes of Yoshitaka Ouchi, Soteki Asakura, Nobutora Takeda, Tanemune Date, Sadamitsu Usami, Tadayoshi Shimazu... all have stats in the high 80s/90s.

1up gave this game 8.5 and at least it seem like they spend time to play it before review.

But after play too much 12, I notice officers stats from 11 to 12 change rather dramatically, like Kenshin in 12 has 120 and 110 in his stats

Weeks.

Taking a break from my Mori game(have unified most of Chugoku and Kyushu, with the likes of Shimazu and Akamatsu as vassals) to do a game as the Kitabatake in Ise. Managed to pick up quite the evil posse: Yoshitatsu Saito, Hisahide Matsunaga, Yoshikata Rokkaku... also picked up Yoshitaka Kuki and stole Hideyoshi from Nobunaga. Since I have both Yoshitatsu and Hisahide, Dosan Saito and Shogun Yoshiteru are still alive at the moment.

I got the game a while ago, I'm surprised I'm still not done with my first story. Then again when playing as Nobunaga at 1551 you'll be going through many enemies at once. The event where Akechi Mitsuhide tries to start his rebellion, I was able to stop that by taking the suspicious rout. Almost 30 years later into the start of the game I managed to successfully take almost the whole west, but then Nobunaga's son came to age Oda Nobukatsu he starts a powerful rebellion taking halve of my men/officers/land/ And much more. Right now I am mad as ever. Shibata Katsuie, Asai Nagamasa, and much more I've lost. Any advice?

Here is a post of mine from another forum. Still stuck on several parts, but have advance somewhat further.

I'm bad at waging war. Everytime I set the comands to Auto, especailly at the Field battles! Seiging battles I can do though.

Currently, I play as the Tokugawa. Taking advantage of my being a vassal to the Oda, I've conquered all the lands belonging to the Hojo, destroyed the Chiba and killed the Takeda off. I currently have 12 provinces (more than Oda does =P) and have gotten some pretty good officers so far (Hojo Soun, who gave me mini headaches with his Confuse skill, Masakage Yamagata, who pawned me early in the game with his !@#$ calvalry, and Hojo Tsuna-something. I can't believe so many of the Hojos were that good!).

The people who I always take into war and their troops:

Ieyasu : 2000 muskets (simply becasue I don't have anyone else with good LDR and Volley)
Tadakatsu: 1800 calvalry (remember,: Honda, the Power of Dreams)
Naomasa Ii: 1800 calvalry (My Lanbourgini. Give him calvalry and watch him zoom across the map. I destroyed all the barracks and quarters at the Takeda main base using him, and managed to escape 4 people trying to hunt me down by running to one part of the map and back.)
Tadatsugu Sakai: 1800 muskets (My only shooting man!!)
Masanori Hattori: 1600 infantry (My demolisher, and my personal nin nin)
Nobuyasu Matsudaira: 1400 calvalry (He's alright, but I might swap him with hojo Soun.)
And some other guys whos' names elude me at the moment..

Quite a fun game, though it gets very annoying trying to kill the major powers (Hojo and Takeda...). Masayuki Sanada and sons were among the most annoying of all, as well as Hojo Soun and Hojo Tsuna-something, I think it's Tsunashige.

Now, the Oda's ordered me to help them take down the Uesugi. Note in my game there are two Uesugi's, one's Kenshins's and the other's his son's. Seems someone didn't like Daddy;s plans, and split off the uesugi lands into two...I'm targeting uesugi the Junior.
Sayonara...

Finally decided to ditch my Kasai game in NA in favor of Clan Stupid, aka the Amago. I don't mean stupid in quality, I mean literally stupid! Haruhisa the daimyo is the smartest of the Amago family and he has only 32 Intelligence!

Name - Political/Leadership/Intelligence/Charisma
Haruhisa - 59/57/32/71
Kunihisa - 23/84/16/22
Masahisa - 9/80/7/13
Yoshihisa - 25/18/19/56
Katsuhisa - 28/44/18/63

Katsuhisa really deserves better stats than that, IMO. There's no way he's more stupid than Yoshihisa. Good thing with all the training options in this it's not too hard to build up people's stats.

The entire clan is full of not-very-smart folk, actually. Only the awesome Tachihara Hisatsuna has Int over 60... <_<

Now playing Matsunaga Hisahide, 1570. It's surprisingly easier than I thought, since you start allied with the Oda who are one of the biggest clans in the game, and the Miyoshi are still on friendly terms with you. You're only threats starting off are the Suzuki and Tsutsui Junkei, whom if you hire up Yagyu Muneyoshi who starts in your territory as a ronin 90% of the time, are not really big problems (Well, Suzuki Shigeoki can be if you let him build up his troops and guns fast enough. He and Magoichi alone can totally ruin you.)

This is one ebil tea-obsessed man who's gonna rule Japan!

Playing my first campaign (Struggle for Power) as the Takeda, doing pretty well so far as a Warlord-ranking daimyo. I'm currently trying to build up my culture while avoiding getting bankrupt. I'm also looking for more gold to Declare, any tips? I'll be happy to return the favor.

For gold, build markets, and lots of them. Have at least 4 or so markets per fief. More in fiefs with gold/silver mines is even better.

Wei-Yan: NA is not really like Kessen 3 at all. It's a combination of menu-based nation governing, and RTS-style battles.

Um... no... It is more like, the Foreign Influence must be 900 or higher. Who told you 999 and 999 the culture would actually give it a black color... and you would need to equal or surpass it with Foreign to get your Foreign Keep.

So... This there is a chance that NA:Kakushin will be released in the US and Europe?
If there is one thing that I have learned it is that people often lack understanding. Instead of admitting this fault they wish to vehemently defend their ever growing precarious position and lastly attempt to make themselves into the victim. Ignorance is a plague to all people of the world and none are exempt, the only thing making the so called "intelligent" people intelligent is the work they put forth in investing their attentions to more worthy goals. There is nothing wrong or right with the world we live in, because there is no right or wrong. All are abstract ideas formed separately or in cooperation around the world to define the grounds for society, in the end none of it really matters.

Culture has zero bearing on getting Western Main Keep. It only affects whether you get a White or Black 3-story Keep when you hit 200 Foreign rating(if the Culture is higher, it will be White, if lower it will be Black.)

Western Main Keep will be built in your main base when you have over 900 Foreign rating(and you must have Osaka Main Keep already.)

There is always a chance of Kakushin being released domestically. But trying to speculate further is merely an exercise in futility.

It depends really. Have you played any previous NA/ROTK games or other strategy games?

The gameplay is turn-based country management combined with real-time battle: when you play, you take turns through a year's seasons while building up infrastructure, negotiating with other clans and merchants, and building up an army. When you go into a battle, it turns into a Starcraft-esque real-time play where you command troop units on a battlefield.

tsk... That's a pity, I was really looking forward to a "Rise of Heroes" Scenario like in Rot3K. Hopefully I'll get Iron Triangle soon.

It's still a great game, one of the best I've played.
