When your playing your Rotk Which rulers do you ussually like playing as? I myself have to say Cao Cao. I like how he is, his stats, portraits, his son Cao Zhang. And I always end up having a good time doing so. It's also pretty easy building up your forces in the early scenarios, with other forces surrounding his own. It's Rotk 4 7 - 11 (Through) when I like playing as them. |

I thought so. -> Liu Bei's army would be your choice. Most of their stats are undeserving! (Where did that come from?) I've played with Liu Bei's force three times at top on XI. I would say it's fun, playing with most Shu generals and their ''Unique'' skills. All an all, they're weren't that much fun besides Zhao Yun and Huang Yue Ying. (Officer-Wise.) But they can easily take control. |

I usually play as Wu. They were always my favorite, and I've always been pretty successful as them. If not Wu, it's always my second favorite Wei. Easy to be Wei, for they are the strongest, and they have a wonderful variety of officers to be from there... |

I agree with that. But actually Koei tends to make Shu with really high superior stats. And Wu very well-balanced as well. Too much! As in Wei they're all mixed with stats. Overall they make Shu really too good. Would anyone recommend Wu any good? I play with them very little, because of Zhou Yu, or the likes of Lu Xun. But never did enjoy much of their scenarios. |

I play as Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Wu, Lu Bu, Yuan Shu, Other as in Wang Lang and Liu Yu, also a created force with all the women bonus characters with Qin Liang as the leader. now that is fun, Pang E is the only one good though.. Qin Liang too |

The women warrior Qin Liangyu? Liu Yu, I wonder how you manage. When I play as him it's hard to evade Gongsun Zan before he can capture you and execute you. Though sometimes you can get Yuan Shao to help as well. But I agree Cao Cao is a fun force to play as. Only force I play with actually 90% of the time. Yuan Shu, I give him Xiang Ji (Xiang Yu.) all the time. But never got into it with playing as him. |

well, first thing i do is form an alliance with Yuan Shao, then i recruit about 5-10 officers that lay around in Ji area, i normally get one good person, and a few mediocure people, i then attack Ding Yuan, take all his people, and then ceace fire with gongsun Zan, when he goes to attack Gongsun Du, i attack Bei Ping when all its good people are gone, very fun and easy |

Ah! That ceasefire trick. Yes it is an easy way of winning battles if you use it too much. Sounds like a good plan. Gongsun Zan doesn't ussually take his time when dealing with Gongsun Du, I assume you have to do that capturing thing quickly? |

Sounds like you use Calvary! =D That's a tough question. I enjoy playing with him a lot. And I never get bored conquering with him. I once played with Ma Chao over two months ago. I liked his portrait when he looks younger. Thought I gave up after 15 years of playing. I really didn't want any land, I just wanted dozens of fights. Ma Chao can kill officers easily in the game. (XI.) I played 184 and Get Ma Teng do fie in a duel. I don't do that anymore though. |

Yan Baihu? Yeah I've passed the game as him in Rise of Heroes. Really annoying recruiting as him and his brother. Both of them have low CHA, and not to mention how annoying their stats are. Just searching in their land helps, once you get Zhu Huan in there, it all gets much easier, though it was a hard story. |

well there are harder forces to recruit with, I personally have complete RoH with every single force, have you? it was just one of my own little challenges. i must hae done almost all of the other forces in every senerio, i must say the hardest was Gongsun Du in the Ma Chao episode. did i ever say i love it when Zhang Lu dies? i would have too if i hadn't gotten Yan Pu and Yang Song! he cam to my rescue. anyway this is not the place to continue this... Ricky, are you saying the only force you enjoy really playing the entire game through is as Cao Cao? there must be some other? or even He JIn when Cao Cao is under him? |

No I haven't passed the game with every ruler in the game. Though I have a high chance of probability of doing so, if I could with Yan Baihu. I do enjoy playing as Cao Cao, but I wouldn't say the only one. I like playing as Cao Zhang A LOT more when opportunity presents itself. When I play that year I change it around. I make Cao Song, and a give him about 11 officers along with Cao Cao's original force color. After I eliminate He Jin. But first I recruit Cao Cao and kill off Cao Song. Making Cao Cao the heir. The key to gaining Cao Cao is choosing He Jin also in the start of the game. Hire Bian Shi, let Cao Cao duel capture him and keep him as long as it takes for him to join with you. Of course I do much more than that, I as well make much more forces. But yeah, Cao Cao is a force I only enjoy playing as besides Cao Zhang. |

I usually play one of 4 forces. Lu Bu, Liu Biao, Liu Zhang, or a created force. If I want to play as one of the bigger powers I usually pick Wu. If you play as Lu Bu in the scenario where he has Pu Yang take out Cao Cao first, and it makes things much easier. |

Liu Zhang, I only played as just for my love for Zhang Ren, Liu Biao I could not be bothered. Lu Bu, I was forced to play as him before at my friends! On an earlier scenario. It is pretty easy to take out Cao Cao during 198 or 194 on RoTK XI. Lu Bu's force is made out of tough Generals, so Lu Bu, Cheng Gong, and Lu Lingqi in the same unit can cause much devastation! The rest of the force led by Zhang Liao and Gao Shun can provide an excellent assistance units. Or to take down the castles. That's how I take out Cao Cao. Though never did finish that story. |

I like to play Liu Bei during the early years and try to find a way to get him to Shu, which is basically pretty damn difficult. For example, if I play the Anti Dong Zhuo campaign, my city is Ping Yuan, and I try to transport my soldiers down South, eventually taking Yong An before Liu Zhang does. I usually run out of rations before getting there. |

Oh yes, I've done this before. I'm play at 184 with him to do this. I start a force with Zhang Shiping and give him about ten officers, I make sure Liu Bei and his three brothers leave on a unit from Liu Yan's force. They take off with 1000 Cavalry Soldiers to Bei Hei. Eventually when I get them there They duel off Zhang's officers and lose purposely. I capture them and quickly eliminate Liu Yan, have them as hostages on my land as free officers and hire them. Then I get Zhang killed and Liu Bei is the leader. Of course I make sure they keep the orginal Liu Bei color. This is the only times I play as him. Edit: I make sure I leave straight to Yi after. |

Cao Cao almost all the time. Sometimes Lu Bu but not much and sometimes created force. Cao Cao I just love, many awesome officers, good city to start in and good position. Plus, I love fighting stupid Yuan Shao. |

I play the forces which aren't the usual bunch (Cao Cao, Liu Bei)l lol
 . Im currently doing Yan Baihu on RTK XI - Rival Warlords scenario, all historic settings, its so hard, I dont even think its possible to win with him to be honest
 .
