Allright, lets get it started. Azuchi Castle is a fun track to listen to, though it may get repetitive at times. I'll give it OK. Honnoji's tracks can be viewed 2 ways: SW1's makes it seem like a final stage of sorts, with the end of Nobunaga looming. The nature of the track makes it my choice here. SW2's track could make it be seen as a dividing point between the Nobunaga era and the Hideyoshi/Ieyasu era. Honestly, I like Yamazaki's SW2 track. Sometimes I find myself humming it, its really catchy, especially the part before the track loops. OK, sorry to double post, but honestly, how hard is it to vote? Surely at least half of the board has played both SW games and remember what these tracks are?... |

I loved the Honnoji song in SW1, it was way better than the Honnoji song in SW2. |

What about the other 2? People, the votes are multi-choice for a reason, you also have to give your stand on the other tracks and not just the one you like amongst the selection. |

Yamazaki SW2 is one of my favorites. The others I've voted on as well but don't feel strongly enough to comment on them. |

Honnoji SW2. It's upbeat, catchy, and makes it feel like Mitsuhide is coming to kill you. Literaly. Chin! You hear?! ADD IT TO TEH JUKEBOX! |

Varying levels of intensity seems to be a theme when comparing SW1 to SW2, and again, it's no different here; although more intense does not necessarily always mean better. Azuchi Castle: One of the less intense SW1 tracks, which I find interesting as Nobunaga is SW1's main focus, so I might have expected something more dramatic. Regardless, I like the theme anyway, so it gets an Awesome from me. Azuchi Castle: 8.0/10 Honnoji: Now I see where all that drama went, straight into SW1's Honnoji theme. It's hard to find a more intense, panicy theme anywhere in the DW or SW series, which suits the portrayal of the battle in SW1...but unfortunately the theme gets boring too quickly. I think that with a remix, and a bit of variety (maybe a slight interlude in the neverending background beat), it could be better. SW2's version is lighter, certainly, as is the case with nearly all the SW2 themes. I would question such a key event being represented by this theme, but it's not a massive issue, as there are bigger battles in themselves in other parts of the game. And I like the theme itself, so it takes my vote. Honnoji SW1: 7.2/10 Honnoji SW2: 8.3/10 Yamazaki: Again, two very varied themes here, for two very varied atmospheres. In SW1 it marks the end of Akechi's conquest; in SW2 it marks the start of Hideyoshi's, so I don't have any qualms about them fitting their respective stages. As to which theme I like better...probably SW1's. Yamazaki SW1: 7.9/10 Yamazaki SW2: 7.6/10 |
