In order of Wu characters: Ding Feng, Cheng Pu, Zhu Ran, Sun Shao.

Cheng Pu deserves it more than Ding Feng, but Ding'd be available for later levels, which is a plus. Zhu Ran was Lü Meng's successor in Jingzhou, and Sun Shao...well, actually, Xu Sheng'd be a better choice, in my opinion.

Oh, and I'm moving this to DW Discussion.

These three are certainly up for implementation soon I think. I've been predicting Cheng Pu since DW3. (But then I've been saying that about Cao Hong too...) Wu could certainly do with more badasses in it, esp with all the pretty boys! Koei seem to pick characters they can base the most events on rather than how long chracters were in a force, so I think that's why we're still waiting on these guys.

By the way, am I the only one who wants Han Dang in this game?

He'd be an ok additon, but wasn't as noticable as Cheng Pu or Zhu Ran, in my opinion.

There's no argument on that, and I wouldn't expect Koei to make him playable anytime soon. I just have an affinity with his character, as you do with certain ones.

I undestand where you're coming from. I still don't understand why they haven't put Qu Yi in yet.

Would I be wrong for assuming you went out of your way to mention an obscure officer like Qu Yi? :P

Maybe if Yuan Shao's more prestigious officers ever become playable we might see Qu Yi...maybe...probably not...not before Jiang Bin...

It's a hard choice, but it would have to be Yuan Shu and possibly Ji Ling for me, I mean, it would usher is a brand new force into the game, an interesting one at that. You have Yuan Shu, greedy, selfish and at times extremly foolish. But also, he was ambitious and must have been at least quite a successful ruler, to gain as many men, officers and land as he did. Ji Ling, as well would have an interesting storyline, with duels with Guan Yu, and the argument with Liu Bei, since alot of the story with Lu Bu, Liu Bei and Yuan Shu isn't really featured in the game, it would add eben more longevity to it.

If possible, I would also like to see prehaps Ma Tseng, as he was both a brave warrior and good leader, since Ma Chao and Pang De are already playable, if he was added, another force would then be featured fully into the game, and if there was room, Ma Dai would make for a decent addition, with battles against Cao Cao, and later on in the Southern and Northern Campaigns. The problem is, is that alot of the story for Ma Tseng would have to made up, unless more battles were made for him in the short time he's featured, before he dies and the fact he always stays in the Liang region.

Yan Liang and Wen Chou...what a pair. But they would bee too similar prehaps to add, both strong, tall and powerful men, and both probably of simialr appearance, it would be hard to seperate the roles they play in the game. Unless prehaps they had a friendly rivalry, but I suppose rushing to defeat the most people before the other does gets to say the least, boring. Although, it would probably finalise the force of Yuan Shao, going even further though would be adding one his advisors such as Tian Feng or Ju Shou. I wouldn't really be that bothered if these two aren't added for a while.

There are two other rulers which I think are worth mentioning, Liu Zhang and Liu Biao. Firstly, Liu Biao, didn't, as many belive just sit and watch the situation fold out. While everyone was fighting, he was unifying Jing, and turning his force into what could've been an empire. He did have capable officers, such as Gan Ning, Huang Zhong and Wei Yan. But also remembering those such as Cai Mao and Wen Pin, also his brilliant advisors, like Yi Ji, Kuai Liang and his brother. Since pretty much everyone wanted a piece of Jing, and he had many conflicts with Yuan Shu and Sun Jian, I think it wouldn't be a bad choice to add him and his force. Moving to Liu Zhang, while he himself was not exactly the fighting type, nor in particular the leading type, he led a strong solid nation. He, as well as Liu Biao had many capable officers, prehaps even better excluding Gan Ning, Huang Zhong and Wei Yan. He had the great Zhang Ren, Yan Yan, Li Yan, and the brilliant mind known as Fa Zheng. Maybe if he himself (Liu Zhang) was not to be added, but definatly his vassals deserve to be. Maybe in particular Yan Yan, as he went on to serve Shu in many battles.

And finally, a few names worth mentioning, starting off with Chen Gong. Many storylines with Cao Cao and Lu Bu, a great advisor, and I belive the game is already full of great warriors, but short of the intellectual. Next, Gao Shun, acclaimed as being almost equal in strength to Zhang Liao, he was a great general, second in Lu Bu's army only to Zhang Liao. Said to be able to break any formation the enemy takes up. And finally, Wu Tugu. His uniqueness would be brilliant, a ginat of a man, his weapon simply brutal. And his looks, dark and disturbing. Leading his strong troops.

But as I said before, Yuan Shu would be the best addition to the game if you ask me.

Among my picks would be, as you said, Yan Liang, Ji Ling (and/or Yuan Shu), and Chen Gong. Also, Gongsun Zan, Jia Xu (he served Li Jue and Zhang Xiu before Cao Cao), and Liu Zhang and/or Zhang Ren would be cool.

Chen Gong. "Look! Baozi fairy!"

Gao Shun would be a nice choice, as well as...Yan Liang. We would have a nice scene where Guan Yu speeds right through Yan Liang, and a second later, we see Yan Liang's head fall off. Same with Wen Chou.

Gryffin's so going to kill me for saying that comment on Yan Liang. :P

I can't really think of anyone else. Ji Ling would be a nice candidate.

I'd make a comment about how similar they'd be, but I just thought of the Qiaos.

If Wen Chou was put in, they have to put in, if not Gongsun Zan, one or two levels involving him. I'm thinking Jie Qiao and the siege of Yi Jing.

The conflict with Yuan Shao and Gongsun Zan has really been a missed oportunity in previous games if you ask me. It has great potential, what with the Bai Ma Cavalry and the siege at Yi Jing.

Also, I believe that the war in the Xu province concerning Yuan Shu, Cao Cao, Lu Bu and Lu Bei, isn't explored enough.

All in all prehaps they could make the game less centered around those of the three kingdoms and make it a bit more like ROTK games.

Jackpot. That's why it's Xing Cai and not anyone else... yes? ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing any of these characters, but I can only wonder what kind of character story would they have. The longevity of Cheng Pu's service seems like to make him fit for a "veteran guardian" type of personality... which I don't think fit the Wu general mould of speedy characters. >.>

Although an extra spear user that isn't Shu is definitely most welcome.

Same here. However I'd also like to see Ma Su from Shu, Ding Feng and Zhuge Jin from Wu, and Wen Pin as well as Cao Xiu from Wei.

Other? I could get into a list.

Zhang Bao and the other brother to Zhang Liao
Guo Shan, from Lu Bu's army
Zhang Lu, from the original land of Shu
Wen Chou, from Yuan Shao's army
Yan Liang, same as above
