I was wondering, if you have a different version Sw2 to your SW2XL can you still load your save file, e.g. Aust. SW2, US SW2XL?

well i havent tried that too have you tried to do that maybe youll see the answer yourself.. -_-

Why respond then? It was a question, Tokyo wanted an answer, a helpful answer, and to be quite honest your solution contributed nothing so please if you don't have anything useful to contribute, then don't post at all.
Thanks for your time ;)

@tokyo2040: I'll try and help with this, I assume you have a modded PS2 though it doesnt really matter xD, and i do not belive a PAL (Aus) SW would be compatible with a NTSC-US SW2: XL, simply because of the different regions.
Aren't you finding and SW2: XL games in Oz?

What state do you live in?
Because according to EB, there is a few stores that have pre-owned (if you dont mind) copies of the game in NSW...

I live in WA, so...

If all else fails, I can either play it without SW2, or just get a US version of it.

Well then.... I wish you the best of luck in your searches, may they be fruitful! If all else fails, maybe ebay will work.

Is there any way to really max out the stats of an officer? Let me explain: I know that the max value for the attack of musashi is 188, so once you get this value you can consider that stat maxed out. But the truth is that if you see the stats of musashi at the officers screen (vault, or end of a stage), you see that the bar of the attack is not full to the very end. So my question...
EDIT:I have maxed out the growth abilities since Lv.1 of musashi

It may be something to do with the fact you get those abilities where "........ grows easier" at level ups. With my characters I try and get those ones first so when I do level up it perhaps increases the values that they level up by.

Thats what I figured anyway, does that actually help the Max values of stats?

I guess I could've posted this in the SW Help Thread, but since the vast majority of people here don't own this game, I'll just post my question here :P

I am stuck in the 4th Musou mode (Savior) and the stage where Oichi is locked in a dungeon/prison/whatever. For the life of me, I can't complete this stage in the required amount of time because I can't find the stupid dungeon <_<

I find a little girl, a fragile key, a [normal] key, find the thieves and trade something with them (I can't remember now what) and I even find Goemon and wipe the floor with his oversized ninja butt for the weapon he drops, but I can't seem to find Oichi anywhere

I have the Magamata (sp?) item equipped to reduce time, but it does no good because in the process of trying to retrace my steps to find her, I keep triggering all of the ambushes and lose a lot of time fighting them.

I gave up after a few attempts and continued my SW2:XL pwnage, but I would like to complete this stage and continue on with the rest of the game. Any help would be appreciated ^_^

Is anyone else familiar enough with this game to be able to help?

Sorry for the extremely noob SW2/2XL question (just started playing Musou games this year), but I just want to make sure before wasting money/orbs on a character's weapon that doesn't need em...anyways, my question is, what exactly does each attribute do?

If I understand correctly, I think I sorta understand the following (please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these)...

Fire: continues to damage while in the air (juggling).
Ice: chance to freeze opponent
Lightning: ???
Wind: ???
Darkness: ???
LIFE: Increases life bar?
MUS: Increases musou attack strength?
ATK: I'm guessing it increases both regular and charge attack strength?
DEF: seems self explanatory
RIDE: I'm guessing it increases attack and defense while on horseback?
SPD: I'm guessing it increases running speed?
DEX: I'm guessing it increases attack speed?
LCK: ???
MuCh: Start with musou gauge partially or fully full?
RNG: I'm guessing it increases attack range?

Again, this is for SW2/2XL

Thanks ahead of time for any help given...

Well, heres the list of those with ? or aren't correct:

Lightning: Lightning damage spreads in closed crowds, causing damage to more enemies.
Wind: Chance of attacks going through guard
Darkness: In SW2, can instant kill peons and inflict heavy damage on generals, in SW2XL, only deals damage equal to a fraction of the opponents remaining health, meaning it gets weaker as there health decreases.
MUS: Increases the size of the musou bar
DEX: Not sure really, I heard it increases jump
LCK: Increases luck, so higher chance of getting better weapons, don't think it affects learning skills
MuCh: Increases the speed your musou bar charges up

Hope this helps!!! ^_^

I hope this can go here...Its about SW and I need help...

My brother bought SW2:XL recently and we might get SW2 in a few weeks so I was wondering, if you get SW2:XL and play through it first will it mess the games up in any way? It's bugging me...

I'm not sure if this has been asked before. Forgive me if it has.

There should be no effects if you play XL before the actual thing, just use "Load Original" if you want to play the rest of SW2. ^_^

i've started playing Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends again recently on a quest to finish that game once and for all... i started from scratch and it was an easy ride until i hit a massive road block...

it concerns finishing the missions... Mitsuhide's mission to be exact... for some reason, the 8th mission on his Yamazaki- upper path doesn't want to activate... i've been trying to complete that mission for a long time now...

any help about how to activate that mission will be greatly appreciated...

Well, you have to fail the 3rd mission wich is clearing out the enemies from Mt Tenno, To fail on that mission get close to the enemies main base.
But then you also have to make sure Nobuharu Tsuda and Miyabei Kurota are alive and wait for the Kurota army to ambush the Tsuda army inside the cave to activate the mission.
This is from a FAQ, I'll try the stage myself later on.

I read this but there's no way Nobuharu would enter the cave and there's no Kurota Miyabe...

Okay, I've tried the stage three times but I couldn't suceed.
What I did find is that its Kanbei Kuroda, not Kurota Miyabe according to my mission log, but when Kanbei and Tsuda did fight nothing happened, so it has to be in the cave like it said, but there is like you said no way to move Tsuda.
