I know lol, he was the worst even though I secretly enjoy at times only because I gotten use to all the voices in the game even Kenshin's voice which I like as well. |

True, I must agree with you. I knew what to expect with Hideyoshi but when I first heard Kenshin I though WTH?! It has grown on me though. |

The only voice that hasn't grown on to me is Sun Jian's. I am sorry but everytime I hear him say the word "momentum", I wanted to stab him with his own weapon. If they allow this voice to carry over on Dynasty Warriors 6, I will go insane in a bad way. |

I dont like Sun Jian's either, and he does sound like he has a cold :lol: He somehow makes everything he says sound stupid at least I think so anyway
 I hate Kenshin's as well. I just thought the VA killed him especially when he says "May the Gods show you mercy" it just sounds ridiculous IMO and was way better on SW2 I thought Magoichi's suited him well in WO just like in SW2 |

I can tolerate Hideyoshi, but his SW1 VA is superior hands down. Magoichis SW1 and SW2(E) VAs sounded more cunning and convincing. His WO VA, it just doesn't sound right. That guy gets some saving grace for retaining the clever and flirtatious persona though. I guess money is a huge issue for VA's. Because there were really nice ones but they never seem to stick around for more than 1 game. |

I really miss Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao's DW5 voice!!!! Xiao's VA hurts my ears and doesn't sound the same. Da's VA is still the same but is using a different tone. I miss her "That's gotta hurt!" line from DW5. In WO she sounds like a child. And I miss her grunts when she attacked. I miss her "Die!" ending in her S string. Xing Cai's was way better. More emotion. I absolutly hate Okuni's voice!!! The stupid "Yah!" and "I won't close!" lines got on my nerves. I like her SW2 voice WAY better. Oichi's sounds way better here. In SW2 in battle she sounds like a kid. WO sounds better. And she has a better Officer quote: "Gotcha!" (SW2) "Hey! That wasn't so hard!" (WO) No's voice was better cause she sounded more evil IMO. I still like her SW2 voice but... I LOVE Ina's voice!!! Sounds so much better. Nene's was great. I like her SW2 voice but if they gave her different grunts, human grunts, then she'd be fine. Ginchyo's was awsome. Though I do miss her "Hiya!" from SW2. I really liked her "He's your husband and he attacked you!" Line. Kunoichi's sounds more fun than her SW1. I like the "WHEE!" And she's funnier in this one "...And she left the house this morning without any pants!" XD The rest of the girls were awsome cause they either changed slightly and I couldn't tell or stayed the same. |

Speaking of Qiao sisters, the voice acting of Qiao sisters in Warriors Orochi is a huge disappointment! It was so good in DW5 but looks like the new voice team ruined them lol! And SSX, Ina and Xing Cai for the win in Warriors Orochi female voice acting!

After focusing closely on Da Ji's voice, I think her actress did a good job. The Chinese view of a female fox demon (ie what Da Ji is) is meant to be girly, cruel and repulsive. I suppose you can say the closest equivalent of a fox demon/ yao guai/ 'yokai' would be something like a succubus. Hanzo sounded exactly like Vincent from FFVII; not surprising considering they're both voiced by Steve Blum. I thought it was kind of forced and odd. Nohime definitely sounded better; her voice suited her personality. I was quite surprised at her her voice actress said "I like it rough~!" to Ma Chao, as the true intention of the line wasn't very subtle (especially when lines with references to adult-only themes usually are)... Oichi's voice was also surprisingly low. At least Okuni sounded better than her SW1 voice. Zhou Yu sounded a little bit... older. Especially when he says "it's always thrilling to watch you fight!" when you fight as Sun Ce. It kind of creeps me out. >_> |

Ahh yes, Da Ji has easily one of the best VAs in this game. Her line @ Guan Du where she begins in a pleading tone of voice, then changes at the end to a serious one when she says that she "might just have to hit you with the catapults" is very well done. That and her line @ Wu Zhang Plains when she says "Men, you can't live with them, you can't simply have them slaughtered ... Oh well, I guess I'll just have to do it myself ... again." I may have butchered some of the line, but the VA delivers this line flawlessly, IMO. It has the right touch of cruelty then annoyance and the sense stress & inflection is just right on. Kudos to Da Ji's VA. I rank her in my top list of VAs for KOEI Warriors games. EDIT: Had the wrong stage in there. |

