How would you rate the Shadow of Iga, one of Ieyasu's most loyal men. Would you consider him the greatest ninja in the game? Post any thoughts relating to Hanzo here! |

The rest of the ninjas have such a limited range. But Hanzo's Scythe trumps them all. THe only thing that holds him back from Fuma maybe is the Musou Attack. Hanzos is one of the few I dont recommend leveling up to 3, it just doesnt hit what you want after awhile. But he's in my top 5 overall. I've played Hanzo in any version of him in all games over the years, and the SW2 Hanzo is my fave. Though the Samurai Showdown (original) one was good too. |

Its a Kusarigama, aka a Sickle on a chain  Anyway, he is definatly the best ninja in the game. The other 2 are just annoying for 1...and then he has the best moveset. I am personally better with Nene's but I have seen how my bro uses Hanzo. His musou isn't that great, but it is good for harder difficulties, since you can knock back armies of guys. His level 3 musou is kinda pointless IMO, though  Either way, he is definatly the best ninja. Least annoying, and best moveset :ph43r: I like that he doesn't talk a lot as well. I missed his thing from SW1, the "tut, tut, tut" while waving his finger, while keeping them quiet before killing them in the cutscenes. That was awesome :ph43r: |

Hanzo is a good character all around. His personality fits his ninja style qualities good. As to his moveset, I only like using his C4 mainly. I dislike his musou since he only stands in one position, making it harder to attack blocked enemies. |

Hanzo's awesome I love his special where he makes clones of himself it isn't that useful but it sure as hell looks cool. Also I liked how his missions weren't the typical "go here defeat X general" etc. and involved some elements of sneaking around. (it was better in SW1 though) |

Hanzo is definitely the best ninja in both SW and SW2. He's silent, deadly and could rip out your throat and you wouldn't notice. His personality was probably much better in SW, ie he didn't rant about darkness all the time. I missed the "ninja path" missions in SW and I also missed his Ueda Infiltration Stage. His musou ruled as well, weapon element=musou element=AWESOME! |

I agree with Red Knight.He's definitly the Best!!! Kotaro and Nene are good too,but it's their range that bothers me... I leveled up Hanzô in no-time...leaving the others far behind... |

Best ninja by far. His only real weakness is level 3 musou attack. Both specials are good. Has much better range, even though Nene can throw her weapons and Kotaro can stretch his. Plus he has the best personality. The silent but deadly shinobi routine can never get old to me. Kotaro's constant talk of chaos and Nene's wanna be mother personality get really old, really fast. I just wish there could have been more duel scenes with the shinobi, and, like Sanada mentioned, more scenes like the one from SW to prove Hanzo's badass-ness. |

I like Hanzo. I think he has a great moveset and personality and imo he is certainly the best ninja. To me he has a typical ninja attitude - not saying much and letting actions speak louder than words which is cool and different to the other characters. When he does speak its nearly always about shadows His moves are overall awsome with good range and power and the ninja double jump is always handy

One of my favourite moments with Hanzo was fighting against both Nene and Kotaro in the last level of his story mode inside Osaka Castle, Kotaro is all powered up and between Hanzo and Kotaro poor Nene doesn't stand a chance. |

That was pretty awesome actually. I just attacked Nene then beat the sh*t out of Kotaro. That was fun. The memories of that and his Upper Path final stage in SW. |

I normally let Kotaro and Nene beat the stuffing out of each before finishing off whoever's left, (normally Kotaro he's powered up a lot) by this time Ina has normally entered the castle and whoever's left is too weak to put up much of a fight. But it was an amazing experience first time around Kotaro was killing the Toyotomi soldiers in 1-2hits and me and Nene were just going all out. Pretty soon it was just us 3 battling inside the castle... |

Yeah the 3-way shinobi fight was awesome. I still hold out that there will be a long cutscene of the 3 fighting if it happens again in SW3. Also hoping they'll figure out a way to incorporate his spear fighting abilities into his moveset. |

Hanzo is awesome, put simply. I loved using him in SW & when SW2 came out, even though he blabbers about darkness & shadows when he does speak, he's still a silent killer. C4 is main weapon for me, his musou is good but not the best, his R1+S special is awesome (especially after level 3 musou w/ clones
B) ) I just can't stand Nene & her mother personality & Kotaro annoys me too much <_< although the dialogue Kotaro & Hanzo had at Mikatagahara was pretty funny :lol: |

What makes him the best ninja in the game? Please elaborate. I personally think Hanzo has a great personality and great moveset though i believe in SW2 his VA does not do him justice, most of the lines sound forced and lack a certain quality that i cant name at the moment unlike his SW1 VA who nailed it perfectly in my opinion (i believe the same VA voices Cao Pi in DW5) And his moveset is pretty unique and awesome as well, he is one of my top characters in SW. |

Kim Strauss is an excellent voice actor, I first heard this guy as Lino En Kuldes in Suikoden IV, he provides a much better voice actor for Hanzo then...whoever it was in SW2. Hanzo has a pretty sweet moveset, very fast and shadow creating is rather entertaining. Although his personality pretty much annoys me, partially due to the very slow voice acting we have in SW2. The whole shadow style ninja thing is overdone for my liking. |

HANZO IS THE GREATEST!!! Hanzo is my favorite character of all time. He is a bit difficult to play with as he is very vulnerable, but one you get him leveled up to max he is the greatest. You can easily kill anyone and everyone, except for Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who is probably Hanzo's weakness. I love his 4th level weapon. I like all aspects of his moveset except the smoke bomb one because it never works properly because they always block but other than that it's all good. His character is cool. His costume change from SW1 to SW2 was extremely drastic and an amazing improvement. It is more warrior ninja than just ninja. Very cool! HANZO!!!! |

He is a great VA though for Xu Huang in DW5, the job was a bit iffy. But back to Hanzo, in SW2 some of his lines were so damn cheesy and not delivered to boot (in fact a lot of the lines were cheesy and weirdly written like when Ginchiyo tells Yoshihiro that the only blood flowing from his body would be his own, now duh! i seriously lol'ed at that :lol: ) But if you've seen Hanzo's alternate costume in SW, i think that'll suit him mightily, i seriously like it, it gave more of a arse kicking/serious image to him in my opinion, hopefully his character is expanded upon is SW3, to make him more than a one dimensional character with a bit more a personality and to make his moveset more beastly. |

Yeah his alt costume in the original SW was pretty cool kinda like Rikimaru from Tenchu, I loved his good ending in that one as well helping the Tokugawa unify the land, he had fufilled his purpose and literally vanished in to the night. :ph43r: |

Back in SW (The first) He was easily ranked as one of my best characters. The one from SW2 isn't really all that great for me. His move-set was really good and easy to build up combos too. His story mode was pretty exciting (The first.) and learning all these ninja keys. |

I loved all of Hanzo's voices. Though I can't remember his SW1 voice too well and I'm not putting it in just to listen to it. The only thing I disliked about his SW2 voice was his battle grunts. What kind of a ninja screams like that when attacking? Same with Nene too. I mean Hanzo has a soft voice then in battle is ****ed up grunts! That the only thing I hate about Agile Sound. They have good talking voices but then in battle they sound totally off character. (Though some fit like Kanetsugu for some reason...) I actually liked his WO VA too. He sounded dark and I like it. I love how he said "Target Eliminated..." |
