SYDK- I did something I thought I would never do today... I am half way between relieved that it finally happened and terrified of whether or not it should have.

The girl I invited to the concert tonight didn't show. :( , but ...........

Screw her, I had fun  I even got to meet 1 of my friends kids. they were kinda adorable. ^_^

I guess I see no point in trying too hard to get a girl's attention anymore.
but still she's my friend (I'm just never asking her out again :hmmm: )

Well, I don't think it was nice of her to not show, anyway what matters most is that you had fun, I suppose =).

SYDK: If I look upset to someone, I'll never tell them what's wrong if I feel like they should know, or if they're the reason why I'm upset.

SEYDK: My history teacher implied today that the Allies during WWI weren't as good without the Americans helping, because she said that if we [the US] hadn't come in and helped, that the Germans probably would have won the war. Keyword: probably.

True she was. England and France were having their ass whooped by Germany. US simply supplied them with soldiers and armaments

Man, I hate how we Brasileiros try to look up to the US. Almost right after they entered the WW( both), we entered.

Well, they were our main buyers of coffee, after all

Actually, people think the superior race junk in Germany appeared with Hitler. It appeared in WWI, before Weimar's republic

Many leaders cared for themselves and power only. Hitler, Mussolini, Napoleon.

I was wrong about my class reading Lord of the Flies next.

Nope, we're going to be reading Thirteen Reasons Why.

My sister said it's a good book, so I'm looking forward to it.

Not true, many Americans didn't even see battle, they were more of a morale thing, truth is by the time USA stept in, Germany was already losing trrops and ground dramatically. America really didn't do much at all for the war.

Canada was kicking ass at the end though. :sly:

Also, Thirteen Reasons Why is a really good book, innapropriate for school, but really good.

The English smushed him in the end and they remained supreme for quite some time after. All Napoleon did was give the French another King so he was pretty much a failure =D

Uh, making Russia call for peace, and defeating English and France around is not that bad. Also, Germany's fronts were left intact before the end of WWI. They only lost ground at Versalhes

USA supported France-England with 800.000 men and a lot of armaments for a single battle, I believe

@Clash: It is thanks to Napoleon that many countries in Europe saw industrialization as the way to development :kurokan:

Uhhh, no.

The main countries of continental Europe at the time, this means Austria, France, Prussia and Russia only came to see true industrialization years after England begun the Industrial Revolution

Russia, for example, saw industrialization between 1890-1910
Prussia became an industrial state in 1820, I believe :kurokan:

Not before USA joined, just as they were joining the War effort. And they lost lots of ground actually. While they didn't lose much German soil, the ground they did lose most of the ground they gained.

While the Americans may have backed them up, I don't think any of them actually fought, so It made little difference.