Nobunaga's voice has improved since SW 2. I think it's Richard Epcar, but I'm not 100% sure. It's still not as good as his SW1 voice, but that was given to Cao Cao, and after his last VA, I'll take what I can get. Why on earth did they change Wei Yan's voice!? Lex Lang is already in the game, just pay him a little extra to do one more voice! He was always so good as Wei Yan, too. Kim Strauss just doesn't sound right as Wei Yan. Too much strain so that it sounds painful to listen to. He does a good job as Cao Pi and Xu Huang, though. Magoichi sounds like a snooty New Englander. I always expect him to say something like "I graduated from Harvard." Another voice they should have paid Lex Lang to do. Hideyoshi sounds like someone doing a Jerry Lewis impersonation. I suppose it's not as bad as his SW2 voice though. I really wish Michael Gough could come back as Zhou Yu. His dashing swashbuckler voice was excellent. Speaking of Zhou Yu's voice actors, I think his DW 4 VA would be perfect for Mitsuhide. He was very serious and very calm, but he didn't sound wimpy, like Mitsuhide's SW2 WO VAs. Kenshin is the worst though. He may as well sound like Tristan from Yugioh (the original Tristan who sounded like Barney) because it couldn't be worse. "May my Voice show you mercy!" That couldn't have been Steve Blum as Hanzo. First, he doesn't sound really sound like Vincent and second, he's busy voicing Orochimaru in english Naruto, as well as being in other video games and anime series, and third, there are 2 much more important places for Steve Blum's voice to go than Hanzo's mouth. 1. Sun Jian's mouth. Get rid of that current rubbish Koei calls a voice actor. 2. Keiji's mouth. Though the new guy's not that bad and far superior to "Cowboy Keiji", Steve Blum would make me able to take Keiji seriously again. I know he did Xiahou Yuan, too, but the new guy's alright, and i don't play Yuan that much anyway. Da Ji was pretty good, I have to agree. I think she and Kunoichi were voiced by the same person because I noticed some small similarities. |

YES!!! Some of the changed voices were alright, but I just couldn't stand Hideyoshi or Kenshin. I also hated Keijis  they were almost all better originally, only a few exceptions

My final review on some of the voices. Sakon Shima: At first I thought his voice was fine but as I was playing it more, I realized it wasn't the same as his SW2 voice which I ended up disliking his voice in this game later on. He sounds too bland and boring with no energy. Nobunaga: I thought his voice was great in this game. It had more personality to it compared to his SW2 voice. I still like his SW2 voice but I think his voice in this game was just as good. Zhang He: If anyone didn't know this, the guy who did his voice is the same guy who did Sun Ce's voice (Yuri Lowenthal) which I thought he did a good job with but I would've probably stuck to his original DW5 voice more. Jiang Wei: I didn't care for his new voice in this game but after playing this game for so long, I grown to adapting to the voices including his but I still liked his DW5 voice much better. Hideyoshi: Despite the fact everyone practically dislikes his voice compared to his SW2 voice. I started to like it only because he actually almost sounded like a monkey when talking. I would've prefer his SW2 voice more though. Sun Jian: The worst one of the whole bunch and the one I dislike the most. Sounds like he has a bad cold everytime he talked. I missed his DW5 original voice. Xiao Qiao: She sound way too childish and annoying with a bit of a nasally cold. I liked her DW5 original voice better. Xing Cai: I find her voice in both games pretty annoying. Kenshin: I thought his voice was good in this game, had more depth and personality. Zhang Fei: You can't blame them for changing his voice because of the simple fact that the original guy that did his voice died so they had to find another replacement. Guan Yu: I prefer his Crispin Freeman voice. I don't feel like listing anymore, mostly because the others were pretty much the same or better. |

He he the SW characters voicing did change tad or the series, one that I will liked was Kenshins. I think all of their voicing changed besides Shingen? Either way, they did a great job with Hideyshi and Yukimura IMO, the rest were just, eh new voices. |

I think that obviously Hideoyoshi has the worst voice. Noh's voice is actually really good for her character. It really fits her personality and all. Da Qiao's voice sort of sounds like her sister's, which is upsetting because her DW5 voice made her sound more mature than Xiao. |
