Guess I'm a little biased here
 since I am the first to vote great and great.The man takes pride in ruining your conquest rather than embarking on his own. And then afterwards he offers you a drink, what a good sport. What held him back the most in SW1 was his final weapon. It just did not stack up to his God of War status in the game, who cared about horse attack other than Keiji and Masamune? In SW2 making him normal attack did not sit too well with me at first, untill I realized that it actually made him into a faster attacker. And that C8 rules, on the ground or in a juggle. One of the best moves in the game. |

Kenshin is one of the best normal types in the game IMO. He is my favourite anyway, anyone who I like more are all Charge types :lol: His moveset is awesome, as my nemesis :ph43r: said, his C8 is one of the strongest in the game, his C6 I think it is (the sword push?) breaks guard, and can do good damage, as well as stun, and his personallity, is great for his characters. His voice could be better, but I liked it a lot anyway (for SW2, hated in WO <_<) |

''Heavens!'' Great story mode as I've played with him anyway, back on his first appearance, (SW) I thought he was just a strange character, until I started to play with him more often. His move-set is interesting, that's for sure, he can break your defense with his C4 I believe. I really miss all his old stuff from SW. (Epically his voice. Sounded a bit like Cao Ren to me, DW4 and DW5.) |

"Great Bishamonten, God Of War, Grant me the power to strike down my foes! God, how I missed that in SW2. His moveset got better in the SW-SW2 change over in my opinion, although the C1 thing in SW1 was gotten rid of, you know the phoenix or the burst thing. He just kicked ass in SW1, one of the strongest in the game. His story in SW2 got worse, his voice got worse, considering how awesome his SW1 VA was. |

"Bishamonten, grant me strength!" I'm always gonna miss that line at the start of battles. He's one of the few people who's personality stays the same, which is pretty kickass, and that automatically makes him cool. He's got one of the best movesets and great stats to boot. Not to mention his C7 can do a ton of damage, especially if coupled with his avatar special. The only thing I miss is his voice from SW1. It just fit him so well. I'll never get over it. |

Noo, he says "Gods grant me strength" or "Gods grant me fortune." or "Grant me the power to strike down evil." or "Grant me the power to see through the illusion", but this depends on the battle. The avatar special only lasts for about 1 minute. |

I am Kenshin Numbah 1 fan :lol: :lol: Kenshin is probably one of the favourite character in SW2. His story mode was really good and his quotes are always awesome. His move set is really good and I never get bored playing as him. His R1 may need some work but his triangle and his musou is good to take a lot of life of one general of officer or boss. His personality is good. |

I dont particularly like Kenshin. His moveset is very good and his personality is ok but I still dont like him. He talks about the Gods an awful lot even though I do actually like his officer defeated quote
 His VA in SW2 said it really well IMO and suited him too
The VA he had in WO was horrible and totally killed him

Ahh Kenshin, the God of War. I love using this character. For some reason, when I began playing SW2, I was not looking forward to using him. After I started, I quickly changed my impression of him. The awesomeness of his C8 attack has already been discussed, but I abused that move like crazy. I also liked using his C5 where he slams the ground with his blade, knocking opponents in the air. With his 4th weapon, he gets excellent Ice activation on this move (if I remember correctly  ) making it easy to take down hyper officers. I don't particularly care much for his special attacks in SW2 (or WO for that matter).I like the constant "Nemesis" interactions with him and Shingen. Someone posted a funny parody of the two where the only thing Kenshin could say was "Nemesis" so everytime I hear him say that I think of it :lol: Also, with his 4th he becomes the second strongest attacker in SW2, so what's not to like about that? Overall, I voted great moveset & great personality. |

His image was without a doubt improved. I always made jokes about him looking like a ghost when only SW was around. His face was so pale, it was sickening! So after the change, I was very pleased to see some color on his face at last. Even though it wasn't the amount I wished. Towards his story, and him as for what he is, I have never really been a fan of his, I must say. Though the way he swings his sword with one arm in a circular motion whilst slowing move foward is quite unique indeed. I would be daft to say that his MS needed much work. |

He is a great character, i love this guys personality and his allleged links to being the embodyment of Bishamonten make it even more of a stand out. Hate his moveset though, he has some great charge attacks but his X combo attacks go's all awry whenever he does that sword swinging combo and his musuo is nothing special. |

In SW1, Kenshin actually embarks on his own conquest and races Shingen to the capital, something that regrettably, does't happen in SW2. That was pretty fun, the notable exception being racing through Gifu Castle as fast as possible. The fun pretty got sucked out of Kenshin's SW2 story, the notable exception being Nagashino |

I'm inclined to agree to a point RK. I hope in the next game they give him a story that focuses on him taking the land himself. I know historically he harbored no unification ambitions of his own, but this is supposed to be a what-if game. The whole nemesis this, and nemesis that thing, its cool but can get played out. Definitely need to bring back the branches, one for defeating/killing Shingen, and one for unification of the land. |

That's something I'd hope for as well, that and a good dream stage, not Conquest Of Kyushu. The nemesis thing can get a bit tired after a while, so maybe Kenshin needs some more catch-phrases |

I vote for "Great moveset, poor personality" His dont like his moveset in SW1, but i like it in SW2.. because it changed to combo set, so it has various attack style  I dont like his personality, dont know why XD His nemesis thing annoyed me, i think

His new charge is just really useful, perhaps a bit too useful in fact. It basically adds his very strong C1 with his very strong Bishamonten upgrade. Plus its one of those body motions that it's easy to remember, so there's little reason to count his squares or get worried. Unlike the likes of Hideyoshi who swings his weapon very quickly and frantically. I don't mind this character. And I find his ''To live amongst death, magnificent!'' cheer, to be a bit creepy. :lol: |

Well, hes my brothers 2nd choice character after Keiji, I don't use him much but his C4 is a good early charge and his new charge does crowd-clearing and power up at the same time which is very good, probably the best new charge. As personality goes, I don't really see anything that defining. |

In Japanese, he's voiced by Nakata Jouji. Whenever he opens his mouth, I half expect Alucard to pop up with his twin pistols blazing. Moveset is pretty good. But, I use him for utilitarian purposes (unlocking Shingen, and by extension, Musashi in SW2, and getting abilities in WO1). |

People on youtube keep saying he looks like Gackt o-o I don't see it. XD I never really played as Kenshin, but he look pretty good. I have no reason to hate him :] His Basara version on the other hand is pretty funny :] |

^I think I have the answer for that. Gackt plays the role of Kenshin in Fuurinkazan, a Taiga Drama about the life of Yamamoto Kansuke, which airs 2 years ago. To be honest, I think Mitsuhide looks like Gackt. And I like his moveset, but his story sucks in SW2. He battles Shingen again and again. Hopefully, we'll see more of him now that Ujiyasu's on the scene, |

Kenshin is awesome. I can still remember the first time I played Kawanakajima. "Great Bishamonten, God of War...." He's just such an intimidating guy, and he has an aura of strength about him. I also loved how he viewed Shingen; his perception of his Nemesis is much more interesting than Shingen's view of Kenshin. The Uesugi clan is one of my favorites, and Kenshin is one of the greatest daimyo of the age. I can only hope Koei shows him the proper respect once more in SW3, and now that the Hojo have some momentum, Koei can finally start treating Kenshin as more than just a character foil for Shingen. |
