Warriors Orochi Voice Acting

Posts: 3,585 Group: Members Member #4,250 Joined: November 19, 2006	Is it me or did some of the voices in this game sounded kinda awful? And what I mean by that is they killed Hideyoshi's voices really badly in this game. What ever happened to his SW2 voice!? Sun Jian sounds like he has a really bad cold when he is talking. Most of the other officers (generic) all sound like half dead robots. :S So what did you think about the voices? Do you agree or disagree? Opinions? And please state your reasons so that we don't spam up the thread.

And the non-generic ones sound a bit dead too. Hideyoshi's voice is the worst voice-> character match I have ever heard... I'm sure it'd be good for Bugs Bunny's dumb inbred baby rabbit but ugh. Even KEIJI has improved. I could complain about some aspect of most of the SW voices (seriously, they're not even TRYING with Ranmaru any more - doesn't anyone GET that he's a BOY?), but I won't. I can accept a lot of them as "distinctly average" but none of the SW voices are what I'd say are "good" (except Kunoichi, but anything's better than her incessant HEHEEHUEHEHUHUHUHHH" every five seconds <_< ) Anyone else notice that Yoshimoto sounds a LOT like Muri from Devil Kings now?

Damn you koei, Asai had an awesome VA! Hideyoshi=LAWL Its so bad its funny. Ishida's new voice is growing on me, but i still like his Sw2 voice the most. Akechi's new voice isnt bad either ;p he dominates with the ice element..
	I hereby vow, on March 4th, 2009, that if I encounter a spammer and lose twice in a row, my Brawl disc will be shattered to peices and I will have photographic proof. This will remain in my sig until said event happens.

Oh and I seriously thought Kenshin's voice could not possibly be worse then his terrible SW2 voice...but somehow they managed to find one worse for WO

Gan Ning, Xiahou Dun and Yuan, Mitsunari, Cao Pi, Keiji, Masumune, Nene, Xu Huang, Zhange Liao, Zhange He all sound good. Sun Ce, Orochi, Meng Hou, and Da Ji do too. There are more that sound good but theres a lot to name. Ones that I agree are bad are of course Hideyoshi, Nobunaga (too low), Hanzo (same as Nobunaga), Sun Jian, Cao Cao (disappointed its not the same as 4), Guan Yu could be better too. Xu Zhu should sound like an idiot because he looks like one.
	Those who do not value the greatness of the Kessen series shall be struck down with the blade of virtue!

I love Tokugawa and Cao Ren's voices in any games they appear, they have an awesome sage voice. And I suppose I'm the onloy one who loves to play Wei Yan and hear him growling and screaming while he fights?

BAD Sun Jian, Guan Yu, Ranmaru, Kenshin (how could they), Keiji (prefer SW2), & Hideyoshi (funny, but god awful) GOOD Nobunaga, Mitsunari, Pang De, & Xing Cai (much better!), & Yoshihiro (prefer his SW2 voice but this one is not bad) GREAT Orochi, I got chills when I heard his voice!

Poor Wei Yan, he almost sounds like Ned from South Park (the guy with microphone to his throat). :S Keiji's sounds almost the same like Gan Ning's voice. Am I right? Other than that, I am actually getting use to most of the voices in this game.

Lol I heard Kenshin's yesterday for the first time, yuck. Also Shingen's is poor as well. Kenshin's and Shingen's were much better in SW1. Pang De's, good? Yuck, yuck, yuck! It's seriously so much worse than his in DW5 voice. Guan Yu's isn't bad, but it's not that good either. However, it is better than his Empires voice, but worse than his DW5 voice IMO. Xing Cai's is better, I agree. She is a much better character overall. Yoshihirio's isn't superb, as his SW2 voice is better by a fair margin. Keiji's is better. Haven't heard Sun Jian's yet, but I heard it's his same voice as his Empires voice. Nor have I seen or heard Ranmaru yet. I would agree with Nobunaga's. I believe it's better than his SW2 voice. Mitsunari's not so, but it's still good.
