I haven't noticed any problems in my PSP version, I thought it was only the PS2 version that had problems. The PSP and 360 versions don't have glitches or at least I don't have any on my consoles. :huh:

So, it seems I got another bug on the psp version. We are talking of Zhou Thai now: normally his C5 produces a little shockwave in front of him, now all of a sudden I got him producing the shockwave slightly behind him! The result is that I don't manage to hit the enemy in front of me anymore. Do you ever heard of this glitch? Resetting the officer turned out to be useless. If you don't have the solution for that, then could someone provide me a savegame for the us version with at least all the characters and abilities maxed out? In my current savegame I got the stuff I mentioned before and PI and maxed out 4th weaopon for the majority of the chars and for sure I don't want to start the job from zero again. Thanks in advance!

This game is BUGGY!!! now I got the same problem with Xu Huang's C5, it seems that managing the C5 moves it's pretty difficult for the psp...

EDIT: I add Lu Meng to the list. C5 again. Now I really think that my copy is glitched...
I don't think that agility is the key, because I put agility 10 on every character on the ps2 version and I never had a problem such this.
EDIT 2: I also add xhiaou Dun, Xhiaou Yuan and Meng Huo...even without impulse(ability) and agility(weapon) I get the same problem. BTW I don't know yours but I'm playing the US version.

Some characters get a buggy Charge attacks (often C5 for DW characters) if you have too high Agility (6 or higher, I think). It's annoying at first but you get used to it soon. Besides, Agility, although it makes Xu Huang and Zhou Tai's C5 attacks hard to aim, is great for their other Charge attacks. I recommend you keep it.

Occasionally, my WO Psp will freeze while loading the game.

Anyways, I just submitted my WO PSP save data. I hope someone else has better save data, as I want to try to have Lu Bu PI but no luck as 2 players is the way I does for the PS2 version.

Hey all, I caught a glimpse of PSP WO yesterday and several questions popped into my mind instantly. As I do not own a PSP, I hope to seek some answers in here.

- Is it true that the game is lagging when the screen gets crowded? Seemed so.

- And from what I know, PSP had only a left and a right button. How is switching of characters done? If those are used, then how to trigger R1 special and block?

- No lagging at all. My screen gets so many crowded with soldiers but it's zero lagging.

- Switching character is left and right directional button, up and down is for zooming for the map.

L = Guard
R = Special
Left/Right Arrow = Swap Character
Up/Down Arrow = Map
Select = Horse
Start = Menu
Triangle = Charge
Square = Attack
X = Jump
Circle = Musou

Also this game is full map it's very very good I think it's the best Warriors game for the PSP.

Ahh.. Thanks!

Well in that very case, I suppose I should be getting a PSP real soon. Thanks again for the detailed clarifications.

Glitchy whirlwind C5 attacks. They appear behind the character (Guan Yu's, Hideyoshi's) Some glitchy C6 attacks for me. Lu Meng's C6 does absolutely no damage at all, except for the attribute effects.
Some absolutely CRAZY lagging happens when you run into a screen full of phantom soldiers.

Got this game today. I have to say it's probably the best Warriors game on PSP so far. Full maps instead of mini maps makes the game much smoother than previous PSP Warriors games. There aren't as many disappearing enemies as I had feared and I haven't experienced any lag. Controls are exactly same as in PS2 version but you switch characters with D-pad's left/right arrows and map with up/down arrows. I got used to them pretty quickly but I have to admit that switching between characters is a pain in the middle of a combo.

Cutscenes look a bit strange when they're just still-pictures and characters speak with speech bubbles. Also, the lack of voices during battles takes away some of the atmosphere (and dialogs aren't as amusing as in PS2 ver.) but it's not totally bad thing. For one, those who can't stand English voices are going to have easier time with the game. And for two, you don't need to listen those annoying one-liners anymore (just listening Tadakatsu or Hideyoshi's quotes is enough to drive me crazy in WO/WO2...) :crazy: .

But you know what's really the worst thing about this game? Lu Bu's PI >_>. Getting PI for the rest of the characters is going to be easy but Lu Bu's.... oh god, I can't even think about. All those nightmares from PS2's WO are coming back to me... This is really the only way to express how I feel right now:

Have no fear, someone at KOEI loves PSP owners.

One of the PI requirements that was "fixed" in the PSP version is Lu Bu's. The amount of time required to get his PI was extended.

I'm not sure exactly who else has changed, but someone emailed me awhile back shortly after it released saying that Lu Bu's time requirement is longer than 9min (maybe 10-11min? :unsure: ). I can't remember exactly how much though -_-

I read this announcement today on koei.uk:

Quote:

10th August 2009
WARRIORS OROCHI PSP RELEASED AUGUST 20 ON PLAYSTATION NETWORK

Warriors Orochi is available on 20th August through PlayStation®Network, with the price GBP 13.99 / EUR 17.99.

Without warning, the venomous Serpent King Orochi descended from the heavens. Using his unworldly powers to shatter time and space, Orochi kidnapped the strongest, wisest and most courageous warriors from Ancient China and Feudal Japan in a scheme to test his might against the heroes of these ages.

In Warriors Orochi the characters from both franchises must team-up to wage war against this new, yet powerful force. The game boasts an amazing roster of 79 playable characters, while four action-packed “crossover” storylines feature amazing team-ups and some long-awaited confrontations between characters from both series.

The game’s new “Team Battle System” and “Weapon Fusion” push Tactical Action to a whole new level. For the first time in KOEI’s Tactical Action games, players can create their own three-person tag team. At any given time, one warrior will be engaged in battle, while the other two are recuperating; restoring their Life Meters and Musou Gauges. Every character is categorized according to offensive ability, and with new fighting techniques, it’s up to the player to find the most lethal combination of warriors. “Weapon Fusion” lets players combine the attributes from different weapons for more devastating results.

I noticed the price on the WO download is $14.99 (USD) so its about $5 cheaper than WO is going for in stores on UMD.

I might pick this up if my memory stick has enough available space :unsure:

EDIT: I have it now and with 300+MB to spare :D

Just bought it from PSN, quite enjoying it again. Want to get into WO again before I buy WO2 PSP, and wanted to have them both on PSP anyways. I can not stand Zhao Yun though... his repetitive moveset and 'heroicness' annoys me so much.

Heh, just thought I'd post a mini progress update for this game ...

I have almost unlocked all abilities so far and I acquired the infamous Hero's Armor, otherwise known as Lu Bu's personal item :mellow:

I'm not really trying to get all of the PIs yet, but I wanted to verify the changed conditions on this one in particular. It seems the time limit is around 12min now instead of 9min, making this one ALOT easier to get.

Wow, I just realized its been over a year since I last played this and posted here :blink:

I also forgot how annoying trying to collect some of the Personal Items can become.

Just got Ina's after 5-6 failed attempts. This one sucks because you don't find out if you got it until almost the 10min remaining mark :kurokan:

I still play this game. :3

It's just because my PSP hasn't been upgraded yet. I want to play WO2 or DW:SF.

But I'm stuck with this, and accidentally deleted the data.

So I have to restart all over again. :o
