This is one of my early Koei Games. My first Rotk game too. I thought it was a great game as soon as I played it. I couldn't believe how well it was developed. - It's concept wasn't really at all that lacking, and the gameplay had me on it for hours. I was amazed to see all these portraits, and lands! I found it to be far too confusing for me. Until the more I played the more I got the hang of it. What I've noticed it doesn't always on the officers stats to win a battle, mainly on there skills required for that. Anyway, has anyone also had great experiences with this game? |

Oh, I love this game! Its my first and only RotTK game I've ever played, though I borrowing it before I buy it ( I'm still it burrowing now) >_> . The CAC was great to! I loved how you could distribute points of abilities. Scenarios are great, and the personalized character playing made it just great( Though they could show a bit more varied emotion). My favorite rank to play as was warlord, though being ruler is fun nonetheless. They should've added a couple more secret characters though. Still the secret characters were a nice addition. The events are a bit hard to find though. I still can't find number 96 and I've played over 9 scenarios ! I also am missing quite a few other events, I still nedd 71 % of them . My fav character to as is Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao, Sun Ce, Yuan Shao and Liu Biao. The hardest scenario was Battle of Chi Bi, as Liu Bei. I think the only reason I won was because of the following reasons: I made Xiahou Yuan defect to me and surrender his city to me because of repeated alienations which leaded to 24 loyalty , Sun Quans alliance and my many, many troops. The funnest scenario was Battle of Guan Du, Yuan Shao or Sun Ce. Being Yuan Shao is quite difficult though Not as hard as Chi Bi, but damn hard. Good thing Liu Bei often helped me . Being Yuan Shao was a challenge, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun. I loved the fact he had lots of troops too! Supplies were a bit low though. Being Sun Ce, all you needed to do was hire one or two officers, have some CACs start in your army, load up on troops and gold then march on Liu Biao! Its very easy to fight him as long as you have sufficient officers and troops. Alienating first also helped, defections and easier hiring after capture e.c.t . The imperial seal a whole lot too in the game. Extra charisma at that much of a level is EXTREMLEY useful. The duels were decent, not my favorite though. The battle style was cool, especially if you had elephants . The tactics made it really fun, so it was cool. I hate it when your ruler wants you to find an officer and hire him/her, you finally find him/her and they refuse! Working was a good way to occupy myself, but I loved cultivating the most. The farmers tended to give lots of stuff if they like you . I could go on and on about this game, but I should stop now. Bottom line: AWESOME GAME!
